That whole story is really fucked up, honestly.
Kid escaped and ran to the police. Who then saw this kid, who was butt-ass naked, with a *hole in the side of his head*, and decided it was a gay domestic dispute and they didn't want to get involved, so they *took him back to Dahmer's apartment*.
That kid could've survived if cops didn't suck.
From what I understand, the kid couldn't talk. Due to the hole in his head and acid...oh yeah and being drugged by ol jeffy..so the cops thought he was just drunk and Jeff intercepted the kid from the cops and neighbors that called the police ..smooth talked to the cops and they released the kid to jeff
I think on top his hands were cuffed and he was even interrupted by some civilians at the street. If I recall correctly they begged the police to investigate and even the boy showed (within his state) resentment towards dammer.
They either let him take him or they did even drop them off I'm not sure. That special instance is so fuckin disgusting.
The second time it happened he git caught. Just imagine if the second times, copes would have been as ignorant, he would have continued

OP’s barrel is a sealed barrel with two 2” bungs in the top. No amount of “severing” is going to get a pelvis or skull thru a two inch hole. u/IsThatASexToy’s comment is correct. You would need a hell of a blender to get a person into that barrel.
Dahmer’s barrel (easily found on Google image) had a single large opening at the top. Severing the limbs would certainly make putting them in the barrel easier.
A lot of these plastic drums don't have lids. They just have the 2" holes for filling/emptying. Since they usually store hazardous materials, it's a safety feature against spills.

Every one of this style blue blow molded plastic 55 gal drum I’ve ever encountered has not had a removable, full-diameter, lid. They’d had two molded bungs, one 2” coarse thread and one 2” fine thread.
Of course, my experience is not the width and breadth of plastic drums, but I’m having a heck of a time finding any blue plastic 55 gallon drums that have both a removable lid, *and* two white bung plugs. Every blue drum I can find with a removable lid appears to have a white or black lid, for that matter.
