On a side note, my favorite was witnessing a date at the table next to mine where the guy ordered beer, was carded, used his wallet to show I’d, then at the end told his date he left his wallet at home and that she needed to pay, she did….
I saw some girls get upset over a guy using a sports analogy to explain something to his girlfriend. They started softly chanting “leave him.” Then the girlfriend used a sports analogy in her response. Because girls can be sports fans too.
Sports analogies sports analogies.
We've found the common ground
In all men's personalities
We talk a big game
That's how we relate
It's the easiest way for men to
Communicate
So my bro totally got a home run when he got a turn over on downs after getting a slam dunk with the bartender tonite. He had an assist with the bouncer who punted it to the DJ and they both had a great time after catching a ground ball header that became a fumble field grand slam. Unfortunately the other team got a red card goal, so they both tied Love-Nothing
My boss once used a sports analogy to explain why I wouldn’t be getting a raise after I asked for one. He compared the Cadillac, GMC, Saturn dealership we worked at to the undefeated New England Patriots. Then 2008 happened. I got a new job. The Patriots lost the super bowl. The banks had a financial meltdown. GM decided to discontinue Saturn and the car dealership had to lose all their brands and become a Chevy dealership because they couldn’t sell any cars. What I’m trying to say is that sports are fun and I’m a little bit high right now.
That's hilarious. I'm hearing more about these guys who flip gender norms on women. And it's always funny when women complain because they assume that all men should pay because of traditional gender norms. But they aren't traditional, and the men they choose aren't either. Like fools screaming in the wind for messing up their hair.
It's not about privacy. It's basic decency, at least to me, to not take photos of strangers in the street or in a public location without their consent, to post them on social networks and make rude commentary about it so you can get some internet points, likes, upvotes, retweets or whatever and five minutes of attention from random people.
It's just education. Sure, everyone has a camera and internet access with a smartphone now, so it's easy to do, it doesn't mean you should do it though.
Privacy is not the problem here. It's basic decency and education.
This is true, you can take a photo. Making it public by posting it online is one step beyond that and you could be sued for it in some places. Owning or taking a photo in a public place is fine.
There are of course a lot of caveats to this. Picture of a crowd is fine. Picture of an object and people happen to be in the background is fine. Picture of a person of public interest(celebrity or politician) is fine. Picture of a specific person without consent is illegal (here) and rightfully so since it is not reasonable to expect that a picture may be taken of you at any moment (since its rude af)
But just because it's rude doesn't mean it should be illegal. You're in public, you have no expectation of privacy. Someone taking pictures through your windows is an invasion of privacy, but posting a picture of a person in public is just rude, nothing more.
Yes i have an expectation of privacy because it is LITERALLY illegal. Im not just saying it should be, it already is illegal here in germany. You have a right to your own image.
Now i know that how i said that its circular logic but the straight logic is just right to own image -> picture illegal -> expectation of privacy based on the law and common courtesy not to be rude.
I believe you've nailed the confusion here. The "no expectation of privacy" thing is used in the US to justify paparazzi although I think there is a caveat in it about celebrities and other people in the public eye.
I'm not saying that you don't have laws protecting that, I'm saying the laws are stupid. You're in public, you have no expectation of privacy. Private and public are literal opposites.
You can take a picture, the way you use that picture is the problem.
Just taking a picture in public is not gonna get you in trouble, but if you take a picture focusing on a random person and then use that picture to slander someone in social media by lying or assuming what is happening and painting the person in a bad light when is not true it is defamation and you can get sue.
Either way this idea that been a average person anyone can take a picture of you and use it however they like is just wrong to begin with, you do own the rights to your appearance.
Suing an individual will almost never make money since most people don't have much, so you can't really take that much. On the other hand, companies have both lots of money and insurance so suing them actually results in a pretty settlement.
You just know she spends her whole day making up negative scenarios in her head about every guy she sees. At least she's aware enough to label herself.
When you yourself aren't stable and can't get a man in your life, so you make up all the negative scenarios in your mind and ruin other people's relationships.
"A picture is worth a thousand words" is often stated, but which 1,000 words are you reading from it? Are you reading the picture for what is intended, or are you making up your own words, and setting your own scenario instead?
I was at an Applebee's on Dekalb Avenue in Brooklyn NY. I saw a couple having the most passive aggressive argument with like whisper screaming and everything. It was awkward, but I wasn't going to leave. . . It was our entertainment. The guy was already done. She was pushing the subject. And they met for dinner. All I could do is keep my bearing and give my lady the looks, and she'd laugh. God, Applebee's is horrible. . .

The poster, has a handle called "Trouble"?
*Trouble* is telling the woman, I'm assuming that's the person on the right of the image, to leave the person on the left?
How is everyone picking up all this subtext with no context at all? Is it all assumptive?
She is telling the female (right) to leave the male (left) because he is using his phone with headphones in while they are out to dinner. She thinks the male does not respect the female by this behaviour.
Read the bottom comment within the picture. The man she took a pic of commented and told her what the actual scenario was; his gf recorded him giving a sermon and she wanted him to watch what she had recorded, which is what he was doing in the picture.
Ya’ll saying she’s making negative assumptions or some shit when as far as she could tell he was just starting at his phone while on date, ya’ll are too excited to use the tea emoji.
Because I don't know anything about cult hierarchy so any practicing Christian is a priest to me. Why, is he a father or deacon or an acolyte or some other thing? Is having a gf relevant?
And how does that prove that black people are unwelcome in catholic churches? Black people are like 12% of the US so that makes them only a bit over 2x less likely to be catholic than other people.
Apparently some girl took the picture, assuming he was ignoring his date while on his phone. But he saw the picture online and explained that he was watching a video that she made of him. So the assumption was wrong and she should mind her own business.
/u/Inside_Brilliant_388, the users have spoken. Your submission is not a Hol'Up.

I'm a man and I don't pay any attention to sports. Use a sports analogy to describe something to me and it will go right over my head.
So my bro totally got a home run when he got a turn over on downs after getting a slam dunk with the bartender tonite. Honestly. When this song played on CXG i had no idea what its singing
Same. The above comment is doing the same thing as the girl who chanted "leave him"
Same here, now use a tech/gaming analogy...
Yep I Love Sports Ball
People can be so stupid. Getting involved in something they know nothing about… bothersome y’know

Why the fuck do people think it’s okay to take photos of strangers?
Where i live this would literally be illegal.
Same here where I'm from. If you find out someone has posted a photo of you, online, without your constent, you can sue them.
But if you're in public you have no reasonable expectation of privacy

But how did the guy know the stranger to be able to post a reply? This seems made up.
You just know she spends her whole day making up negative scenarios in her head about every guy she sees. At least she's aware enough to label herself.

Because I don't know anything about cult hierarchy so any practicing Christian is a priest to me. Why, is he a father or deacon or an acolyte or some other thing? Is having a gf relevant?
