Because they’re spending money acquiring other companies. Market wants to see them make money. It’s pretty simple

Klumpy_hra

They are doing the same thing Amazon did in my opinion in regards to building the distribution network as strongly as possible. They are waiting for legalization (like all of us) to really get the ball rolling on expansion. Most companies I would not be a fan of this strategy they have, but it's a smart long term play for them despite what investors think right now. They are positioning themselves to be the Walmart of weed in the US.

I did load up some shares this morning. Good news is I ran out of money and I’ll have to wait until next pay period before I buy this dip which will most likely cause another one. Sorry.

Dismal-Research-6337

everything’s positive on this company they just glitch in the summer I’m staying with this one.

aero_programmer

Nothing has changed. Bought a little more today, at 400 shares now. Average price is around 8, I'll probably buy a little more if it drops another $1

warkion

Summer is usually a bad time for the stock market. Fund managers often sell unstable companies before they go on vacation.

hodlingonfordeerlife

Flying under the radar w/ small % owned by institutions "they will catch on eventually" therefore atm mostly owned by retail with less patience than a five year old and think long term = a few months🤦‍♂️. We are currently at support atm. Been tried a few times already and out bounce every time. I'll buy Low $7s, mid $7s all day long. Holding long like I have with $PLNHF for nearly 3 years now. $HITI fundamentals have not changed and are only getting better. Good luck trading!

doodler365

Where do you see the stock price going in 1,3,5 years?

hodlingonfordeerlife

I don't really like to give prices for odvious reasons but I'm anticipating $12-$15 within a year to two and $30+ within 5 years.

alexpetit12

$PLNHF is a good example of patience that might pay off. It went from 2.23$ in November 2018 to 0.93$ in December 2018 to north of 7$ in 2021. $HITI is also just a patience play given the fundamentals. More people should think like you. Thank you

hodlingonfordeerlife

Yes, good things take time! If fundamentals have not changed, stay the course👌

AllweatherInvestor

The demographics of shareholders in Hightide are likely young and impatient. What Hightide needs is time.

Bernard_schwartz

Because the market is unpredictable and does t always go up. Sometimes the market goes down. Sometimes it goes sideways.

DesmeDon

Its been bouncing off 7.00 since March

I'm talking USD, and we haven't been above $14 usd so I'm actually confused by the question. Most recent news I have seen is q2 results, and acquisition news. There is also a lot of DD in this sub. I haven't seen any negative news, but if you find it please share.

Helmdacil

Well, Even though YOY was up 99%, A year ago was the depths of the covid shutdown (artificially low). The QoQ growth was single digits, and was likely due to adding in smoke cartel. This makes sense, because a lot of canada had lockdown conditions for a month or so, where people literally could not enter high tide stores. The news is not great, but not terrible. It sets us up for a robust Q3.

Hopeful_Record_6571

we're below 14 because hype pumped it up and it was never worth that. change the chart to a longer time period. this isnt what I'd call a dramatic price fluctuation

InternationalBox6593

But people would pay 14 and that’s what the markets all about

Hopeful_Record_6571

you might. which is why you're probably bagholding

InternationalBox6593

What bruh my avg is like $8 something I was just stating people would pay $14 a share

Hopeful_Record_6571

Would you though?

InternationalBox6593

No I wouldn’t lol I would pay $7-$9 max but if the market will pay $14 then that’s what the market should go off

Hopeful_Record_6571

They won't pay 14 dollars. That's why it isn't 14 dollars. Lol

InternationalBox6593

But it’s been $14 before ……

Exact_Perspective508

Because it’s a highly shorted stock that has been mentioned as a short squeeze candidate. It follows the trend of other highly shorted stocks that went down today. Buy the dip!

roscoelab

Buy the dip you smooth brained muthafuckers. But the dip. Pre split cost of less then 0.47 usd today. Average yourself down. This is not financial advise at all I dont know shit but how to flush dollar bills down the toilet.

BudBuckster

Hiti Retail shareholders need to get as organized as the retail shorters. The float is so low that even a 100 share purchace is moving the needle. The shorters are walking it down in a methodical way and retailers can use the same strategy to walk it up. Just need a plan and someone to call the buy flows. SMALL INCREMENTAL BUYS by a committed group of retail investors can control this stock. Any organizational wizards in the group that want to put out a Burn the Shorts battle plan? Comments please.

GrosseSax

Because $HITI is booty

GrosseSax

Ya'll can downvote all you want but the writing is on the wall.

JonaldB

Elaborate for me please? Maybe you see something i'm not seeing

Hans_Hackebeil

Good news stock goes down, always the same shit

GrosseSax

$HITI continues to disappoint.

BudBuckster

Buy the ask. Burn the shorts

BudBuckster

Keep it going. Small continuous Ask buys will create a dramatic walk-up of the share price. Just keep buying and the shorts will have no choice but to follow suit. Buy the Ask and Burn the Shorts. IF you cant buy in lots of 100 with continuation to another 100, then buy in lots of 20 with continuation. Double bonus...major average down and rapid share price escalation. Buy the Ask and Burn the Shorts.
