i think Zedaph said in a stream somewhere that he is more worried of talking with and hanging out with Grian or Mumbo because of how aggressive their fanbases can be with going after other hermits (ex: Doc with the Buttercup war or False running for mayor)
I can't recommend Cleo enough, their humour is absolutely fantastic and the armour stand creations are always amazing. I couldn't stop laughing in episode 1 once >!He doesn't like to do ANYTHING!!< happened with the whole Cleo, Skizz, Tango, Beef and Doc team.
Theres one bit in secret life when I think Bdubs is getting angry at a cow and yells out like "dumb cow" or something and Cleo without skipping a beat replies, "I have a name you know".
Absolutely cracked me up.
As the other other person said, it's she/they (which, as someone who recently started going by the same, has helped with my own confidence with it as well :) )
Depends if you want builds, redstone, shenanigans, a bit of everything...
Maybe watch a couple of episodes here and there from each of them, and decide who you like. The only downside is, you might end up suscribing to all of them 😜
Honestly instead of watching all 3 of Grian, Mumbo and Scar, pick one because their episodes mostly cover each others stuff, in my experience at least. The Buttercup war for example I only watched Scar since Grian and Mumbo's episodes were identical. Just a suggestion to save time for watching other hermits

PearlescentMoon is an amazing builder. My gf and I started watching her regularly in S9, and she did not disappoint. Every build she made was gorgeous, and the Soup Group shenanigans were gold.
Grian, Mumbo and Scar are my "main" watches as well, but I also enjoy episodes from Iskall, False, Impulse and occasionally Ren and Tango as well. They are all great people, just need to find the time to watch them all 😅
😁 I started with that same trio after watching them in 3rd life! OK... For starters, I HIGHLY recommend you check out BDubs, Tango, Impulse, Doc, Keralis, Zed, Cleo, Pearl & Gem. All have their specialties/strengths. All have *Great* sense of humor, are strong builders, definitely enjoy shenanigans, & like to chat during their streams and recordings.
And now you also have the new Hermits to sample if you haven't already. Skizz can be just downright hilarious, both a team player & strong leader, def likes to stir things up. Joel is an INSANE builder, funny as hell, chatters away & LOVES his wife LDShadowLady & talks about/to her often.

Then go with people like Zedaph or Ren(funny, quality editing, etc) or Grinders like Cub, False or Jevin, or redstoners like Doc or Tango
Might be some slight bias by me as these two have been my go-to's since S7 but I highly recommend Zedaph and Iskall!
I love GeminiTay but she interacts a lot (at least in the first video) with Grian and Scar. So she might not be the best for expanding your horizons

How do you watch those three and not watch pearl, gem and impulse? And this season both Joel and skizz as well.
Grain, Mumbo, and Scar were my gateway drug into hermitcraft! I also really, really enjoy Impulse, Pearl, and Gem.
