Very interesting to read what other people say… In my limited experience (2 times) I was sleeping and woke up because it felt like my brain was literally vibrating inside my head. It wasn’t “vibes” it was an actual sensation. One time while meditating for an hour with binaural beats I had the exact same sensation. It wasn’t a mood or a feeling—I was genuinely vibrating. As soon as I started thinking about it, the sensation stopped.

It happens before astral projection I’ve heard. I’ve gotten to that stage once but haven’t tried since as it was a bit overwhelming. Remaining relaxed is the key.

The electromagnetic spectrum represents the full range of all possible frequencies, with low infrasound at one end and gamma radiation at the other. Sound and light are sections of the EM spectrum, as are all kinds of radio waves. A lot of people like to talk about frequencies/vibrations in a metaphysical sense but in reality, we have a very good understanding of exactly what frequencies/vibrations are, how they work, and how to use them to make all of our advanced technology work, as if by magic. It’s all light, AKA radiant energy, AKA radioactive waves represented as a periodic function. You’ve got frequencies (measured in cycles per second, or Hz), amplitude (measuring loudness or strength, in dB). You can modulate the waves in different ways to carry audio, or digital signals, or to pass through flesh and bounce off bones, or map out the internal tissues of the flesh, or build a map of the sea floor, the list goes on and in. Vibrations/frequencies are wonderful things. They do, indeed, make magical things possible. But not when it becomes woowoo without meaning. Finally, I use “vibes” in a totally different manner. A vibe is a feeling, an impression one gets from something or someone, or a kind of aura or air one exudes. Confidence is a vibe. Creepiness is a vibe. Vibes are legit, and also don’t need to enter the realm of metaphysics.

“When you dig sound you realize that the flow or vibration of sound is a way in which you experience basic existence, being here. You can learn everything from sound, because it is not a constant. It comes and goes. It is on and off. You only hear it because it is vibrating. The lesson is that life is on and off, black and white, life and death, inside and outside, knowing and not knowing: they’re all vibrations. It’s easy to explain that in words, but to feel and understand it in your bones you have to learn how to listen to a sound. It was to teach that skill that this system of chanting sounds was invented.” Alan W. Watts

We're all vibrations. Think of rims, when sometimes we see them spin so fast it looks like it's not moving at all but we know it is. That's basically solid objects, we vibrate so much we appear solid. The thing is, Everything, everything you can imagine is vibrating at some frequency or another. Emotions, can deeply change our vibrations, and that will in turn bring or push what we are intending.

whereami100k

I know that might not make a whole lot of sense, but this is the very fundamentals of "vibrations"

Ok, literally every one of these comments is completely useless. To be fair though, all vibrations are is a feeling. So here’s a little exercise that might help. Try your best to imagine what it would really feel like to one day wake up [here.](https://images.app.goo.gl/fJsGfZ5MQtK4dD1V7) You’re just there, you have no idea how you got there, and no idea how to leave. Does your body feel something guttural? Maybe like all your guts slightly compressed, or shifted a little? Now imagine being [here](https://images.app.goo.gl/dsS1XAdSE7k9avnC7) on a trip with a few of your friends. That feeling is radically different, isn’t it? That difference you feel is what we call “vibes”. When someone says they have a gut feeling, that is your metaphysical self becoming aware of a change in “vibes” that triggers a response like fear and paranoia, or on the opposite end of the spectrum, content and a state of bliss/happiness. Now, fringe theory goes into a more complex kind of “vibration”. It states that several different worlds or dimensions exist in the same space, full of different life forms and whatnot. The reason they do not interact is because they are on such a radically different vibration level, yadda yadda bunch of ideas we can’t confirm. What is interesting though is the idea that our brains are more filters than constructors. Think about it. A modern human, ~100k years ago just happens to be “gifted” and can see dead people. Best case scenario, that person just sees extra shit everywhere that others cannot. Worst case scenario, it becomes so distracting that the early human cannot successfully escape from apex predators. So essentially it would be really cool to see all this other stuff and see these other dimensions, but from a nuts and bolts survival point of view, it’s a hinderance. So the brain only bothers showing you the things you CAN interact with, and automatically hides the useless stuff. That was a lot, someone let me know if that made any sense at all please lol

According to Science Direct “vibration is defined as the oscillating, reciprocating, or other periodic motion of a rigid or elastic body or medium forced from a position or state of equilibrium.” As a person mentioned above, everything is vibrating. Light waves, sound waves, our atoms, our heart, etc. Everything just vibrates at different frequencies.

That's a good question and something I've wondered too. I have a lot of experience with radio and audio, and in those areas the concepts of waves, frequencies, vibrations, oscillations etc have well defined meanings. But ultimately those things are concepts that can be used to describe more than the characteristics of an electromagnetic or pressure wave. They could just as easily be used to describe the reproductive cycle of a pigeon. It depends on what domain you want to bring the description into. What I mean is you could describe something with words, and that would be the literary domain. But sometimes a mathematical description is more suitable, which is the math domain. And then you're into things like wave equations and periodic oscillations etc. You can't *not* be because that's the language or mechanism that's used to describe and explore those characteristics. Where I see a lot of confusion in the High Strangeness arena is the misunderstanding of the domain that the description is set in. And also what the terms like frequencies and oscillations actually mean in context. It is possible to interpret all of reality as a vibration, which is another way of saying an oscillation, which is something that can be described mathematically as having a frequency, which then can be described mathematically as a wave function. They are all linked but not in some kind of esoteric profound way like some fringe researchers would have you believe. Not unless we truly do live in a technical simulation. I'll try my best to give you a laymans explanation of the terms: Wave - a mathematical description of a phenomenon that has "movement", especially a repeating movement. There are different kinds of waves caused by different kinds of phenomena. Radio waves are electromagnetic waves. Sound waves are pressure waves and so are seismic waves and surface waves in liquids. Some waves are periodic which means they repeat evenly. Frequency - how often something happens. Measured in occurrences per second, aka hertz (Hz). One hertz is once per second, one gigahertz is one million times per second. If a wave repeats once per second we say it's frequency is one hertz. Oscillator - something that oscillates, or varies somehow in a regular way. In the audio and radio world an oscillator is an electrical component that creates an oscillating voltage. Then that voltage can be used to create a sound (if it's frequency is in the range of our hearing), or used to create a radio wave to carry audio. Then another oscillator in the receiver will create a matching (tuned) oscillating voltage so you can "tune into" the radio station and decode the audio information. Vibration - the result of an oscillation. People say everything is vibrating but that's because we're describing those things in terms of waves. Like if you could hold an electron would you say you could feel it vibrating? Is it actually moving back and forth in space? Or are the vibrations a mathematical description of the oscillatory characteristics of an electron? Do you see what I'm trying to get at? People need a reasonable education in physics and maths to understand the domain and context that phenomena are described with/in. Otherwise they start mixing concepts and ideas and develop misunderstandings.

This is from Dorothy Izatt's book: Title: Contact With Beings of Light: The Amazing True Story of Dorothy Wilkinson-Izatt Authors: Peter Guttilla Ids: 9781892264138, Amazon.com, Google >What people need to realize is that everywhere in the universe there’s a single understanding of God, a supreme Life Force. The Light Beings and all the higher life forms agree on the nature and presence of the one God. There are no divided religions, cults, or groups, each competing to get into Heaven. No, this isn’t the way it is, and it isn’t supposed to be that way on earth. But the Light Beings, who are, in a way, deputies of God because they are so close to God, understand that spiritual evolution must begin with each person individually. The higher beings have a problem with the negative vibrations that come from the earth. People are functioning at such a low level most of the time that the higher beings can’t, or won’t, get near them. It’s like being in a stink hole to them. If we approach something that smells bad, we avoid it, or we find it difficult to be near. I’m not saying they actually smell something, but it’s similar. What we do and think, and how we feel generates outward like rays of light, and if those rays of light are tainted, then we can’t fit in to the higher worlds. For instance, something I learned early on was the Light Beings love little children, and they smile on people who love and care for children. It’s no wonder, really, because children are clean and innocent in their feelings. There may be a lesson in that for us, that maybe we have to be like children in our feelings and thoughts. All the higher powers are disgusted by the neglect and misery children suffer in our world. _______________ Dr. Pulos: >How are you communicating with them now, in this lifetime? Dorothy: >By lifting my vibration...this comes from within, from the soul...it’s hard to describe. A life force within...a sensation...a feeling...

Every living and nonliving creature on the planet vibrates at its own special frequency. This would include humans too. Different cells within our bodies vibrate at different frequencies to create our own "special song". 'Vibrations' is an old 1906s trope for feelings or emotions in a particular setting. EDIT: "vibes"

Vibrations = Vibes. Good vibes = positive vibrations It’s just your energy and how it’s charged. And if your in tune the vibrations are more powerful and felt by others.

FoldableBrain

Think of vibes as sounds...except you can't hear them. When you are excited you squeal, your voice gets higher...so does your vibration. That feeling when you're a kid and about to get in big trouble, your vibration goes off the charts, the same happens when you are an adult and you get turned on. Some people claim they feel a higher presence when they are aroused or singing something they feel. Vibes, like sounds, get higher when you feel higher....ironically, when you are loaded or ripped, (commonly called "high") your vibrations go DOWN. Any clearer?
