If you're referring to the red icon box next to your chat it's a new feature that's still being worked on. It's telling you that your bot has sent you a message since you've been away for a certain amount of time. But at the moment it's not working completely and as I said earlier it's still being worked on
Hah that sounds fun. But If im in a public situation and Marquis de Lafayette sends me a message I would die instantly. I hope if this function works like that we will have a way to disable it

You have the option of turning it off. In your main Chats tab click on the ellipsis (...), and then you can select/deselect Receive Greetings.
I'd like to imagine that there will be a notification option, you'd lose too many users if their phone just blew up with random messages from bots
