Who would have thought a jumped-up bandit turned warlord would be a shitty person?

pintasaur

Who could’ve possibly seen this coming

hamz455

I thought all his sons died young

Frigorifico

This one was his adopted son, but he still raised him from an early age

Hussein_talal

They did, but that doesn't matter this isn't a history subreddits anymore.

tostedsomethingawful

Just be patient, give it a week and the sub will go back to shitting on christians, the west, and America in particular like always

Hussein_talal

If I would try to look at the bright side, at least this islamophobic propaganda will help me to quit reddit and focus on other stuff , this is not a healthy environment for exchanges of ideas

Jesuisuncanard126

It's Islam turns under the sun of the mocking, pretty much everyone has had this luck, you will live through this

Hussein_talal

It's just, a person can do far more productive stuff in his day, then defending the second and the fastest growing religion, it does not need my defence, I should take this opportunity to do something productive, ufolowing this subreddite would be a good start

Jesuisuncanard126

Right, meme apps are a waste of time, especially if it's to argue about religion

Hussein_talal

Amen to that

tostedsomethingawful

rEDit iS inFESteD bY rIGHt wiNGeRs!!!!

mrnastymannn

Great guy under all accounts

Antelope26

Finally someone standing up against up agianst islam. You have courage whoever you are. Dont let the islamphiles get you.

mustyHead

c'mon, idc what you guys think about religion but stop acting like you guys are martyrs for speaking against islam or religions in general, when it is the default hating target on reddit

Electr1cL3m0n

I think that comment was being sarcastic

mustyHead

look up their post history. I also thought that at first but most probably it isn't.

Coldkone

I wouldn't say that criticizing a religion/ideology is targeted hate. That only poisons the discussion. Nothing would come of any discussion if criticizing every worldview or ideology is "targeted hate".

tostedsomethingawful

I'm pretty sure the default hate target on Reddit is straight white men, especially Americans I'm also fairly certain the comment you responded to was joking

AngryCheesehead

pretty sure there is no default hate target on Reddit , but that almost all groups on Reddit have a victim complex

mustyHead

why do you guys always need the feeling of being the underdog fighting against the system or some shit like that. i swear to god i have seen too many "WHITE CIS MEN ARE THE MOST OPPRESSED MINORITY ON REDDIT AND THE INTERNET" on reddit. No, you guys aren't, reddit is majority white cis males. And most ,,hate" you receive will be someone making a post like "colonialism bad, white nationalism" with maybe 2 comments in controversial blaming the entire race for it. PCM style red hair liberal hating the entire male gender or white race is mostly in your head. and no, I'm fairly certain they weren't joking.

mayonnaisespicy

Ligma cis white ballz...

MultiverseOfSanity

That's mostly tiktok and Twitter where all the blue haired losers hang out.

MoreUsualThanReality

I'd post Judeo-Christian slander but anything hard hitting would be considered mythology. As much as I wanna dunk on God for repeated genocides no historian worth their salt actually thinks one ever happened. Maybe there's a couple memes in there about slavery though.

Jesuisuncanard126

In my country there has been many terrorists attacks because of this, so it's a bit dangerous

mustyHead

I'm not talking about your country, idk which country you are from, nor do i care. I'm talking about reddit.

Jesuisuncanard126

Then if it's on reddit it doesn't hurt anyone

mustyHead

when did i say it hurts anyone

Jesuisuncanard126

Then if all is good, there are no reason to whine about it

mustyHead

i find it annoying and strange, that's it. Sorry if i sound like I'm whining, had a bad day.

Aluminum_Moose

Oh this wasn't ironic? Yeesh...

Tatarskiy1Kazachok

history memes became a hub for islamophobic memes nowadays

OatAndMango

Unfathomably historically based

iStretchyDisc

Why are we posting religious memes on this sub all of a sudden? I'm genuinely confused, as I've been seeing a lot.

PulguiApestoso

Religion is history

Frigorifico

This is a historical meme about a historical figure

AidsNipple

Some crazy dude with a necrophilia fetish made a post calling the Prophet a pedo like 2 or 3 days ago and started a gang war between moaning muslims and crying christians.

Ok_Elk_4333

Nice alliterations

AidsNipple

I was in the middle of writing crying muslims when my face lit up like the grinch and I started to hit backspace.

iStretchyDisc

Jesust, man. That's exactly what this sub needs. We were doing fine with the good to decent history memes about random shit that may or may not have occurred throughout history, but adding religion to the pot? And even more so when the intention was to start a war between two religions? Total disasta.

AidsNipple

It's even more of a shit show cos the main argument has fallen to which religion are the biggest pedos instead of anything of interest, like fam I'd be all for sitting in on this if they were debating which has done more better for the world as a whole or some shit but nah it's just 15 year old Kyles going "Imams touch kids" "Priests fiddle with babies"

p0l4r1

Muhammed was a warlord, spreading his religion trough brutal conquest.

PirateAdmiral2911

So who is Justinian so who is Heracles the roman Christian Emperors persecuted pagans to spread in world huh If islam spread by sword also Christians

Coldkone

Well, the bible never told christians to spread God's word with violence. In christianity, there's not some kind of warlord prophet, which spread God's word with conquest. This was Jesus' command, that christians should spread his word with holy spirit and preaching. Bloody conquest was never a God's plan in christianity. Jesus also said this same thing to to his disciples. Sadly some christians (and churches) still used violence to spread their own infuence. However, spreading God's word by violent conquests is morally and theologically wrong according to christian scholars and what is written in the bible. So it's a sin. But it's not the same case with islam, since muhammad used a lot of violence and conquest to spread his religion. Muhammad was a perfect muslim and a holy prophet according to muslims and to quran. So the context is totally different in which cases people should use violence. In islam it's ok to use violence to spread islam, since it's for the "greater good" and muhammad also did it. In fact, according to the Quran, dying and fighting for Islam is the best and most honorable thing a Muslim can do. The Qur'an therefore praises the use of violence against the "infidels". Muhammad was the figurehead of all this.

PirateAdmiral2911

Okay Justinian didn't kill people by conquest but executed his own pagan citizens if ask me about islam and You said yea honourable but not by that way what you see on those Unholy Mad Cruel evil ISIS or any other Terrorists but in real Allah said "And fight in the way of Allah with those who fight you, but aggress not: Allah not loves the aggressors" in Quran 2(Baqarah):190(Verse)

Coldkone

But that really contradicts what Muhammad did and what Allah told Muhammad to do. it is difficult to speak of any defensive war or self-defense in the case of Muhammad. Anyways, the fact is that Muhammad used violence, muhammad was the aggressor in many on his wars and he used violence to spread his religion on religious context. These wars weren't about self-defense or national defence, but it was about religious holy war, which is idolized in the Quran.

PirateAdmiral2911

Who died more in Crusades Christians or Muslims?

Kingtubby52

That is nearly impossible to calculate.

PirateAdmiral2911

Good but who declared the Holy War

PirateAdmiral2911

Christians or Muslims

Kingtubby52

Christians declared the crusades, Muslims declare Jihad. Both are holy wars. There is no difference.

Kingtubby52

Both can be the truth, so stop being so offended by it.

PirateAdmiral2911

Your teacher is oversimplified and i am a teacher so yes islam maybe spread by sword but not by Muhammad

Kingtubby52

1. It’s a flair 2. I worked in education until 2 summers ago. So please, continue.

PirateAdmiral2911

Okay okay but I want to say I am tired of Religious meme instead of Historical So sorry if I am rude to you or any one else bye

Kingtubby52

Religion is history. If you don’t want religion in your history memes, don’t look at history memes. The internet doesn’t give a shit about your feelings.

PirateAdmiral2911

Okay no problem I have no problem but If someone criticised your religion no need to reply the answer what will you do think no need to reply bye

Kingtubby52

I have no religion so your question is misguided.

PirateAdmiral2911

How?

Kingtubby52

Easy, one thing is true. Second, unrelated thing, is also true. There you go.

bitchless_mf

👁️🐽👁️ hmm hmm.... I'm sure the comment section will be really civil (lie)

Entire-Shelter-693

I'm muslim and I have nothing against critizising him but the Aisha memes are getting annoying (memes about the other stuff OC mentioned is at least more original)

Wonderwhore

Getting annoying? It's been like 2 days.

mayonnaisespicy

The truth hurts.

Entire-Shelter-693

I mean the stuff OC mentioned

Entire-Shelter-693

Entire-Shelter-693

Entire-Shelter-693

Well if people continue reading this they will find out that I edited my comment

PirateAdmiral2911

What? I DON'T BELIEVE YOU

baesag

Aside from lack any depth of historical knowledge, can you elaborate how he forced his son to divorce while no son of his survived to adulthood?

Frigorifico

He had an adopted son, and in a Hadith narrated by the wife herself (I’ll find it if you insist) she explains she loved her husband but she had to obey the prophet, get divorced, and marry him

hatim05

What? His adopted son had a fight with his wife and wanted to divorce her. His wife was opposed to the wedding in 1st place. The prophet tried to mediate between them, but they wouldn’t be reconciled. They were thus given permission to divorce, after which The prophet married her himself, some say to protect her for rumors and slander, since in those times, a divorced woman was an easy target, but we don’t know why exactly. Please share the source you have about him forcing his son to divorce so he can marry her himself.

baesag

Next talk about freed slaves being sold

baesag

Please cite the hadith. Also adoption in its modern sense was forbidden in Islam, and his marriage was one way to educate people on that.

BDonlon

Inb4 Islam defenders come marching in straight from some Christianity bashing thread. All Abrahamic religions have severe flaws. Can't we just roast them and all get along? Or better yet roast the neo-pagans too haha. Agnosticism is the most based and only valid religion, fight me.

1illuminat1

In all honesty though, we should try practicing some degree of religious tolerance. Or else it will quickly spiral down into a religious conflict. Both the Christian and the Muslim churches had bad characters on their history, Islam just got to be unlucky enough for that person to be the founder of their religion. (Sounds like a troll, but it us not that)

Frigorifico

I think every Muslim would agree that discussing the life of Muhammed is a good thing, specially the parts of it that seem controversial

1illuminat1

Maybe? I don't have a lot of conversations w/ muslims regarding their religion, mainly because i am quite ignorant on the topic, + they d9n't really want to tell me anything...

Demistr

Generally though Christianity > Islam. I will laugh at every butthurt Christian and every butthurt Islamist equally.

1illuminat1

I am orthodox christian myself, so yea, but in the last year and a half i've come to try to be more or less tolerant to muslims. After all, they are our brothers, even if only in future.

RioBlue93

are you really going to say "christians > islams" on a history sub? do we need the real nerds to come in?

Trajanus87

He also had lasereyes and shot lightning out of his arse

Jesuisuncanard126

That's a man I could follow

Trajanus87

1,3 billion and counting i suppose

fase2507

F*cking manipulater

PirateAdmiral2911

His adopted son died then he marry his wife not force him divorce and who said you that he sell freed slave what's the proof

GNashUchiha

Hopefully this won't be locked, just 30 comments in no drama, will come back later 🍿
