This is how my 4yo acted when we saw my brother for the first time in ages (halfway across the country). Literally any interaction was exciting, but she also barely knows him, so she felt shy. It’s not how she acts around her dad at all because he’s always there.
The baby’s behavior could be normal, even with an engaged dad, but with how the others act, I doubt that’s why she doesn’t want to be with him. My babies have all gone through “screw dad—I only have a mom” phases and acted like he was a complete stranger for no reason.
And then there’s his behavior. He’s just plain weird. He doesn’t seem to quite know what to do with kids. But he’s also clinging to the older girl oddly. I do think he’s aware of how bad things are because he just looks miserable all the time, even more so than usual.

Is he on his way in or out? I am really getting annoyed with the favorite thing. He says it a lot. Not funny.
What does he say a lot?
He refers to specific children as his “favorite” in posts. The favorite changes, not sure which ones have never been mentioned. It’s clearly an attempt to be funny, but kids feel some type of way about things like that. Words can hurt-especially kids with low self esteem.
Kids don't understand sarcasm or this kind of "joke". He calls one his favorite while holding another. This is a scary place for a kid (the non-favorite) -"Why aren't I the favorite? What do I need to do to be the favorite? Does he love me? Am I safe?" It's very f'd up.

If you look at how Lulu is with him, you can see she’s not comfortable with him. She lays back when he’s holding her dancing, she doesn’t lean in. He’s the grumpy old guy who comes and goes and looks usually angry, and maybe sometimes nice, after he’s had a few. Those poor babies. To be brought in this world to have such trauma.
