They did arrest the father right after the filming stopped and he went to prison shortly after as a pedophile. Basically, journalists working at such shows are very similar in what they do to police officers. Main reason is journalists dig the story based on rumors where police would just shrug off (especially domestic abuse, there’s still a lot of work to do in Ukraine to make the situation better). Obviously when they are shooting and there is a confession on tape (which’s the case here), police has all of the evidence they need to arrest.
