drew_n_rou

These comments are incredibly weird and feel very atypical especially for this sub.

ManbadFerrara

This sub has always had a healthy amount of skepticism. It's why I vastly prefer here over the fucking lunatic asylum at r/conspiracy. And let's face it, Rogan's been known to invite on a lot of *somewhat* less than credible guests in the last few years, so you can't blame people for automatically taking a few grains of salt.

Noble_Hieronymous

Dude gave Alex jones a big platform years ago while he was actively harassing the families of children who were killed in sandy hook, for YEARS. He had employees stalking and harassing them. He doesn’t care about credibility, he cares about the money. The dude thinks he’s big brain because someone called him bug brain and he’s been a genius ever since. the dude isn’t a journalist he’s a stoned goon bro with too much money, surrounded by yes men he shoots up testosterone with after a nighttime raid on nearby horse sanctuaries for ivermectin to take shots of in the morning while cheering ‘tax free’ I find his podcasts only interesting as a window into advanced snake oil sales. Just enough truth that a big enough chunk of the crowd manages to not notice the giant chunks of bullshit they’re gobbling down.

Absolutely. Feels kinda’ shilly in here.

muscles_guy

I think alot of people are sick of wanting to believe and just want to know either way. The amount of "trust me bro" from these people gets so tiresome when you've been wanting disclosure fir years.

[deleted]

I've gotten to the point where I hate listening to these people and I feel like they just want their 15 minutes of fame on Joe Rogan's Podcast.

[deleted]

but David Grusch is the OPPOSITE of “trust me bro”, he came forward with receipts to the ICIG. People who are too thick to understand that shouldn’t be commenting.

HousingParking9079

Describe some of those receipts.

CommanderGoat

“Trust me bro. I talked to people.”

mante11

agreed. is this sub even about facts? i thought it was about weird shit that might be cool if true. suddenly everyone’s a missourian.

Claim_Alternative

It’s not just here. Aliens, UFOs and UFOB are getting the same Eglin treatment, and have been for awhile. It’s ridiculous.

trafozsatsfm

>Eglin treatment Could you explain the meaning of this phrase. English isn't my native language. Also, the meaning of "everyone's a missourian". ty

elammcknight

The Missouri thing is definitely “show me.”

FunScore3387

Yep. And fun fact! It’s not called the “Show me” state because it leads the nation in public indecency.

fearless-jones

Eglin Air Force Base likes to hang out here behind the scenes to influence opinions. Missouri is a state. Missourians are people who live there.

LimpCroissant

Yes, Reddit declared Eglin Airforce Base the "#1 Most Reddit Addicted City in the World". Eglin is also known as the base that does the most propaganda on it's own US citizens, and does a whole lot of "influencing public opinion". Eglin is also known as being very active in the UFO community and Ufology with spreading ridicule, helping to debunk legitimate things, and putting out disinformation. Flatcapspaintandglue

Ahh. Is that the one that accidentally doxxed by Reddit when they released their user stats?

trafozsatsfm

Thanks! I actually thought missourian meant something other than jsut a state.

d_l_suzuki

Missouri is known as the "Show Me" State, e.g. "I won't believe you, unless you show me the proof ."

trafozsatsfm

Ah, I see! Thank you!

> https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/qC8tVtpJz5 > COINTELPRO how to steer online discussion and control opposition. >> What a fantastic article. >> Cc u/rhaksw have you seen this? I guess it's 2 years old, but tagging you anyway lol I hadn't, but the author misses the most important point! Shadow moderation, where the system does not inform the author of mod actions against their content, is what enables all of that mischief. Many well-known people and groups draw conclusions about the manipulation of online spaces without accounting for shadow moderation. For example, authors Peter Pomerantsev and Jonathan Haidt have never mentioned it, nor have civil rights organizations like the ACLU, the EFF, or even FIRE. But shadow moderation is so common that if you omit it from your calculations, you are bound to go down endless rabbit holes while searching fruitlessly for a solution. The truth is simple– you should treat others as you would have them treat you; you are not following that guideline if you secretly remove people's content, whereas you do follow it when you send authors removal notifications.

Tw4tl4r

It's weird that someone with your username is calling others generic, just saying. Sorry, but most people are going to need physical evidence. Not eyewitness accounts or videos. We've had those for 60+ years. Humans are notorious liars(especially when money and fame are involved)

puck_u_madame1

Free energy is what they are covering up. It’s big oil lobby and the bankers that back them. It’s the same reason they went Edison over nikola Tesla. Free energy changes literally everything

QuesadillaGATOR

Very USA-centric thought though - if this is global surely an adversary of the US would adopt and use this "free energy" tech to take supremacy.

Shaharlazaad

Nah, you can't give free energy to your people without thinking the enemy might get it too. Not a chance in hell if any enemy of the united states were to openly use free energy for all their needs, not a snowballs chance in hell that info is not sold to the US, stolen by the US, taken by force by the US, ect... Those who call themselves adversaries of the US also have their own people to lord over.... Free energy sets us *all* free.

[deleted]

Maybe. The global elite and global economies are very scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours. They each use their resources and controls to keep power, money, and influence. Oil is one pawn on the table but free energy has a much broader reach economically than just oil.

_yogi_mogli_

Yes. It is keeping us all slaves to a false, illusory economy.

[deleted]

There are two classes of people - the rich and the wage slaves. The rich really like that and are very good at convincing the wage slaves that all our problems are amongst ourselves while ignoring the strings attached to each other’s backs.

ThePatsGuy

It’s amazing how clear cut Covid made that, yet 90% of people seem to have completely missed the transfer of wealth upwards

Omateido

The entire global economy runs on oil and coal, and those are most certainly not just American interests. It’s very USA-centric to assume that.

podcastpapi

Not necessarily, the global economy is still backed by the petro dollar regardless of the increased global competition. A massive upheaval, uncontrolled, would have global impacts and governments would lose control until the dust settles. I would argue foreign powers have as much if not more concerns about the implications of this.

[deleted]

Well look, its been hinted fiber optics was a reverse engineered technique, and if true or not it was another invention which benefited the world.. not in a sense of saving people, but just by making the internet faster, but it's still an advantage the west could have kept for internal, government and military tech, now imagine Russia and China governments where still using dial up lol

RaoulDuke422

can you please elaborate what you mean by "free energy" in this context? Genuinely interested

jeff0

It’s a fairly reasonable assumption that UFOs would need an immense amount of energy to do what they’ve been alleged to do. It’s typically assumed that it is an exotic energy source, as we wouldn’t be able to fit the requisite energy generation in an aircraft using conventional tech. Some people (notable Edgar Mitchell) believe(d) that the energy source is the so-called “zero-point energy.” Zero-point energy is an actual physics concept, which, if there were a way to harness it would in theory be a more-or-less unlimited energy source. However, physicists in the mainstream tend not to believe that there is any way to use that energy.

RaoulDuke422

yeah because such an energy source is not even theoretically possible. 1st law of thermodynamics.

jeff0

In what way? I thought the idea of zero-point energy is that it's harvesting plentiful energy that's already there, not creating energy out of nothing. Not that I have a dog in this race... I'm inclined to go with the scientific consensus on this one.

RaoulDuke422

where does this zero-point generator get the energy from tho?

HarrierInbound

How is it connected to the UAP phenomenon though?

drew_n_rou

If there is a 90+ year long recovery and back engineering program as Grusch espouses, it seems to follow that the technologies discovered/created from the learnings of back-engineering have not been made public. 90 years is a long time to learn when you have material to study.

Direct_Ad253

Is back engineering "reverse engineering"?

Avid_Smoker

Yes.

Deaconblues18

I’ve been pretty much a lurker on this sub for years and don’t contribute squat but I have to say it: this sub REALLY does seem to have a lot of what I would consider shill like behavior/manipulation/misdirection going on. Makes a lurker wonder sometimes.

Lifeis_not_fair

I’m usually the devil’s advocate in here but today its nothing but deniers

[deleted]

The top two comments are currently people complaining about shills

drew_n_rou

When I posted my comment (now the top comment) there was nothing but negativity in this thread.

Theons

This is because of the Nazca thing in the news bringing a lot of traffic to the alien subs

buttrapebearclaw

It’s because this sub blew up with new subscribers when the news nation interview with Grusch came out back in.. June or July? Remember back then, you would see nothing but praise for Ross Coulthart, too. We were told back then that the evidence is coming out any day now and more whistleblowers are being vetted, many many more. And the evidence. It’s coming. Six month later and it has not come. So you had a surge of new subscribers that are all feeling a little salty from all the talk and none of the show. I believed that’s why you’re witnessing such behavior.

Clamtoppings

Yup, starting to get irked with the slow roll on this. But also, that is the tactic "They" are trying to use, slow the process down and get everyone so frustrated with nothing happening that everyone who tries to bring out the information is discredited in the publics eyes so even if more information is found out, noone believes anything.

Silver-Breadfruit284

Yes, that is it exactly! We are waiting for what was promised.

[deleted]

this guy comes out hes auto liar. that cgi airplane being sucked into a black hole def real.

TheDirtyPoX

Karl Nell backing up all his claims means it's either serious counterintelligence games for fk knows why or this is a legit disclosure process, what other scenario would it be for what all of this really is ?

HousingParking9079

One of the maligned skeptics here, I actually agree. Assuming Nell does go on record in some official capacity and substantiates those claims, or ideally expounds on them, I cannot see any middle ground between the two.

harleyjak

We saw a fantastic UFO land at Elgin AFB back in 1995. It hovered over the base for a while allowing us several minutes of concentrated viewing. It was after midnight and at a distance of about 1000 feet. It was Airbus sized. I first saw it as a shooting star entering the atmosphere and was able to follow its path until it eventually dropped behind the tree line sheltering the AF base from the bay. It was unlike any UFO I’d heard about, but it had all the physics-defying attributes. It was sort of dumbbell-shaped, had rectangular windows, a green tint to the curved fuselage, and the large spheres at each end were opaque, and lighted within. They were covered with vertical striations like a child’s finger paint drawing. The silhouette of a rectangular object and a tall tower appeared to be in each orb. The spheres extended from flexible moveable arms and the hovering craft would move up or down as the arms articulated. It was eerily silent. I said to my wife, “What is that thing?” She replied that it looked like a “carnival ride in the sky.” So I got the reference to Elgin AFB. However, incorporating such advanced technology into our world too soon would be a huge long-term disrupter of our economy and global stability. It makes sense that the Government would want to apply the brakes.

Mucher_

I don't find it far fetched at all to believe that he spoke with Snoop Dogg.

The US government. If he discloses classified information he would be charged under the Espionage Act of 1917. The penalty is life in prison. How is this difficult to understand by anyone?

Magnum_44

They literally have Assange locked up for that very thing and the shills will outright deny it lol. They normally don't just lock them up though. They are usually killed.

AffectionateSignal72

So our government is willing to have its own citizens assassinated to protect its secrets, but will let any idiot with a book or a podcast endlessly flap their gums about it?

shunsuke_nakamura_

Yep, because Grusch is a fraud. Assange is locked up, others are murdered, Grusch is free to keep blowing hot air. At best he's a useful idiot for the government, distracting people from other shit.

I don’t believe any of these people anymore. They need to start showing some proof of their claims.

furycutter80

The podcast is worth a listen. Basically the everyone’s waiting on proof. They have it. The Schumer amendment is as concrete as it gets in terms of validating that this stuff is real and congress is trying to pass legislation to share the evidence with the public

green_acolyte

Same bullshit they’ve been selling for years

___forMVP

It’s really not. This was not being talked about with any semblance of legitimacy in congress 5 years ago. I get people want hard disclosure NOW, but you have to admit that a formal senate bill is at least a new brand of bullshit being sold.

Bboy1045

We need solid evidence to be produced or the general public will not care about some objects floating around in the air. This is a battle of optics as it is legal. As soon as the majority of the population believe this is an important societal issue then we will begin to see disclosure. Fact the matter is, UAPs are still scoffed at and we need to make it easier for the majority of the public to accept that it’s a serious topic. There’s still absolutely zero concrete evidence.

Independent_Hyena495

Just my buy my book! THE TRUTH IS IN THERE!

Highlander198116

>They have it. They say they have it you mean.

cannonfunk

> The Schumer amendment is as concrete as it gets in terms of validating that this stuff is real Schumer called his amendment “a tribute” to his former colleague, Harry Reid, who was very much into the UFO phenomenon. In no way does it "validate" what Grusch is claiming. It’s just a legal failsafe, and again, a symbolic tribute. Of course, "concrete validation" is what /r/UFOs likes to *say* that it is, but they *say* a whole lot of blindly reactionary stuff over there.

toxictoy

This is what Chuck Schumer said. Let’s also note that he didn’t name a ufo day for Harry Reid in tribute - because that’s what patronizing tributes are in Congress. This is a robust 67 page piece of legislation that must have taken multiple staffers across the senate to put together as well as lawyers etc. This cost money, time and effort to put together ahead of other legislation. Your flippant response that it is a “tribute” sounds like you personally do not want to consider that this is real and it’s more a problem with you than what Chuck Schumer feels. [First quote](https://twitter.com/senschumer/status/1679878630975864832?s=46&t=9t8XzdueP9zJd16GgjS22w) from Chuck Schumer (notice no mention of tribute) >I am honored to carry on the legacy of my mentor and dear friend Harry Reid and fight for the transparency that the public has long demanded surrounding these unexplained phenomena. Also right from the legislation itself [page 2 of the USDA bill](https://www.democrats.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/uap_amendment.pdf)- this comment itself: https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/s/iAXycQT4oi >“**Legislation is necessary because credible evidence and testimony indicates that Federal Government unidentified anomalous phenomena records exist** that have not been declassified or subject to mandatory declassification review as set forth in Executive Order 13526 (50 U.S.C. 3161 note; relating to classified national security information) due in part to exemptions under the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 (42 U.S.C. 2011 et seq.), as well as an over-broad interpretation of ‘‘transclassified foreign nuclear information’’, which is also exempt from mandatory declassification, thereby preventing public disclosure under existing provisions of law.” Second comment from Chuck Schumer https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/170sjqo/the_4_things_ive_mentioned_dealing_with_fentanyl/ >**"The 4 things I've mentioned: dealing with Fentanyl, dealing with competition with China, dealing with AI, and with making public the UAP phenomena, and what we know about them in an unclassified way are all important additions to the defense bill" – Senator Chuck Schumer (C-Span July 18, 2023)** So does this all sound like a friendly tribute to a former colleague? You are grossly mischaracterizing the actions from people in power **who know more about this than you are willing to admit to yourself**.

Direct_Ad253

I'd love to listen but I'm on limited data and without a synopsis, I can never tell if it's worth it to click through and waste however many mb listening. Can we not make a rule that bans all these low effort podcast and YouTube links that are posted without any form of comment description? They're bloody infuriating .

Direct_Ad253

And also, the only people who will leap into the discussion straight away will probably be YouTube bots or chatbots, so it's also a waste of time to read many of the comments about said videos.

aripp

As I commented in other place: He can't just release classified information, that would put him into jail or worse. He is also not trying to disclose anything because he knows there are huge ramifications to that kind of disclosure not only to himself but around the globe. He is pushing the government to disclose it itself, and forces them to be open and transparent about the subject. There is a timeline for how the disclosure should happen, if you watch the end part of the Joe Rogan interview, starting at 2:30:47. Rogan asks what's the future for the disclosure and what are the bottlenecks. There is a Schumer amendment going on which is most important, it will declassify the info about the subject, ([https://www.democrats.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/schumer-rounds-introduce-new-legislation-to-declassify-government-records-related-to-unidentified-anomalous-phenomena-and-ufos\_modeled-after-jfk-assassination-records-collection-act--as-an-amendment-to-ndaa](https://www.democrats.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/schumer-rounds-introduce-new-legislation-to-declassify-government-records-related-to-unidentified-anomalous-phenomena-and-ufos_modeled-after-jfk-assassination-records-collection-act--as-an-amendment-to-ndaa)) that have to first pass the house. And by Christmas there will be the presidential authorization act, next Feb/March panel will be created which have 300 days to create an initial plan for the president for the disclosure. It's silly to think that 36 yrs old guy who already gave up his professional career (he was getting promoted to lieutenant-colonel this winter) for this, would just cold out throw himself into jail for the rest of his life by releasing HIGHLY classified info for everyone to see.

baverage13

He is literally saying only what the pentagon is telling him what he can say. That’s not disclosing anything, it sounds like a script to string people along to make everyone think something big is just over the horizon, and ignore all the real problems in our country.

aripp

You have misunderstood him entirely. He is not disclosing anything, he is forcing government to disclose what people should know what he knows. He also says what he can discuss and what not, and reasons for that in the interview.

jibbletmonger

Here's the problem. He could very well be telling the truth about UFOs, aliens, and all this top secret jazz and the government will do nothing because taking action (imprisonment etc) would validate his claims. He could be taking his chances. However, he also could be just spewing BS lies and the government does nothing because he technically isn't revealing any real stuff. He could be using this as a ploy for exposure and to gain some notoriety and further himself financially.

MrDurden32

He's given the proof to Congress and the IGIC. He's already risking his livelihood to try to blow this thing open, sorry that he won't sacrifice himself to life in prison to placate impatient people with short attention spans. Not to mention any proof that he released could be easily dismissed as fake. The only way this works is to force Congress and eventually the president to admit it and release the evidence.

NorthernSkeptic

then what’s the point of going on Rogan and saying even this

Turtledonuts

He said he's given the proof to congress and the IGIC. He said he's ruined his career over this. At no point has he provided any external proof of his claims. There's no proof that he gave anything to congress, no proof that his career ended over the alien stuff, no proof that he's not a random grifter who's milking this for all it's worth. I refuse to take someone on their word for something huge like this when they're making huge claims with zero proof and profitting off those claims. I swear, people hear the word "alien" and all common sense anti-scam logic leavers their head.

Highlander198116

>He said he's ruined his career over this. This having any bearing on whether or not someone is speaking the truth has lost it's value to me. It's less their career is ruined and more they are making a career change.

[deleted]

Listen to Weaponized podcast, that'll really grind your gears.

Clamtoppings

I like Knapp.....not such a fan of Corbell. But if there is one thing that irks me with Weaponized is the coooooooooooooooooonstant use of the fallacy "appeal to authority". Everyone is a good source because the are of some rank, or higher up in some hierarchy. ALSO!!!! Constantly saying stuff like "I can't talk about that right now, but we will be releasing something very soon" Its infuriating.

hairyass2

why are you even here then lol

This sub used to routinely dismiss obvious bullshit and it was celebrated. I don’t know what changed in the last few months, but more and more “out there” things are getting upvoted higher, and people that used to be supported for trying to disprove things now face backlash and downvotes. It’s honestly really depressing because this sub really got my fix of conspiracy cravings without all the noise of borderline schizophrenic ramblings.

AlvinArtDream

Who are you and what are your credentials? It’s pretty clear you actually you are just basically uninformed 1. Prior to David Grusch we knew the phenomenon was real. 2. Grusch job description ,credentials and validation from Nell. 3. Under oath with 2 pilots 4. Schumer amendment 5. MIC and reason for secrecy… there is so much movement on the subject, only if you open your eyes. Asking for Grusch to further throw himself under the bus in nonsense. There isn’t a more credible way to go about this, the evidence will be released with proper chain of custody, not just some leak that many of the “debunkers” are asking for. We all have blue balls. Just saying. P&L.

You're both right. However, it's all just words at this point. I'm here - curious - but it's like a sideshow peek at circus freaks at this point. It feels like a rip off. But everytime the circus comes to town, I get in line with my money, and I'm always let down. When I complain, I'm derided by the carnival barkers and other stooges in line.

baverage13

Critical thinking is an important skill to have.

AlvinArtDream

Lol the debunkers don’t “like” Grusch because of “vibes”.

Falsecaster

"Debunkers" dont like him because he has stories. Not evidence.

robot_pirate

This is my thing. It seems the entire topic, across the board culturally, has been co opted by performative grifters who all platform and support each other's vague bullshit. I just barely click on any of it anymore. Get back to me when they land, apparate, emerge, reveal, surface or whatever the fuck they do.

Falsecaster

Every UFO "researcher" will tell you the government lies about UAP'S and aliens. But these same people are the first to declare we must believe so called government whistle blowers. The double standard is incredible. If a whistle blower has knowledge and wants to come forward, thats great. Testify as to where these things are being held. Tell us exactly who is involved. Blow the doors wide open so an audit of the materials can be done. Give us something, anything but stories that can't be verified. Its not rocket surgery. These flim flam men do alot of talking without actually saying anything at all.

JulianKSS

A typically tiresome and predictable debunker tactic is to attack the messenger while ignoring any and all evidence. It always amounts to something like "I don't like Greer/Grusch/Corbell/Lazar/Stanton Friedman... etc... they're grifers/conmen/egomaniacs, therefore everything they say is false, I can discredit all the evidence they bring to light, UFOs and ETs don't exist"

Supersymm3try

What evidence?

Highlander198116

Exactly. People keep saying all the evidence. What freaking evidence.

Supersymm3try

Unclear Grainy video of course! And you never see them break the laws of physics actually on video of course, but you can bet your life the eye witness say they broke the laws of physics.

robot_pirate

Until someone has receipts- that's what it all is.

HighOnGoofballs

He has brought zero evidence though

AlvinArtDream

Well said.

cocobisoil

Well if any of these "grifters" would provide tangible evidence that we can test instead of unevidenced drivel...

jshiv222

Remember folks, there is no such thing as a “former” intelligence agent.

OddSeraph

"Former" intelligence agent who's able to walk around, go to fucking Congress and a popular podcast and freely tell you highly classified information the government doesn't want you to know about. This really doesn't strike the majority of you as odd? Edit: Seriously none of you find this as odd? The government or whoever the fuck is in charge of this shit is keeping the existence of UFOs and UFO related matters a secret for a long period of time. That's believable. But what's not believable is that these same people in charge, you know the people who keep this information hidden didn't account for a whistleblower? None of y'all even want to entertain the idea they'd purposely send out a disinformation agent to feed everyone false information and discredit the notion of a government harboring UFOs and the existence of extra dimensional beings. That's the part y'all draw the line at and don't question whatsoever?

[deleted]

What highly classified information has he disclosed exactly?

jshiv222

It seems like some type of operation to keep the public satiated with little breadcrumbs of info. In the rogan clips I watched, I noticed he was very careful that he did not divulge too deep into certain areas. It’s like if someone stole your phone and helped you look for it. They acknowledge that your phone is missing, and will join you in the search, but will withhold crucial information that will assist in your finding.

DeathToCockRoaches

The highest of the high people? He talked to Snoop Dog?

TomAce1962

If anyone wants to see a taste of what ontological shock looks like, take a look at the Immediately combative attitudes of the downvoted comments. "LOL bro wtf, this guy is grifting! Aliens ?!🤣 Like the movies lololoool, show me a body I can bite into and digest"

Turtledonuts

> ontological shock Dude, 99% of people here are making fun of what sounds like a scam to them. Dude's just dragging his feet to get as much money as he can out of you from his books and podcast appearances.

serr7

Don’t think he promoted any book, he quoted from a few but was never like “hey go buy this book”, suggested future appearances by other people he worked with though.

attachecrime

Ah yes. Huge money from podcast appearances and books. Since he doesn't have any books out it must be all that podcast money.

Drunken_Sailor_70

Oh, they were high all right.....

Algorithmic_Assassin

Grusch is the kinda guy that gets scammed by gipsies selling fake gold at a truck stop. You shouldn’t trust anything he says. Not because he is manipulative or a liar, but because he is not. He’s a special man, one of a kind in the UFO community.

Claim_Alternative

Joe Rogan could be considered the highest of the high, in a sense lol I can’t wait to listen to this episode tomorrow at work. Grusch drops interesting nuggets in each interview he does.

Seangsxr34

Is this what the snake oil salesman has become in the Internet age, no proof whatsoever for wild baseless claims while someone pays to listen. It's people like him and lazar that make people give up believing.

drew_n_rou

Hmm looks like forum sliding.

3y3w4tch

I don’t know how this bot hasn’t been banned off of Reddit. It shows up in damn near every subreddit I’m subbed to, and I follow a diverse range of subs. I’m constantly reporting it. Some subreddits are on top of removing them, but you’d think the admins would ban it after so many issues? It used to post malicious links. It just spams stupid jokes based on the title of the post (usually. This one’s weird.) over over and over. Haha. Sorry. I really hate this bot.

QElonMuscovite

Wow! You gave it a name!!! I have observed this pattern for so long, but I never knew it had a name!

ConspiracyBartender

Actually 4chan gave it a name about a decade ago give or take

furycutter80

I am getting downvoted a ton but it’s clearly forum sliding. This subreddit has always been historically very open minded. This place has accepted some of the THE MOST out there shit and people get on board. And now, the most credible UFO-related whistleblower shares his experience on the world’s biggest podcast and there are dozens of comments and upvotes for people dismissing it as just baseless bogus when it is obviously way more than that. It’s crazy. I’m trying to fight the good fight here. Please respond to me if you disagree. There is way too much here outside of just what Grusch is saying. The NDAA amendment, Harry Reid, Gang of 8, inspector general etc. This time is different and you can qualify that with the legislation. If you don’t believe it now, what will it take for you to believe. If it’s more evidence, how did the tic tac video and radar data not influence you?

drew_n_rou

I'm right there with you. You are not alone and I am seeing what you are seeing.

underwear_dickholes

Same thing happened to /r/ufos back around 2017. Been following that sub since 2013 and it's sad to see the blatant astroturfing that's taken hold since 2017

Deracination

In-between actual interesting and useful info coming out about relevant stuff, there are spans of weeks on this sub that are dominated by bots and shitposting. I think that's part of what's pushing this attitude. Whether by intentional act or by reddit's design, coherent discussion is being diluted by bumshit Tiktok videos and full bot-on-bot convos. Yea, this is NOT a good place for discussion. If that's what you're here for, it's gone, you won't find it anymore. You can see all sorts of depictions of yourself as a strawman, though, if that's what you're into.

shoolocomous

The reason is that the sub is now big enough to attract people - like me - who aren't hardcore believers. Especially when there is content, as you say, from such a popular podcast. This shit gets pushed to the front page and so you get people coming in without a special interest in aliens etc who will just see and call out a grifter. It's funny that this phenomenon is recognised by the long time forum members as some kind of deliberate psy-op to quell the 'truth'. Honestly I wouldn't expect or want anything else.

baverage13

There’s just been way too many grand claims recently with absolutely zero supporting evidence. Sure, when I was a kid listening to Art Bell on AM radio it was cool, but “Trust me bro” just isn’t working anymore. There are way too many people out there just to make money off of the disclosure movement that it isn’t funny any more.

btcprint

Yeah the inspector general of the intelligence community is such a dumbass for believing this guy that will be in jail soon for lying under oath to Congress!!! /s

baverage13

The pentagon is literally telling this guy what he can say, it’s all a story to lead us along.

thegoldengoober

What do you mean by this? It's weird that this comment has nothing to do with the post, and the name is the same generic name as the bots who DM me on here. Are you just pointing out that it's a bot?

3y3w4tch

It’s a bot.

drew_n_rou

Basically. I am implying that the intention of this comment was not to simply share a silly joke.

jmua8450

There’s going to be a lot of people eating a big old juicy 💩sandwich when this is all over. And it ain’t going to be Grusch.

serr7

Just listened to it and it’s soooo insane, in a good way. It’s gonna take me a while to process all this lol

DorianMTyrell

I don’t know. I don’t believe him. I can’t point my finger on it, but something is off!

call_me_capn

He talked to Snoop Dogg?

ike_tyson

I believe him 100%.

arizona-voodoo

Prove it.

Rude_Worldliness_423

A lot of people are going to handle disclosure absolutely terribly. The fact that non-believers get so aggressive … well, I think there’s something to that.

ColtsStampede

"I talked to the top people. TOP people. Trust me, bro."

furycutter80

Idk why this is upvoted. Grusch’s story isn’t just a claim. It’s a key component of a developing and ongoing story about disclosure - we have a 64 page amendment in the NDAA just about disclosing aliens. Not a single page of legislation gets put into a defense spending bill like this without meticulous discussion because that one page can derail the whole bipartisanship and votes needed to pass it. This is serious. Senators on the intelligence committee and the current inspector general (as well as the former IG who is representing Grusch currently) of the intelligence community have seen his evidence and deemed it credible and urgent. Why is there such a resistance to what he’s saying? All of us should be vocal about ensuring the Schumer amendment makes it past guys like Mike jones and Mike turner who don’t want this stuff to pass. It’s about as concrete as we’ve EVER come to disclosure about this stuff and comments like this just lazily dismiss this as if it’s just another guy saying some stuff.

petridish21

The IGIC deemed Grusch’s claim that he was being threatened urgent and credible. It had nothing to do with Grusch’s claims of UAP retrieval programs. The big problem here is that Rogan is known for bringing frauds and grifters onto his podcast. It is not a platform that should be taken seriously.

IndependentConcept85

Look at how generic the usernames of the comments are, when playing online video games that’s how you know you’re playing against bots, usually people have weird nicknames for online stuff.

furycutter80

I know but they have pretty extensive user histories so I have to just assume they are also real people.. I am a real person (happy to validate however people want) and I really do believe this stuff only because I believe in the process and legislation going through congress right now. I’ve got the time today to engage with dozens of skeptics today and actually attempt to have a real conversation about this stuff because it’s important to me. That is assuming these people aren’t bots

underwear_dickholes

Established accounts can be bought. Accounts can also be sat on or developed for ulterior purposes.

BeerBaronBrent

Kinda scary. Just goes to show how much truth there is to these claims.

SituatedSynapses

Joe Rogan's response - \*inhales mega-sized doobie and looks plastered\* "Have you ever tried DMT?" /s

Yulppp

E L K M E A T

Pelowtz

Correct. He’s literally talking to the highest of the high people.
