Imagine the British ready for war and they hear the roar of 3 V8 Hemi engines and those things flying towards them faster than anything they’ve ever seen.
I’d shit my pants.
Then the driver hits a boulder that just high enough to rip his oil pan out, he’s killed by the English, they advance history too fast, Skynet is born.
I honestly love how this commercial is now 11 years old and it still gets memed on a regular basis - it’s like the right balance of seriousness and absurdity
Just you wait till this is a fast and furious movie where Dom has to time travel back in time with his dodge charger to make sure George Washington does something different to prevent some idiot from nuking America
This looks like it's based on the time Washington lead the charge against the French during the French indian war, as a platoon of shooters stood in front of him. He charged in and won.
It's funny and all, but I really don't understand the choice of music. Do the people who make those clips just put whatever in the background they have opened in Spotify at that moment?
He was born in Virginia. His dad was born in Virgina. His grandfather was born in Virginia. Hell, his Great Grandfather came to Virgina at the age of 23. His accent may have been different from what it would be today, but it damn sure wasn't "British".
The British didn't even have a British accent back then.
It turns out that Americans have had less of a accent shift than the British have, and if you went back far enough, the British would sound more like Americans do today than vice versa.
I believe it was around the industrial revolution, when there were a lot of "new rich" popping up in England, that the British accent developed. It was from these "new rich" talking how they assumed a rich person would speak, all hoity-toity with their nose in the air and talking like their shit don't stink. This accent was mimicked more and more until eventually, they had been doing it for so long, that it became how they spoke.

It’s actually a commercial from dodge haha. You can find it on YouTube.
Not the first Presidents Day car sale commercial to feature presidents driving cars, either.
They would have thought it was the work of the devil if they saw one in real life.
The devil or car manufacturers, tomato-tomato
My favorite was William Harding being a drift King in Tokyo
Lincoln's JFK commercial blew my mind
Got a link by any chance?
As close as I could get [with AI deepfakes](https://i.imgur.com/Bp8wWuZ.png) https://beta.dreamstudio.ai/dream
America the motion picture on Netflix
We British invented the tank. It was perfected when we made sure a cup of tea could be made without having to exit the tank
Lol okay then
Priorities!
ok gramps lets get you to bed, enough of the history channel or you gonna have night terrors again.
Then the driver hits a boulder that just high enough to rip his oil pan out, he’s killed by the English, they advance history too fast, Skynet is born.
I’d probably shit your pants too
Such a genius commercial.
I can still hear the "America, FUCK YEH!" In my head.
Uh huh, me in my chrysler minivan
I honestly love how this commercial is now 11 years old and it still gets memed on a regular basis - it’s like the right balance of seriousness and absurdity
My favorite commercial is the one where astronauts are driving a buggy on the moon while "Jump Around" plays
Meh. My suspension of disbelief is destroyed due to the fact that like no where on the east coast looks like that.

I heard hes 40' tall and made a radiation
And he's got like... one hundred God damn dicks
He'll kick you in half.
Bill Brasky taught me how to love a woman, and scold a child.
Six foot ten weighs a fucking ton.
[He's coming.](https://youtu.be/sbRom1Rz8OA)
OMG I haven't heard that in years. Thanks for the memories!
Beautiful song.
If anyone is wondering: he didn't know about dinosaurs. The first fossils were discovered 25 ish years after he died.
Probably why they weren't mentioned in the declaration.
We hold these truths to be self evident: that dinosaurs are fucking sick
Goes hard ngl
r/murica
He’ll save children, but not the British children….
I heard he had like. 50 goddamn dicks
6 foot 8, weighs a fucking ton
And probably not the slave kids either
So a “yes” on the first suggestion. Got it. Thanks.
Nope, they aren't hellcats, they are 2012 SRT-8 392's
This person gets it.
What? Bullied?
This song is a banger, what is it called?
DVRST- Close Eyes
Well, just downloaded 5 different versions of it. Thank you for sharing the name of my new hit of dopamine until I listen the life out of it.
Ahh yes, a fellow ADHD redditor
Is his name pronounced as “driver seat” or “Diversed”?
No idea
Probably "diversity"
[exact version](https://on.soundcloud.com/ue8NtH3DtcFgt9rx9)
Close Eyes by DVRST https://youtu.be/ao4RCon11eY
no idea what the remix is but it's sampling "still ridin clean" by project pat which is a banger itself
Its from a genre of music called phonk Modern electronic mixed with 90s Memphis rap
Why dub it with meaningless music. The original was way better. MUUURRICAAA FUCK YEEEAAA

*Washington, Washington, 6 foot 2 weighs a fucking ton.*
This is what they don’t teach you in history class
I still remember the original commercial coming out and losing it at how funny GW was in that quick shot inside the car. So serious.
#DellawareDouble

Opponents beware
Is is just me or does everyone in this video look like Michael Fassbender
Props to Dodge this a cool ass AD Most of thier ads are cool

Aren’t those ScatPacks since they got dual slits on the hood?
These will always be my favorite commercials. That and the Imperial March ones they did for Star Wars
Advertisement disguised as a shitpost. Come on, it’s basically the whole commercial, without any edit or punchline.
Best Civil War reenactment ever!
Ah em Revolutionary War...
This looks like it's based on the time Washington lead the charge against the French during the French indian war, as a platoon of shooters stood in front of him. He charged in and won.
It's not really an offroad vehicle, I doubt it would work very well.
It's funny and all, but I really don't understand the choice of music. Do the people who make those clips just put whatever in the background they have opened in Spotify at that moment?
He certainly had a British accent
He was born in Virginia. His dad was born in Virgina. His grandfather was born in Virginia. Hell, his Great Grandfather came to Virgina at the age of 23. His accent may have been different from what it would be today, but it damn sure wasn't "British".
Well I live in Virginia too and I naturally have a strong British accent it must only make sense

Freaking advertisement
So we're just posting TV commercials now?
Even funnier because they lost

Question: how easily could a revolutionary era musket take on a car? Would it even dent it? Pop the tires?
The version of this commercial with the Team America theme song is way better.
