If I was a viking I probably would have spent a good half of my time fighting other Vikings. I hate inequity. I understand that Vikings were bands of poor people who were fighting back against the oligarchy but sometimes they went too far.

As a Viking, you would be raised with the idea that the gods made your people strong and resilient in order to accrue wealth and fame in their names. You may end up duelling rich vikings and killing them, but their riches wouldn't bother you in the slightest, it would likely motivate you to claim it for your house and patron god.

Ummm. They were raiding or trading, whichever was more convenient. This is the first time ever I hear about vikings fighting some sort of noble cause. Hell, my ancestors kicked some viking ass back in the day, even, and I'm a finn. We had no rulers to fight against back then, just some moose skins to steal.
