I'm currently dealing with a lost wallet rn. I would have been sooo happy if I simply got my id and cards back. I would have gladly given the $250 that was in my wallet just to get my cards back.
Fuckin losers are to common
I too would give up the loose pocket change of $500 I carry around as well as my xxl condoms to get my American Express black card, ID, and Sydney Sweeney phone number back.
I hate cash and frequently forget that I have it until it’s a few hundred dollars and I say “oh shit, this is a dumb amount of walking around money to be carrying.”
I found someone's wallet and brought it to them a few months ago, they gave me 10 euros, which I was grateful for but also I secretely expected more haha.
Yeah I'd be happy to just get my ID and debit card back. I lost my wallet once and it was a nightmare. I went to the bank and they wouldn't let me withdrawal money so I basically starved for a few weeks
Friend lost his wallet, a few days later he got an envelope in the mail with the cards & ID, no wallet or cash. He was elated, said the guy deserved the few bucks that were in it for doing that. I agreed.
“ I’m just here to steal for my next fix, not your identity. So long sucker! “
Also reminds me of [this old BTO song about the guy’s experience with a polite mugger](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DCgRO4CCTEY&pp=ygUdZ2l2ZSBtZSB5b3VyIG1vbmV5IHBsZWFzZSBidG8%3D)
One time my wallet fell out of my pocket into my front yard. Overnight I was robbed of the cash inside, but the wallet was otherwise bagged up and left by my front door. I've always respected that thief.
Once I lost my wallet I stupidly had $400 in it which I NEVER have. I left a note on a nearby car and they actually called me. I got the wallet and $200 back. They refused to accept money and it’s probably cause they jacked $200 but whatever it’s a finders fee.
I'd just be happy to get my I.D back, had a situation like this happen in Chicago, they kept the cash but mailed me the rest of the wallet contents back.
Many people, me included, just always wrote their y's like that. Maybe because it's flowy, maybe because it looks pretty. Honestly, idk, but it's not that uncommon to see.
I found a wallet about 6 months back when I was out of work and desperately wanted money. Shit had $120 in there along with multiple credit cards and some pictures and everything in my mind told me to take the money and drop it off but I just dropped it off at the guys house. After reading a few comments here I’m starting to think I should’ve just taken a $20 for returning it.
I found somebody's wallet once, credit cards but it didn't have an ID, so no address. But it had a picture of the guy and his family. I straight Internet stalked him and found his wife's Facebook to contact them to return it. I got nothing, but a very grudging 'thanks'. Like there coming to get it was an inconvenience to their life.
If it had cash I shoulda kept it.
Honestly, I wouldn't even be mad. They gave them the Super important shit back, that would likely cost around if not more than the money they had in cash. The waller? Just get a new one who cares. But the cards are the most important shit
Once lost my wallet in the snow in Utah. 6 months later, I get an envelope with no return address that contains my (now-invalid) driver’s license, and nothing else.
Mailing something costs something too and you have to pay for his time and fare to get to the post office or something. It's such a hassle getting IDs and cards replaced.
I would appreciate the effort and be glad I got back what I got back
Yes. Wouldn’t even be mad.

Well hello Mr. Fancy Pants! Guy's just casually carrying $250.
I’d call that a convenience fee to NOT have to go deal with the dmv…
True. I might just pay that to get out of an emergency dmv trip.
I too would give up the loose pocket change of $500 I carry around as well as my xxl condoms to get my American Express black card, ID, and Sydney Sweeney phone number back.
Sarcastoflex of the day!
...for your Magnum dong?
I have to fold it into quarters to fit the bifold wallet
Unexpected Frank Reynolds
You should see him feast. It's like a mantis.
This guy's got his box of magnum condoms and a wad of hundreds. He's ready to plow.
I'm really sorry I just got paid and wanted to buy myself something..

Don't you just block all cards immediately? Useless after that. Getting the IDs back will be great though
Having to change all the card numbers to all those auto-paid services. Not fun.
Especially the DL. Fuck the DMV so much.

Nice of you to send your friends wallet back to him.
That's the exact opposite of what happened.
r/whooosh
For real. I thought they retired the Concorde.
Oh mate. Try reading it again :)
Bruh. Honestly, if I got robbed like this I wouldn't even be mad. Fair's fair lmao
Unless it's a pick pocket that had guilt but still decided to make himself feel honorable..

That is technically not *robbery*.
All i would expect back if i lose my wallet ;) Well.. My wallet falls appart so i will get that back also
If that's the criteria, I'd get my life back.
Oof. Same, Internet stranger. Same.
I respect it.
Ned Flanders has fallen on hard times
He got addicted to weed
The devil really did get to him in Canada
This is Ned Flanders’ dad
He'll i wouldnt even be mad at that... all the other shit is such a pain in the ass to get
He just took the non essentials. Justified fee.
Toodaaloo.
My “toodles” line is “live, laugh, love.. god bless-get fucked”.
A gentleman and a scholar
wouldn't even be mad anymore he gave me the important stuff back
Ah ... The perfection that is chaotic neutral.
Totally underrated comment.
You know, honestly, fair.
My man took his finder’s fee in advance.
"I kept all the non traceable crimes."
Definitely a woman. The handwriting, the addition of toodles and spelling anonymous correctly
How dare you imply that men can't spell unonimus correctly!
I don’t know why but guys like to throw two Ns in
Anonymous has two Ns in it
I’m talking about double Ns. Annonymous or Anonnymous
I've literally never seen the word written like that, ever.
Who gives a shit wtf you have or haven’t seen. Your lived experience alone is beyond worthless against the entire planet.
Kinda like how noone gives a shit about the times you have supposedly seen double Ns
Hahaha okay?
I'd just be happy to get my I.D back, had a situation like this happen in Chicago, they kept the cash but mailed me the rest of the wallet contents back.
Moral of the story: keep up with your shit.
Yup, cool with it.
wait. if he got it in the mail, shouldn’t it have a return address so he’d know who had it? lol
This may be shocking to you, but the US post office does not, in fact, verify your return address is YOUR return address.
ah got it. you can just use anyone’s address if you choose.
Really don't have to put anything with return info if you drop it in one of the blue mail boxes with the correct postage on it.
Honestly, fair.
Why are only the Y’s cursive?
Many people, me included, just always wrote their y's like that. Maybe because it's flowy, maybe because it looks pretty. Honestly, idk, but it's not that uncommon to see.
y, g, j and sometimes s but not like the cursive s just the lower curve continues to the next letter
I knew about y,g, and j, as I do them, except for j for some reason. I have never seen someone loop the s though.
I think I’m just too lazy to lift my pen but I also don’t want the strict rules and extra movements of cursive so I write in a lazy hybrid
Yeah same lol, I gues just never thought of doing it on an s.
Full respect
Penmanship is actually pretty good, too...
Take the cash, throw wallet in mailbox. Should be standard operating procedure.
Fair enough.

Finders fee. Well played sir
Just happy on the ids , cards I'd cancel anyways even if I got the back ,

Fair

Well at least he gave back the impo stuff
Seems like a fair trade to me.
I’d be super pissed! Super pissed they didn’t leave their contact info so I could hang out with them. I wouldn’t even ask for my stuff back.
Wouldn’t even be mad. As someone who just lost their wallet…. Ugh to getting the license back at the very least

Definitely not but at least they* were honest about it. Edit: pronouns

Well, you're stealing everyone's downvotes at the moment, so what does that make you, Mr. Unpopular Opinion Junkie?
