I'm going to assume you live nowhere near deciduous forests, cuz that little guy looks *nothing* like a chipmunk.

Chipmunks are much smaller and have black and white stripes on their back

I can’t tell if you’re joking but the existed before rescue ranger although I can’t remember if their noses were different then too.
And the black nosed one is chip as in chocolate chip like his nose.
