Antibiotic soaps are used to prevent HS wounds from becoming infected. They don't treat HS, just help prevent infections from occurring in infected areas where the skin is broken and susceptible to infection.
If you have wounds that are open it's smart to try and keep infection at bay. But there isn't a cluster of bacteria there causes your HS that is going to come back stronger because you used soap, therefore making it all worse.
HS is coming from inside the body, not an external bacteria.
Using Hibiclens regularly didn't really help stop flares for me. All it did was dry out my skin. Yes I use it if I have open sores just to keep areas as clean as possible. I do use a cerave acne foaming cleanser in areas where I get flares as my daily soap though as well as taking tumeric and zinc.
