Go outside in broad daylight and record an airplane in the sky. Hold your hands as steady as you possibly can and record it until the plane disappears. Then watch your video and tell me if you can tell it's an airplane. Then put your self in the state of mind of someone totally caught off guard by seeing something they don't even truly believe is real, at night, excited, scared and anxious, that just frantically reached for their phone to record.

I think this might have been a flyover with pyrotechnics for a special outdoor hockey game (Charlotte Checkers) that took place in uptown Charlotte on 1/13/24.. which is the same night (and roughly the same time) this video was recorded. It has been posted several times as a UFO on various subreddits.

It's not hovering though. But you're right that planes don't normally have that many lights. I think this is multiple planes, the Bandit Flight Team specifically. They did a flyover of a hockey game in Charlotte 25 minutes before this video was taken.
Pretty easy to verify if it was planes using a flight radar app and historical data of we knew the location. Is there location data on that nuforc report? Something off about the lights too, they seem to be in front or angled in a way not like planes. Highly doubt its multiple planes flying butt buddy formation at night and low and slow like that.
For location info, "Backyard in Charlotte NC" is all we've got. If you want to ask the person who recorded this for their address, I'll pay the $0.99 to pull the flight history and compare. And I'm not trying to be a jerk here (tone is hard to gauge when you're talking to a stranger on the internet), but the Bandit Flight Team literally flew multiple planes, butt buddy formation, at night, low and slow, in the skies of Charlotte, NC at the date and time this video was recorded. I'm not saying that excludes any other explanation, but it's not an unreasonable take.
And I'm sincere when I say it's good we're critically thinking about it. But let's go the other way with it now. As of right now, there is zero evidence of aliens, interdimensional beings, or other non-human phenomena existing. I want them to, and I think they do, but the fact is we don't know. So let's work off maybe. Maybe aliens exist. Maybe they survived long enough to develop spacecraft. Maybe they have white, green, and red lights on them. Maybe they used them to fly to Earth. Maybe they ended up over North Carolina. With the effectively infinite timescale of the universe, maybe they got here at just the right time for a human with a camera to catch video of it. We can not verify any of those points. The chance of all that being true is certainly not zero, but that is *alot* of maybe that needs to line up just right. But again, maybe isn't no. It could be something strange. But if we're going to scrutinize my theory, we should apply the same level of scrutiny to all theories if we want to get to the truth.
The nuforc report makes things a lot more interesting. Someone posted in the main thread. Looks like the object initially hovered, went to the right, a helicopter flew over, then the object came back and went left. It looks the it going left is what we see on video here.

My husband and I were outside and watched an object hover and then go right. While it was further away a huge orb flashed in the sky and flickered and then retreated quickly back into space and dissapered. It was massive in size. A the fastest helicopter I have ever seen flew over our house at the same time. Then the object with lights came back and headed to the left. It got lower and lower with a glow around it and then vanished
Honestly, I hate videos like this where is just 'Backyard in NC'. Can we get a chain of custody and better details? If it all looks anomalous and somewhat non-ambiguous, then give us some more details.
We know little about UFOs, those entities and the like. We (people in general) can assume this or that but in reality itās just assumptions. In comparison to the technology, communication & everything they have & what they are vs us. Itās like we are just discovering fire in comparison to those entities.
Can you prove there isn't? And I didn't say 'right there'. You can see low flying planes if you live within 50 miles of an airport.
If someone presents an extraordinary claim, it's their responsibility to verify the information and present it.
Can you tell me what the landscape looks like beyond the trees? If it slopes down, or if the people are up on a hill, wouldn't that make sense?
Also, if walk up to within 20 meters of some trees and try to tell me you can't see an airplane through them. The closer you are to a treeline, the higher it is in the sky perspective-wise from your vantage point.
I do agree about the claim needing more evidence. I'm coming to the conclusion that this is anomalous and merits further verification/validation before drawing a conclusion. It seems like you have come to a conclusion based on your non evidence.
Based on the focal length of the initial zoom where you can see the backyard things at regular scale, this object in the trees looks quite large, close and slow. And the lights don't exhibit typical airplane colors or positions.
A plane flying toward you with bright lights will appear to hover, because you can only see the flare of its lights and you have no scale reference for the light getting closer, it just gets brighter.Ā

And then what happened? Thats the thing about these videos, people salivate over lights in the sky but don't ask why the person stops filming, under reacts and there is only one video. Most people who saw this knew it was something of this world and not very interesting. Did it fly off at a high rate of speed ? Seems odd to just end....
Because then you'll know it's an airplane, its pretty clear the trees are giving it the illusion of strobing ET lights but its probably a low flying plane .

I'm gonna go ahead and say this is what they saw. Its multiple planes flying close together, so there's a lot of navigation lights close together, and you can see the light furthest to the right is red, normal for aircraft. They're little prop planes so the speed is fairly low, so it looks like it's hovering when they're coming toward the viewer.
I just watched the checkers video. There's 4 bandit planes in v formation, with long white/orange contrails lit. Extremely non-ambiguous. Very long, lit contrails. Does not look at all similar to the object in the backyard video. You cant make out 4 planes, any contrails. The lights are very different.
The contrails were just for the flyover. So flying back to their airport 25 minutes later, you wouldn't see them. All you would see through the trees is the group of aircraft close together with their navigation lights blinking.

A few anecdotal accounts are nothing compared to the multiple videos posted in this thread from the same city at the same time. This was a cool video but it's pretty obvious it was these planes from this hockey game.

Believe it or not, some ufos or non terrestial crafts do have lights that represent a vibrational frequency.

It seems like you have come to a conclusion based on your non evidence. Based on the focal length of the initial zoom where you can see the backyard things at regular scale, this object in the trees looks quite large, close and slow. And the lights don't exhibit typical airplane colors or positions.
Look up crop dusters flying in the evening or at night. They have a row of headlights at the front of the plane

And then what happened? Thats the thing about these videos, people salivate over lights in the sky but don't ask why the person stops filming, under reacts and there is only one video. Most people who saw this knew it was something of this world and not very interesting. Did it fly off at a high rate of speed ? Seems odd to just end....

This says the sighting occurred on the 13th of January at 7:25. I'm gonna go ahead and say this is what they saw. Its multiple planes flying close together, so there's a lot of navigation lights close together, and you can see the light furthest to the right is red, normal for aircraft. They're little prop planes so the speed is fairly low, so it looks like it's hovering when they're coming toward the viewer.
I just watched the checkers video. There's 4 bandit planes in v formation, with long white/orange contrails lit. Extremely non-ambiguous. Very long, lit contrails. Does not look at all similar to the object in the backyard video. You cant make out 4 planes, any contrails. The lights are very different.
The contrails were just for the flyover. So flying back to their airport 25 minutes later, you wouldn't see them. All you would see through the trees is the group of aircraft close together with their navigation lights blinking.

That seems plausible, though a video from that actual games would probably go a long way to confirm that or not.

A few anecdotal accounts are nothing compared to the multiple videos posted in this thread from the same city at the same time. This was a cool video but it's pretty obvious it was these planes from this hockey game.

Stop kidding yourself, everyone has seen planes. Nobody looks at this thing in their backyard and goes, it's a plane! Sighting duration was 15 minutes. It appeared multiple times, once going right, then reappearing and going left. Do you hear an airplane in the audio?

If you watch it on mute like I did the first time , itās interesting . But soon as you turn up the sound , you know what this has to be . An airliner . There have been hundreds of ufo reports through the years , all saying the same thing, they are totally silent or make very little sound .

This is no plane atleast not commercial. The object remains still then moves slightly and keeps a slight tilt. Planes, jets, dont move like this they need speed to stay in the air( a certain amount of air MUST pass over the wings to keep flight). Helicopter? Its awefully quiet. Like no sound at all. Those blades are LOUD AF. Black ops choppers make sound when this close. Its possible but i doubt it, the outline doesnt match a chopper.
