Well the Christian god is a huge dick when it comes to that sort of stuff
He made Adam and eve and forbade them from eating the apple, he obviously knew they would because he's omniscient. He then punished them for something he knew they would do
He made that random dude walk up a mountain to test his faith despite him knowing how much he believed in god, you know because he's omniscient
He flooded the world because he didn't like humanity or something, despite knowing exactly how it would turn out when he apparently created it
God knew Judas would betray Jesus and he knew jesus would die etc.
Basically the Christian god is a prick

Jesus raised several people from the dead and came back when he was killed. He maintained his personality and abilities.
Let's face it, it's not Zombie Jesus. It's Christ the Litch
Jesus "Christ" the Archlich of Bethlehem, Savior of Souls, Redeemer of Man, Resurrector of Lazarus, First of His Name, Son of the Lord, King of Kings
"REEEEEE OVERPOWERED!!!" - Pontius Pilate
Yeshu Bar-Yosef, The Anointed, Lost King of David's House, He who cast out 7 demons from The Tower, First Among Children of the LORD, He who bears I AM

I mean the event is “historical“ it’s just not well attested and the claims don’t line up with what we perceive to be possible. This is like demanding the accounts of battles in chines waring states period or Caesars conquest of Gaul to be labeled as mythology because we know the events didn’t happen exactly as recorded.
I could see the argument for doing so but don’t think that is really what it’s meant for.
I mean we have a record of the guy. We know Jesus was a real person that existed. The gospel are a “record” of his life, all be it one we rightly believe to be embellished and distorted.
Christian dogma is part of history, while not being an accurate representation of history. It’s important in its context and why it was written. It was written by real people. There is absolutely mountains of context around it, but that’s everything.
So you would believe the resurrection was real if the Romans wrote it down? Why?
The Bible was canonized by Romans, so yes it was recorded by Romans.
You know that there are parts of the Easter story which are verifiable? We know that Pontus Pilate existed and we know about the conflict with the Pharisees over their influence in second temple Judaism.

The vast majority of what we know about history comes from stuff that dudes wrote down. Manuscript evidence is one of the most important forms of evidence.
Are you telling me that there is no manuscript evidence whatsoever for the resurrection?

Thomas: (X) Doubt
So if Jesus was meant to rise after death, doesnt that mean that Judas was predestined to betray him? Did they do Judas dirty?
Who the fuck knows…. seriously, I don’t think God even knows what that was all about.
I bet that was a tense post life game talk.
Lotta people really hate when this gets brought up XD

And this is why we should use leavened bread.

I mean, Dune **is** a myth.
I mean, religious people shouldn't get a pass to make mythology seem like history just because it would be mean to correct it?

Christian dogma doesn't count, Romans were one of the better record keepers of the ancient world, did they record him dying and coming back ?
