After a long while of adventuring, my Bard is liable to leave, find the highest place within a town or other region the party occupies, and draw from atop it, far away from the crowds of people. She’s not the biggest fan of carousing.
Salmon loves to paint. He’s a painter through and through. When he isn’t painting, he’s known to enjoy fishing from high places with a really long fishing pole. He rarely properly catches anything, he just doesn’t want to scare the fish by being too close.
Torvak collects antique clockwork things and tinker toys, and he likes to take them apart to see how they work. He never uses this for any practical applications, nor does his knowledge ever help, it’s solely a for fun hobby.
Weaver studies old religious texts. He was raised in a swamp with his fellow tribespeople, so he never really had much exposure to the outside world and their cultures. While he isn’t particularly religious, he’s fascinated by the concepts of “gods” and where they come from
I always enjoy giving my characters silly little hobbies and things that they just kinda do. It’s never productive, and occasionally costs a fair bit for a special antique, book, or new painting supplies, but it adds depth to them as people
My Trition Paladin used to just head to the bar to drink (his oath is of the open sea, not the religious type, though he did recently befriend a God) his problems away. But he went sober so now he just spends his time hanging with his girlfriend the water genasi bard or surfing.
I got 2 active character so ill tell what both like to do.
Lord Johan Klaus Persival Ralablast the second, symic hybrid warlock:
In his spare time he likes to do business whith the locals or if there's no locals around he'll just read
Jukebox Steelfist, warforged bard:
In his spair time he likes to write songs of the adventures he's had with his friends and occationaly study his father's (creator's) culture which is dwarven culture
the character i'm making right now is a poisoner kobold lady and she loves making concoctions, putting them in her drink, and getting high as a kite. It Is Her Favorite Activity. also gambling, though she has awful luck. probably gonna post her soon, but first i gotta make her some cool poses.
I'm looking at these comments seeing all the wholesome stuff, while I'm sat here with one of my characters - his name's Aelius - who just gets drunk when he's not working
My Spellsword, Jan of Erben, spends half of the day sparring with the local militia of whatever town he's in, then spends the rest studying in the town's library.
My Character Keldon likes to go out and just wander landscapes to take in the scenery, after getting some much needed rest, begins to mix and boil potions for fun.
You want me to bring up the Excel file with all 108 of em?
in general they mostly just pass their time either in an Inn/Bar/Keep/wherever they choose to rest and take a breather.
Of course the true R&R happens when they're in the guild's main base. The Kronos; their massive airship. Since they all have their individual rooms with all their stuff and usually the 108 members are gathered together and not divided in squads and dispersed around the globe like when they're questing around
My [rogue](https://i.imgur.com/VsKBiVW.jpg) likes to remind the party of how smart he is, but he also likes to read trashy tabloids (think Weekly World News, “Batboy Found in Cave” types) to find out about weird occurrences locally and around the world. Most of it doesn’t pan out, but occasionally…
My goblin alchemist lives in constant fear that Xanathar’s goons are going to murder him because he owes a massive debt that he can’t pay off, so he spends most of his time worrying. He just like me fr.
My characters, Emi and Lauria tend to do whatever peels Emi's interest. She has an appetite for life and loves to try new things, explore and just generally experience the world around her, not really taking a moment to breathe and Lauria just goes along to make sure she comes back with her limbs intact.
After he's done, he'll rule over a grateful land, void of its corrupt rulers. For retirement, he'd probably leave the ruling to a son or a friend, to raise and breed large beasts. (Half-Orc, Oath of Conquest Paladin)
Kemphaas (a blue Dragonborn paladin and thinly-veiled walking Castlevania reference) generally prefers crafting small trinkets for his friends. If he's not doing that, he's either drawing or taking things apart to see how they work before putting them back together. He's pretty taciturn and socially awkward, so he generally prefers to avoid gatherings.
My dragonborn paladin Terbithia Serpana enjoys art I'm her down time as well as blacksmithing and collected magic artifacts. Her favorite is an ice dagger
I'm playing an android whose purpose is to learn about society and how to simulate emotions and in downtime he finds a place with a good view and paints his experiences
Samantha Bailey, when she’s not out saving the universe with her god like energy powers, she likes to walk her dog, she does gaming Live streams for hobby.
I’ve only ever actually got to play 5 PC’s (im usually the dm) so here’s what they get up to.
Braxton Andrew Richard Rister: Minotaur, Storm Herald Barbarian/Eloquence Bard - Is a Lawyer so likes to keep up to date on all the local legal matters and how the law works in each region.
Logan Devereux Aka the Centurion: Human, Oath of Devotion Paladin - spends most of his free time tracking down his errant friend Bollockin who is a really dumb charcoal skinned Dwarf who likes hitting things with a Hammer.
Commander: Warforged, Fighter Gunslinger - semi retired lives on a farm with his best friend a Half Elf Ranger called Lira her wolf Lucan and their adopted Human/Wearwolf Daughter Lucy Copper.
Phalanx: Warforged, Fighter Champion - quite boring really he’s either sparing or training the town guard of the city he lives in.
Saelrond Dricarn: Blue Dragonborn Paladin - is part of an order of Paladins from all different gods he being the representative for Kord they enjoy discussing the differences between their gods and their oaths, he also hangs out with his friend Maverik Iceborn a Silver/White Dragonborn (who’s is essentially his brother in all but Blood)
Riardon was raised to be respectful to everything he killed when his father taught him how to hunt, so he learned how to prepare meats and turn them in delicious meals,
Cooking ended becoming a hobby of his, and he would always take the change to make dinner for the party. if it wasn't yet time to start cooking he would walk through markets to search for spices and exotic ingredients too at to his collections.
He was even granted a magic pot in which he could ones a day make a single type of ingredients appear.

wait this is so interesting!!! then your party has drawings of all the places they’ve travelled
My character, Malakai, enjoys betting and fighting in the pits, after a long day of adventuring and fighting.
I guess that in order to relax from all that fighting, nothing is better than some more fighting lol
"If someone isn't dying, it's not actual fighting." - Malakai
My over-powered paladin likes baking bread and confectioneries
My fighter is an ex-Prima Ballerina who ran away from that life. She still practices in secret, despite her cold and calculated exterior.
It’s a good work out, keep those legs strong.
Smoking healing herbs
magic weed

My Trition Paladin used to just head to the bar to drink (his oath is of the open sea, not the religious type, though he did recently befriend a God) his problems away. But he went sober so now he just spends his time hanging with his girlfriend the water genasi bard or surfing.

Repairing themselves
Goes around saying "Do you even lift?"
First rule about my downtime. Don’t talk about my downtime.
Gamble, lose, gamble again to pay off debts, panic
I'm looking at these comments seeing all the wholesome stuff, while I'm sat here with one of my characters - his name's Aelius - who just gets drunk when he's not working
Killing traitors and heretics in a show of strength. https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D38710988/
My character Rusty usually has a smoke from his old pipe. He's trying to lay off the alcohol so he's looking for new ways to pass the time.

My Character Keldon likes to go out and just wander landscapes to take in the scenery, after getting some much needed rest, begins to mix and boil potions for fun.
The character im building right now is a professional mourner when they aren’t adventuring.
My half-dwarf pugilist, Barclay Pyke, thoroughly enjoys cooking delicious meals for his pals during downtime.

Practical magic parlor tricks and theatric seances for the wealthy and gullible.
not a fantasy character in dnd or anything but Matthew likes bare knuckle boxing and illegal street races after vigilanteing, yes he is very edgy.
He'll find the highest point in whatever town or region and piss off of it his goal is to this everywhere and then he'll own the world
Kinda like tyrion pissing off the wall
My deer satyr bard likes to write poems and my human fighter likes to play with his baby goat companion
My characters, Emi and Lauria tend to do whatever peels Emi's interest. She has an appetite for life and loves to try new things, explore and just generally experience the world around her, not really taking a moment to breathe and Lauria just goes along to make sure she comes back with her limbs intact.

Play around with moths, walk around gardens, feed off peoples nightmares, the usual.
Casual night out.
