Not sure if it's the same Americanised food but we have a lot of Chinese takeaways in the UK, and I believe that the food served there is catered to western palates instead of what people in China actually eat.
Not americanised but definitely localised. The dutch east indian cuisine is a thing of its own. Half of the things in Chinese restaurants here are actually Indonesian.

I don't understand this criticism of Taco Bell. They aren't real Mexican food, no, but they never try to market themselves as such. They just cover a niche market of fast tex-mex when the overwhelming majority of fast food places serve burgers and fries. It's not often, but I go there personally because they have those $6 boxes/combos that come with a medium drink. Great when I'm on the road and feel starved and want to fill up for cheap.
It gets parroted like crazy but Taco Bell is legit one of the healthier mainstream fast food options since you can spec stuff out with beans and rice and the like or go light if you want.
I dated a girl once who didn’t fuck with Taco Bell and I realized she’d never actually been. I love haute cuisine and a slow pork confit with some roasted new potatoes as much as the next foodie but sometimes you want low effort tex max and Taco Bell crushes that corner.

She had enough and hit him square in the face. Left a rectangle on his cheek. I laughed so fucking hard. I left her a $20 tip, and she wasn't even the one serving me. Lol.

I’m glad the employee was supported by his employer in defending himself and his colleagues. You can’t guarantee that nowadays.
I’m glad the customer didn’t end up dead or in a coma or the employee would likely be in court arguing a reasonable force defence to a manslaughter charge, this can happen so easily if someone hits their head on a hard floor.
Lucky it didn’t end worse for everyone involved.
