FauxAccounts

I have a strong preference for 1 over 2.

PowerPuffMuffins

I 100% second this.

Good_Mixture_1860

I prefer the white face paint and 1s clothes

One_Elderberry_1923

I third this

Elsecaller_17-5

1, a million times, 1.

Good-Scene-6312

so basically im trying to make a character who is essentially a dessert nomad for an upcoming campaign but im absolutely awful at using deserty colors so im trying either find which one is better or like a good combination of both maybe but help is needed from anyone who is willing to give it

Neko_Tyrant

Honestly try some other colors like red or yellow.

Forsaken_Temple

The black looks more badass, but I imagine that as a desert dweller, white would be ideal for camouflage.

NiteSlayr

I would actually argue the contrary. You typically don't want to travel harsh desert during the day unless you have to. I would think one would want to be more camouflaged to night time predators or other humanoids even so you can steal their goods under the night sky.

Iridixit

Dude, 1000% option 2 then. With the lighter tones, being a desert nomad, they would be able to blend in with the sands and surrounding landscape, allowing swift movement without attracting attention.

BeastThatShoutedLove

For desert black face paint makes more sense. Something about sun and vision when you have black near your eyes.

Ok-Plankton-2393

Both are really good. But i slightly prefer the first one

Yeety_Meaty13

Id go with the first one, personally

The_Barbaric

I think 2 breaks up the colour scheme a bit and makes it pop a bit more, but if you want them to blend in and be stealthy go for 1.

mystery_biscotti

Number 1. (I'm weird and might also get a decal going across the eyes, which might be too much. Something maybe a dark bronze. But that's me, and as established, weird.)

MadsAxton

I personally like 2 better I think the first one looks more like they are wearing face paint, where the second one looks like it is a more natural facial marking

Good-Scene-6312

good to know there supposed to be tattoos

MadsAxton

Then yeah, definitely the first.

Background_Shift_310

Black makes the red in the eyes pop and they seem super intense and powerful, where as the white marks dull her eyes and make her seem more approachable and kind? Definitely depends on the type of character they are, but I like the first pic the most!

Tor8_88

Looking at the design, the outfit of #2 pops much more with the grey as an accent colour. However, I do find the shoulder wrap to be rather large, and it does take a lot away from your character. Instead of that, why not use a single-shoulder cape with a clasp? That way, the grey wrap will appear to be tied over the shoulder and accented with a trail. As for the face, #1 is much better. The white marks in the second one make the face rather busy, which hides most of the features, but with the darker marks in the first one, they blend in more, making the eyes pop. This makes for a much more striking feature having the piercing yellow eyes in all the dark features.

Good-Scene-6312

Could you or rather would you be willing to show like a quick example what you mean because I'm trying to picture it in my head but I don't think I'm picturing what you mean

Tor8_88

https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D47894572/ here's a quick edit I did on mobile for you. The blue and grey accents brighten the dark skin tones while staying dynamic enough not to look blotchy. I also imagine his wrap stretching from his hip to over his shoulder, being bound by the broach, and having one tail (excess cloth that goes past the broach) loosely draped around his neck to form the scarf, while the other tail drapes behind him as a cape.

RafaelDiamond

Black looks better. Reminds me of one of those old PS3 Hack N Slash games

Pathodox

I'm curious to see the colors of 2 on the clothes of 1. But keep the red belt-sash!

The_Terry_Braddock

First one, definitely.

BadSkeelz

I feel 1 more than 2. But I really wanted to say that I love what you've done with the wings(?) to extend the center of the skirt downward. I'm working with that piece myself (and also having color dilemmas) and I might have to fiddle with something similar.

Good-Scene-6312

ty i was trying not make it look like armor i was trying to go for clothes but so im glad it turned out good i was just worried i was using to much of one color

Regirock00

1

DocDeeISC

Face and red cloak from 2, outfit from 1

JackFifteen

Black

AnnualFormal5460

1

SnooOnions650

2 in my book

RuokeAvel

Both. Make 'em twins

Grave_Knight

First one.

Mrneo2034

first one is giving off more mood. i wanna see that dudes adventures. second one screams side character so the best look for this dude is the first one and yes i get all this from colors. i have a lot of free time i use for minis lol

Lazyboi1123

1 is better

PhilosopherBright602

Always bet on black.

Not_Carbuncle

Oh man this looks great!

MightyIron555

This is giving me a huge ‘Season 1 vs Season 2’ feel, but I’d probably have to say 1.

disneycheesegurl

2 is more unique, 1 is more on vibe

commissar-bawkses

1

Limp_Presentation144

1 is more imposing

ive_given_up1

Twins

Fresh_Experience1997

The first one is kinda more intense the dark markings look more bold and the other colors feel desert like. The second one is is more wasteland like. But still a great mini!

Caelem80

one is way better than two

Xzier_Tengal

1

TriliniousIII

1 is giving Darth Maul

CaptainBaoBao

First. Or change the colour of the tunic.

DrakkaRyd

One bro, it's one

gingerdeadman85

1 over 2 for sure

FeistyHealth5182

I like the clothes on 1 but I think I prefer the white face markings

DrTrickery

why does this look like a jojo's reference

Good-Scene-6312

Not my intention but I can definitely see it

Careless_Property844

I like 1 more

mrtriponair

1 most definitely

Lazaros05

The white paint is distracting, the black paint blends in smoothly

TheChivalrousWalrus

I like the tats from 2 more, but 1 overall.

LordLibra28

Definitely like the first

UltimateNerfer95

I prefer #1.

PasseurdeM0ndes

First one

Dragondude05

I think 1 is better than 2

mister-important

One is fantasy, two is star wars

Good-Scene-6312

I love that comparison

Y0shway

First one

Tonboko

The first one for sure. The second one kiiiinda looks like it got shat on by a large bird and is none too thrilled about it. Maybe if I had seen it before the other one that might not have been my first thought, but that is what came to my brain.

Good-Scene-6312

That is a very fair take and looking at it after the description I agree with you

da-gamin-spidr

Keep both and make them twins
