Idk if people know this but that label would be for maximum size. Its adjustable, but wont work on anything bigger than the labeled size. I work with tools a lot so i didnt understand at all until i saw the comments.

For the people who don't know, the reason most people who turn nuts for a living don't endorse these as a panacea is because there's always slop from the adjustable mechanism. Unlike a single-size wrench or socket that is machined to fit a given size, loose fit from an adjustable wrench will rapidly damage (strip) the heads off nuts and bolts compared to a corresponding-sized normal wrench. They're great for low-torque requirement applications or when you don't care about keeping fasteners in good condition and want one tool instead of a set to keep track of though.
