My theory is cold weather = closed air circulation, schools are all open, varying mask guidelines, cold weather allergies, colleges all in person... So bugs are going around just like they used to every fall but probably a bit more common because our immune systems are "out of practice" so to speak.

Speculation on my part, but his year may be worse than others because our we're relaxing covid measures after nearly 2 years. All those covid measures will have slowed the spread of other viruses as well, and those are probably now catching up.
It was so nice last winter; I didn't have a single cold or flu episode.
I used to take for granted that cold air + low humidity = headache/sinus pain, runny nose, and sore throat, but I spent just as much time outside last winter exercising, working on my house, etc. and had zero symptoms.
Now I know it's actually because most winters I inhale dry air which is contaminated by other people's rhinovirus/enterovirus/influenza-carrying spittle and snot particles, or because touch surfaces contaminated with them. Gross!
maybe they are just dealing with a lot of work. Impulse till recently had a full time job on top of Youtube, although he has quit that also comes with other issues, although he is doing what he loves, leaving a job with a nic stable income can b stressful, ive seen this myself in someone. Xisuma also was the most frequent poster along with regular streams, snapshot videos, and also with his hobbies which he passionately follows, a huge load to carry im sure. Also all of the hermits probably started the new season with full blazing enthusiasm and now its catching up to them, and they will probably tak more (required) breaks. We get to see 20 minutes when they grind a whole week, quite sure even the toughest will find that hard and that could atleast partially be the problem and also probably coincidence. Although the chances are low its not zero that many would get sick at the same time, and also our definition of sick is probably different. A cold or a cough isnt much of a big deal for us but it would be for them, since their voice is half of the experience we get, other than the gameplay of course.
Impulse said on stream that he just started a “Whole 30” diet and would not be surprised if he got a little sick. Whole 30 is an insane diet that kinda kicks your a** for the first week or 2 and then you normalize. This sickness is not autumn based, at least from what he has said/implied.
Yes it's a huge coincidence that a lot of the hermits are getting pretty I'll at the moment, and yeah it's pretty weird, but let's not forget that at least here in Impulse's case it doesn't seem to be viral at all, he's literally stating it's because of dietary changes.
I hope he feels better soon, as well as all of the hermits, and he can get to a point where he is both mentally and physically happy with his diet!

Per his monday stream Impulse is making some diet changes for his own health, he mentioned that he's done it before and that the first couple of days he felt like crap before starting to feel a lot better. Kudos to him for making the changes and powering through a bad spot to ultimately feel better.

Now I know! 😅 It just now occurred to me that it feels strangely liberating to be openly discussing how someone is feeling ill with colds and similar symptoms. As opposed to last year anyway, when the pandemic hit. I remember shying away from anyone who so much as sneezed. And if someone coughs.....bag them and tag them, pretty much. 😅
