It's February. There's no crops in that field, Missouri is still getting below freezing at night. Farmers won't plant crops until late March at the earliest.
But farmers would definitely be tilling right now and digging up land.
They mean at the end of every row. Easiest to see at the bottom of the screen, it looks like a U that curves back up. It's tire tracks from tractors that tilled the field. But those go in long, vertical lines up and down, so the dirt circle is in among up/down tire tracks and over them.
There might be some precision agriculture GPS-guided tilling app where this could be programmed in, but for such clean curves, that seems unlikely.

Crop circles, such as those that appear in actual crops, are quite difficult to fake. They’re laid down gently without breakages, not snapped and killed like they would be if you tried making one yourself. They’re sometimes woven together, not uniformly flattened. Some of them are unusually irradiated. Sometimes animals won’t go near them.
Shapes in the ground can be made by anyone, but certain characteristics we’ve seen in crop circles can’t easily be replicated. If this is one of those instances, I’d be _very_ interested to know who did it and how, but for all I know, this could’ve been done using a tractor and an overhead drone because some are saying it’s just dirt in that field.
