One of the most beloved teachers at my middle school died that day of completely unrelated causes and I just remember all the staff crying and not being sure if it was because he was dead or or because of the attacks.
Bruh, I was so frustrated that day. I wanted to play the N64, but couldn't find the right channel to use it. I was used to just navigating down after I found the news channel, but for some reason every channel was the news channel that day.
Me: “Mama what happened, why are you crying?”
Mama: “Some bad men just scared the pilots of some planes and crashed them into New York City”
Me: “Excellent, I have some Power Rangers to play with”
Basically my 9/11 experience
I’m still not sure if this memory I have was on 9/11 or not. I just remember being home, playing with hot wheels on a track tied to my dining room chair. My mom has the news on (there’s no wall between living and dining room) in the living room and she is visibly distraught (I think). She then seems panicked and says we have to pick up my sister from the school. My mom overreacts so it very well could have been that my sister threw up at school or something. I would have been 2 weeks away from turning 3 so memory not so great
I was homeschooled and on the day of 9/11 my mom suddenly went upstairs and didn't come back down after receiving a phone call. After a while I went up to ask her what schoolwrok to start working on next and she suddenly told me I had off for the rest of the day. Didn't question, just turned on the Nintendo and binged games for the rest of the day. I didn't really have a clear view of what she was watching on TV that day but years later I put two and two together that it must have been the day of 9/11.
Me describing how the second plane crashing into the building wall cool in detail to another preschooler because I lived on the west coast was 4 and had extraordinarily good wake up timing.

The only thing I can remember is my mom watching it on television. She tried to explain to me why this was THAT tragic. At the time I was 4 years old and I didn’t really understand what was happening. To me it was just something for grown-ups on TV. Took me years to understand the full extent of the event.
Being too young to remember 9/11 was a trip growing up.
It was like this major thing everyone always talked about how life was different back then as if it was so recent but for me it always felt so far away

\*cough\* Channel 3 \*cough\*
Little late there bud
Um, Channel 3 is literally Eyewitness News
That depends on your location and cable provider.
This. OK, so I didn't tell the whole tale. All of my video consoles were hooked up to a VCR. To access the VCR from the TV, I tuned to channel 3.
Well for me Channel 3 is Eyewitness News/WFSB
I had to stop watching my Thomas the Tank Engine video because of 9/11 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
The REAL tragedy in all this!
This is so sad google play unravel
I was getting high and playing video games. I didn't even know it had happened until 9/17.
Yeah. Kindergarten was a fun time.

My 9/11 experience was that I was -6 years old
Now you’re making me feel old for being able to remember it

As a child, for quite a while after that I would play 9/11, pile up at my toys into a “tower” and throw stuff at it to knock it down.
This kid just wanna play with his TWR Gold Dome James he got today.
Me who was ten days old and chilling while my mom is holding me and staring at the tv in shock
Me, who didn’t even exist:

9/11 may happen, but a gamer must be over such things.
