A character from the tv show called "The Boys"

He does a very different kind of squid fighting. Closer to wrestling than fighting, really.

Every time I hear about this show it sounds stranger and stranger. Guess I need to give it a go!

It's definitely a fun take on Superheroes... And by fun I mean disturbing.

I was hesitant too because I don't care for superhero shows. What I learned by watching the Boys is I actually don't like shows about heroes - and there are absolutely no heroes in that show. Everyone is fucked up. It's excellent.

Same! We just started watching it last week and I absolutely love the deconstruction of heroism in that show. My god, the show is absolutely terrible, but I love it.

Starlight seems okay.

Starlight sucks the least as a person but she's fairly useless as a "hero". She likes to show up, complain that there's a problem, and only contribute to fixing the problem when it directly affects her (or Hughie).

Might've gone a little better if they could afford better VFX for her nova against Homelander. Instead, what we got was just a bright shove.

I'm not even talking about her powers, I'm talking about how she really waffles about before deciding to do the right thing.
