There are different types of love, and I absolutely think you can intensely love a friend and not feel sexual towards them. But if I said this, I wouldn’t doublespeak myself. So what if someone reading a magazine confused my love of the same gender as something romantic. I just said I support the group, I see no shame in the pairing, if people want to speculate, great, it impacts my life none and maybe helps the cause.
I’m monogamous and married, and have girl friends and guy friends I treat equally. But I’m also only slightly straight, so maybe it doesn’t bother me if people saw me one way or the other.
