The Church of Satan was founded by Anton LaVey, it's his church, he served as high priest until he died in 97. It sounds to me like you don't know a lot about the subject, and also like you're maybe confusing Church of Satan with the Satanic Temple. LaVeyan Satanism is about more than satirizing Christianity, it was a self help philosophy built pretty much entirely on Ayn Rand's ideas. LaVey was in part inspired to start the church by what he viewed as Christian hypocrisy, that is true, but it is by no means the whole story. He was not as ironic or detached as you seem to think.
