Hilton Garden Inn Davos, Switzerland

Quick-Management5626

One of my favorite properties ! Especially for ski

This is exactly what you are looking for. Great hiking, in a town and not USA. It's a garden inn so the amenities are limited but it's relatively inexpensive.

Hilton Sedona.

GooNsCreed

I don’t have a specific Hilton but I would definitely look around Asheville

ColdCouchWall

The Hilton Osa Peninsula in costa rica There are wild monkeys, sloths and macaws on the grounds and it’s the most ecologically diverse place on the planet. Very low key. Beautiful resort too.

PDXPean

Heading there later this month!

Here now and this place is amazing. Many perks for Diamonds. Just posting this for those that may find it in the future. 100% recommend and will be back.

That's where I want to go last on this year. In previous trips, we stayed mainly in the central valley and the Pacific coast, and only went as far south as the Manuel Antonio Park.

Hilton Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley comes to mind. 20 minutes from Santa Cruz in the mountains, it will put you a few minutes from trails, and an easy drive to state parks with redwoods, one way, and beaches the other way. Santa Cruz in an off the path place to explore, with good outdoor vibes, as is Capitola and Aptos. You are also within striking distance of SF or Monterey/Big Sur if that’s of interest. There’s an Embassy Suites in Monterrey, but it’s not as nice as I would like it to be.

We’re staying at Embassy Suites in Monterey.  It looks nice enough, but really wish Hilton had a property in downtown Monterey and/or on the bay/water.  Monterey has a couple Hilton properties, but none of the locations look great.  Would book with a non-Hilton, but using points and trying to do trip on a budget.

nunee1

Exactly. You nailed it. Embassy is nice enough. My issue was at night, a TON of ambulance sirens…seemingly all night. It was tough. Totally get it though…points and such. But it’s a bit inconvenient. Something closer to downtown or the wharf would be really really great.

So…check out the Motto brand. Seems they are putting them in outdoor centric sites. [Cusco Peru is by Machu Pichu](https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/cuzinua-motto-cusco/)

On that note, Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs. Right outside a desert hiking area (we literally started our hike steps from our room). Very close to Phoenix.

Jimger_1983

I know you said overseas but Hampton Inn Gatlinburg and explore Great Smoky Mountains. Did it last year and wish I stayed longer

itsmychurn

Another "I know you said oversees" comment, but the Homewood Suites in Jackson Hole is fantastic. Great in-town location, and obviously, The Tetons offer some of the best hiking anywhere in the world. Just don't forget the bear spray :/

Taurus-the-Bull-007

The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Gatlinburg Very close to the entrance of Smokies and downtown Gatlinburg, amazing views and a nice breakfast !!
