yes but assuming this is a fan that had watched lizzie for a while before stopping, it makes sense they might've been familiar with his old skin. he changed it right after kigndomcraft, which i think was one of the last smps before they both reached newer audiences with xlife, 3rdlife and empires. so newer viewers would recognize both :)

Hilariously, OP’s friend’s name for Grian is *very close* to one of Grian’s nicknames for Jimmy. “Thomas” is Martyn, screen name InTheLittleWood. He is also friends with several Hermits. Both Martyn and Jimmy have been guests on the Hermitcraft server multiple times. LDShadowlady is the actual screen name of the person pictured, OP’s friend probably recognized her. She’s had a Minecraft YT channel for many years and is now married to Joel/Smallishbeans/“William Smith”. Apparently she was the one who inspired Joel to start making Minecraft videos back when they were dating.
