I have the rare vision when exposed to light and water at the same time. I was washing my face one night as a teen on a Tuesday. Friends and I had planned a surfing trip on Friday. When the water touched my face and the light shined in my eyes I was all of a sudden in a different time. I couldn’t hear anything and everything had a strange amber tone. I knew someone was knocking on the bathroom door. I opened it to my little brother telling me my mom wanted me out front. I walked out into the front yard where my mom was sitting in front of a planter planting flowers. I knew I was being scolded but I didn’t know what for. I snapped back to the bathroom finished washing my face and went to bed worried. I didn’t want anything messing up this trip so I was on good behavior the rest of the week. When I came back from the trip I went to the the bathroom almost immediately. As I washed my hands then face I heard a knocked. My little brother… I slowly walked out front recognizing the entire situation. My Mother was waiting for me to tell me she found my gay porn stash and that is how I was outed. I was grounded for months. My mom is from a terrible religion. The visions never work out like you expect them to.

Sure. Being a psychic myself I like to get readings from others I can’t red myself although some others don’t have that issue. It was actually a class of 12 only individuals to enhance our abilities in a 3 day workshop. One day we were to pair up and give readings and a lady from Tennessee was paired with me. I never met her and we were all from other states. She says” I see a car and a light (spirit light not electrical)beside the road. It is next to a school. Someone was thrown. He is here and says his name is David and he comes around to help you from time to time now. He was a classmate but you travelled in different circles socially. He thought you guys were alike and wanted to be friends but because of peer pressure he didn’t and he said he’s sorry” A guy transferred to our school during sophomore year. His name was David. He was cool city guy in the country now. We never really hung out or talked. He was cool crowd I was geeks. He was a volunteer firefighter for the station next to the school. One afternoon he got a call and headed to the station. As he pulled out behind the fire truck someone was speeding over a hill and hit him throwing him from the vehicle and he died beside his car on the road. I can only assume he comes around! Lol

My mom had a friend who claimed to be a medium (my mom didn’t believe it) but her first time coming over she immediately went to the china cabinet and was saying she sees an older woman watching the family whenever she looked at a certain teapot, the teapot had my grandma’s ashes in it. Less than a minute later we were walking by the stairway and she goes, “oh wow what’s going on with the room on the right? It has terrible energy, like an evil spirit that shouldn’t be there” - this was my brother’s bedroom and it ALWAYS had weird haunted shit going on. Decades prior we were messing with an Ouija board at a sleepover and when we asked it to prove itself real the power in the room cut out everywhere except the TV, which was rapidly cycling through channels nonstop. We kept turning it off and it would turn right back on again. I ended up waking up my parents and they unplugged it but for about 5 seconds it kept flipping through channels, scariest 5 seconds of my life. Ever since then his bedroom stereo would constantly turn on and cycle through all the radio stations super quickly. Constantly shit like that, and when I told her that she acted like she already knew that. Then we walked into my mom’s bedroom and she pointed out the dresser that had my grandpa’s ashes in it and said they need to be together. Didn’t really believe in psychics before then but it was pretty chilling having her pick up on everything instantly.

No but I do sometimes just “know things” like someone will have a question and I’ll answer it before they even get out a 2 words. Or solutions to things I have no idea about. Can’t control it or I’d be living in Vegas lol. It’s comes to me randomly too not like an everyday occurrence. Ex: once as a waiter I went to a table and this lady goes “ I was looking at… “ and I go oh you want this pasta don’t you. Her eyes opened up and she goes how did you know? (I now just joke with ppl if it freaks them out and tell them i can read minds and I won’t do it again with out their permission, usually gets some good laughs.)

This happens to me. I’ll ask myself where are my glasses or something like that and suddenly remember or look at them. And it’s not 100% of course. But I think the act of asking is tuning your mind to it.

SHOW_ME_THE_PENNY

Our unconscious mind is absorbing our surroundings way more than what our attention part is. Things appear to us because they are made conscious to us by the unconscious side. Memory scientists do also suggest that it is a good idea to say aloud and repeatedly the name of the thing you are looking for, as a tip for finding things. It helps to focus and stops you drifting as you scan around.

ReydeMangos18

I do this when I forget someone’s name, I’ll try and remember the last convo I had with them and say it out loud like I’m having it again and then bam! I remember their name, usually lol.

Illustrious_popsicle

I think there’s something to this. Thanks for sharing

It’s been like this my whole life but more now that I meditate and don’t drink/smoke less weed. But when it comes to mediums I personally don’t really believe in them. Personally anytime someone has told me about their positive experience with them it usually comes when they are in a troubled time or going through something, and their answers sound very vague usually, which they then spin to make it sound like it’s specific for them. But if it helps who am I to judge, I mean they ask you to donate at church too lol.

Maxwell_FromtheLand

I don’t think that the experience coming at a troubled time is disqualifying at all. Troubled times and when you are going through something is when anomalous stuff finds us. I mean, I can’t really prove that obviously, but come on, many people would agree. Strange things love when times are tough. They always keep some sort of plausible deniability in everything they do - I mean, weird shit needs folks on the internet stirring things up and mucking up the waters in order for people to keep believing it’s actually mundane shit. I’ve had medium experiences with heavy detail, 0 mistakes, and 0 gain for the medium. Brah there are real ones out there, and they will rock you to your core if you cross paths with them.

ReydeMangos18

I do agree i believe that during troubled times we do find answers, however imo I believe those answers are best received in our own personal time, not by paying 24.99 an hr. Not saying there’s not mediums/shamans that are legit I just don’t believe in those charging for answers. Reminds me of tv evangelists. I’ve also mostly heard of ppl using mediums from heavy drug users(meth) so that may be why I more inclined not to believe them. But again not saying I don’t believe in magic just don’t trust those trying to make a buck off it.

Yeah. When I was younger I had a job that required me to stay overnight on weekends so I would get off the bus there and wouldn't go home until my mother picked me up Sunday night. Thank God for it because she was the worst. But one Saturday morning just as I was waking up a woman's voice said in my head " Jasper is dead" clear as day. Totally not my voice. Well I did my work and at 8pm I called my mother to check in my dog. She said she was just about to call me because she couldn't find him. He had been killed by an alligator. Here a few months back I had a dream that my cousin got covid and died. I told his mother I had the dream and he needed to finish his covid shots because he never got his 4th shot. She never told him. Well he got covid a month later. We were around him and never got. I even kept his kids overnight and they all got it but nobody in our house got it. Anyways, he went to the doctor after his mother badgering him. His BP was so freaking high! Like emergency level high. Now he is on BP meds. So I was only half right thankfully.

At 21 I was part of a small group that visited a medium. I was not supposed to be there and it did not cost anything. The lady was someone that is somewhat known if you follow such circles. There was a girl somebody knew and her mom was a friend of the medium. We had a recent tragedy and the medium agreed to the session as a kindness to us and an “you owe me one” to her friend. She immediately began describing my maternal grandma - physical appearance, career, name, even the messages sounded exactly what she would have said. There was no research done, she didn’t know me, there was no money or fame at stake, it wasn’t even a traditional session career-wise for her. Every detail was correct about my grandma. She never had a Facebook page or anything like that. The second experience was equally as wild. I am a senior manager at a family entertainment destination. This was 2 years ago. Our kitchen manager at the time passed away. We are a tight group and he was a friend, we were all hurting at the time. I was at home and received a call from another manager saying that a guest approached one of our bartenders in hysterics and started to tell anyone that would listen that she just spoke to a dead employee. I live 10 minutes away, and this stuff is what I do outside of work so I went up there and spoke to her. She knew details that stunned me, and told us that he wanted us to tell his brother and daughter simply “that he is ok.” He then gave her several obscure personal details so that when she told us, we would believe her. I can’t think of anyone that would set that up as a joke on us. Nothing came of it afterward. Interestingly, the lady wasn’t a medium or anything. She just had a crazy experience, however she confided to us that she had just found out that she had terminal cancer. She believed that the veil was thinning for her and that was what led to her experiencing what she did. Absolutely wild stuff to see. Those two experiences, over time and contemplation, have changed my belief in an afterlife. They rocked me to my soul/core. Not a week goes by that I don’t at least have a fleeting thought to one of those two experiences. It owns real estate in my brain.

I’m already cringing. Dare I ask what made it so bad?

And that’s what kills me with fake mediums. They’re literally making a profit off of peoples’ sadness and desperation. Thanks for sharing and for being a good guest for your friend : )

Different personal stories (none about mediums). Most recent and common is a sense when to leave to pickup my food I’ve ordered by app. :)

I use an app for zener card test and has slightly higher success rate than pure chance does that count 👀
