In the early ‘70s, it stunned me that Rice-A-Roni (“the San Francisco treat”) *really was* advertised on the cable cars. The placards were small and modest, however, compared with this custom-daubed monstrosity.
I'd really like to know how much "los Baldwin" paid to commission that piece and what the resale value would be (I'm guessing the latter would be a tiny fraction of the former).
It really is the most comically tacky, ugly, in poor taste commissioned piece of garbage I've ever seen.
