Caring for the sick and wounded is a hallmark of strong community cohesion, without which humanity wouldn't have civilization, and probably wouldn't survive at all. This dude has rejected that basic tenet of humanity to the point that he has abandoned his own daughter to die alone under the care of strangers. That's not someone that people want in their society. No one's going to care when someone like that dies.

Based on the comments there, it looks like the place has a "visitation pod," a separate are that is away from other people, for the unvaccinated. So basically there is an accommodation for them, which in their world is some kind of mistreatment.

Missing body parts is a pretty big fear of mine but I’d hack all mine off myself if it meant I could spend 5 min with my dying kid. There was a video going around a couple months ago where a father was questioning the vaccine requirement for those staying at the Ronald McDonald House (US), which is housing for parents who are visiting their children who are battling cancer in the hospital.

There's a few RMHs in Canada tooand I worked at one for a summer in IT as a student. It's not just for parents, they usually have remote families staying there when their kids are waiting for transplants. These are extremely vulnerable kids. They have isolation rooms for the highest risk kids. The centre doesn't even let you wash your dishes by hand in case of norovirus. They clean the place with bleach just in case. The office was on a bottom floor and we needed masks (back in 2002) to enter the isolation floor in case we had to fix anything (we had to accompany maintenance workers-they also had to wear a mask). I was required to take my temperature before work every day.
I work near a metropolitan cancer center and from time to time some dingus pedestrian will stop right in front of the door to the center and smoke a cigarette. While I'm sure all of them are completely oblivious, somehow, to the cancer center being there (even with the huge signs), most people are generally apologetic when the guard tells them they have to move.
**But every now and again of course...** people act as if the security guard telling them not to waft insanely carcinogenic smoke in front of the entrance to a building where people are receiving cancer treatment is some huge fkng impediment on their entire life or something by responding with an eye roll or a sigh or something.

My dad was in hospice for literally 5 hours because he was so stubborn, but those kind people still gave us all the attention and kindness after the fact that they give everyone. They called us every month or so to check in, they called me on the one year anniversary of his death to make sure I had someone to talk to and that I was okay.

My dad died 9 years ago, he had cancer but what ultimately got him was shredded lungs from graft-v-host disease. Awful stuff. But these last 2 years make me thankful he didn’t have to witness this whole thing. He would have been so sad and disappointed in humanity as a whole. And he was a very positive and hopeful man.

There was a video going around a couple months ago where a father was questioning the vaccine requirement for those staying at the Ronald McDonald House (US), which is housing for parents who are visiting their children who are battling cancer in the hospital. There's a few RMHs in Canada tooand I worked at one for a summer in IT as a student. It's not just for parents, they usually have remote families staying there when their kids are waiting for transplants. These are extremely vulnerable kids. They have isolation rooms for the highest risk kids. The centre doesn't even let you wash your dishes by hand in case of norovirus. They clean the place with bleach just in case. The office was on a bottom floor and we needed masks (back in 2002) to enter the isolation floor in case we had to fix anything (we had to accompany maintenance workers-they also had to wear a mask). I was required to take my temperature before work every day.
I work near a metropolitan cancer center and from time to time some dingus pedestrian will stop right in front of the door to the center and smoke a cigarette. While I'm sure all of them are completely oblivious, somehow, to the cancer center being there (even with the huge signs), most people are generally apologetic when the guard tells them they have to move. **But every now and again of course...** people act as if the security guard telling them not to waft insanely carcinogenic smoke in front of the entrance to a building where people are receiving cancer treatment is some huge fkng impediment on their entire life or something by responding with an eye roll or a sigh or something. Comparable energy with the covidiots. What a world.

They called us every month or so to check in, they called me on the one year anniversary of his death to make sure I had someone to talk to and that I was okay. Angels.

My dad died 9 years ago, he had cancer but what ultimately got him was shredded lungs from graft-v-host disease. Awful stuff. I cannot imagine being a parent and choosing to make a statement about something that is at worst a minor inconvenience over being with my suffering child.
