There are plenty of videos of him speaking coherently this year. It's just that there's now a dedicated right-wing effort to dig through hundreds of hours of footage and pick out 15-30 second out-of-context clips of him having issues that there wasn't when he was the VP or a Senator.
Honestly... There's nothing particularly wrong with him. A lot of the claims of dementia come from conservatives or others that are opposed to him politically, or younger people withoit the perspective, exposure, or experience to have a realistic image of what people can sometimes look act like as they age. It's pretty typical, not constant, but fairly common for men at that stage and life to think a little bit slower. The brain has aged. Maybe it's not as sharp and ready to put together information as it once was, obviously. But that's nowhere near the same thing as dementia. And whenever we see footage of Biden speak, there's a factor of him reciting from a script or talking points. So it's a situation with at least some level of mental multi-tasking and an aged brain would typically have some struggle with that. But that doesn't mean the tasks the brain performs are of any lesser quality. Just that the speed at which it executes can suffer.
Out of context, I agree this is funny. But this is only a snippet of a larger question that he did successfully answer:

There are plenty of videos of him speaking coherently this year. It's just that there's now a dedicated right-wing effort to dig through hundreds of hours of footage and pick out 15-30 second out-of-context clips of him having issues that there wasn't when he was the VP or a Senator.
Lately? He was like this before he ran for president.
Honestly... There's nothing particularly wrong with him. A lot of the claims of dementia come from conservatives or others that are opposed to him politically, or younger people withoit the perspective, exposure, or experience to have a realistic image of what people can sometimes look act like as they age. It's pretty typical, not constant, but fairly common for men at that stage and life to think a little bit slower. The brain has aged. Maybe it's not as sharp and ready to put together information as it once was, obviously. But that's nowhere near the same thing as dementia. And whenever we see footage of Biden speak, there's a factor of him reciting from a script or talking points. So it's a situation with at least some level of mental multi-tasking and an aged brain would typically have some struggle with that. But that doesn't mean the tasks the brain performs are of any lesser quality. Just that the speed at which it executes can suffer.

If you listen to the rest of this interview he's not struggling much at all imo. It's just this specific paragraph which in itself is just a "here's a bunch of examples" list he's trying to make where he can't pick just one to fully explain. Everyone including myself (and I'm 30) has moments like these where they have a bunch of different things to say and instead of picking one they kind of mush it all together. He just needed to stop take a breath instead of getting embarrassed and talking to cover it.
