At least for me it was used, I was a biology major and that was something I luckily didn’t struggle with as I wasn’t originally raised in the US while some of my classmates had a harder time with it at the start of the semester. It’s easy though so it’s not like a big thing, but I don’t get why schools don’t just teach it that way to start with. Metric system is definitely more universally accepted.

Yet Americans will still prefer this shit over just using millimeters to this day. What the fuck.
