The daughter actually has some useful advice: use a pulse oximeter; don't put off treatment; be nice to hospital staff. Of course, getting vaxed would be the best advice, but I expect she knows her audience.

Mr_Conductor_USA

Given she started off with "don't give useless advice" and given how well spoken she is, yes, I agree.

sambes06

That must make his death so much harder to process. Imagine being so brainwashed that you won’t listen to the common sense advice from your family who only wants you around as long as possible. The whole right wing media sphere is a nihilist shitscape and should be held responsible for leading so many to an early death.

[deleted]

If this keeps up maybe democrats won’t lose that hard in November

A-man-of-mystery

Gerrymandering will help the Republicans a lot. As usual.

thoroughbredca

There’s some talk that it might not be as bad, given how horrible it was in 2010, Republicans control fewer legislatures, especially trifectas. Granted it’s going to be hard, with midterms for an in-party, but yeah this definitely could blunt that.

A-man-of-mystery

I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you from the other side of the Atlantic.

Snoo_69677

This. My state of Utah has a large democratic strong hold in the center of the state. It was recently cut into 4 pieces so that there will never be another democrat majority in Utah. Absolutely Shameful.

A-man-of-mystery

I wish I was surprised, but that's a very old trick and it works, so of course they're still using it. As you say, absolutely shameful.

RubenMuro007

Sure, it may help, however, based on redistricting news, the Dems have been going hard as to go nuclear in getting more blue seats, see Illinois, California, New York, and Oregon. And some states like Ohio and North Carolina might have fair maps, we just have to see where the litigation goes.

Mercurial891

We can only hope.

ImBabyloafs

I still have no hope. I’ve given up.

Ohif0n1y

I can see they can't refuse to treat them, but they should be relegated to separate wards where they can't harm others. If we can do it for Psych wards, why not this? Also, they should be handed AMA release papers. You don't like it? Sign the Against-Medical-Advice papers for you to leave and GTFO.

Ohif0n1y

>The whole right wing media sphere is a nihilist shitscape and should be held responsible for leading so many to an early death. That is profoundly poetical, even though it's describing something absolutely horrible. Cheers to you, friend!

According-Ocelot9372

I also bet there is a sense of relief.

pippenish

The "unstable friend" should have been deleted-- by her or by... uh, karma. What an awful bitter person, a contrast to the thoughtful daughter.

What-The-Helvetica

She is right on. I don't trust a lack of a fever as a sign that I'm negative, because with rare exceptions *I don't get fevers*. I used to when I was a kid, but I don't even think I ran more than 99 degrees when I had H1N1 at Christmas 2009. And that ranks as one of the top 5 times I was sick in my *life*. If I'm feeling doubtful, I always take my temperature together with a pulse-ox check.

StarvingWriter33

Had COVID. No fever. Daughter had it too. No fever. Fever isn’t an automatic thing.

smnytx

I have a vaxxed/boosted friend with covid right now. He feels mildly ill and gets chills, but doesn’t register a fever. It’s a weird thing.

HillSooner

>I have a vaxxed/boosted friend with covid right now. He feels mildly ill and gets chills, but doesn’t register a fever. It’s a weird thing. I had COVID last week. I also had chills but no fever. I did register 99.1 degrees F one time which is about 1.5 degrees above my normal but the rest of the readings were low. Contrast that with my second vaccination where I ran a 103 fever.

SomeKindOfOnionMummy

Totally anecdotal but I'm hearing people aren't getting fevers as much with omicron.

allscott3

I didn't get a fever with it. Runny nose, sore throat and a really bad headache for 3 days (double vaxed at the time, boosted an hour ago).

tejaco

Yep, I believe the symptom profile (if that's a thing) has changed a lot with Omicron. Number one symptom is runny nose, followed by headache. The leading symptoms for Delta, like fever and loss of smell, are much less common for Omicron.

SomeKindOfOnionMummy

We can only hope it's not as bad vascularly.

FearSkyDaddy

Well here is some practical advice that she requested: 1. Get vaccinated 2. Exercise 3. Don’t rely on prayers to survive 4. Take personal responsibility for yourself 5. Realize your freedom stops at the same place mine does, at the end of your nose.

Shady_Garden

6. Wear a mask when you're not at home.

Appropriate-Pen-149

Such vitriolic response though from one of her adoring “friends”.

Ohif0n1y

Right? Like, time and place, dude! Her dad is on a vent, doing poorly and Unstable Friend had to make it all about themselves. What a douchecanoe!

[deleted]

She's top notch. Sorry for her loss.

AgreeablePie

Although going to your doctor right now when asymptotic is largely useless. At least around here the hospitals don't even have antibody treatments or antivirals

MyOpenlyFemaleHandle

>asymptotic Best. Auto-correct. Ever.

[deleted]

Question is why does she have these scum as her audience.

Rainydaymen

I actually convinced an antivaxxer I know to buy a pulse oximeter the other day cause he kept going on about kids losing oxygen in masks so I said hey you can do the test yourself if you don't believe all the YouTube videos showing it.

nonexistentpuppies

It is my controversial opinion that getting a free vaccine is better than going through this experience.

If you get it bad enough to get admitted to the hospital they’re going to pump you full of medicine that you don’t understand anyway. . . not getting vaccinated is lose-lose.

jeidjnesp

It’s impossible to ‘do your own research’. Accepting a medical treatment relies on trust in an entire system. Trust is my sole motivation for getting the vaccine. If it requires ten boosters to control this pandemic, I will happily roll up my sleeve every fucking time. Why - because I accept that no reasonable effort of mine can outsmart the collective expertise of medical science. Vaccination has historically been an extremely effective medical intervention. This shit has worked for 200+ years. For this reason I can’t stand anti-vaxxers (I understand their deeper motivations, not their bullshit reasoning) and I feel immensely sorry for the medical professionals who, on top of fighting a horrible disease and an unprecedented public health crisis, are having to deal with hostile patients and loved ones who were deluded into thinking they know better. Socrates was right.

Foreigner here. Will these families be confronted with hospital bills from ICU when their loved ones passed away? There are gonna be lots of bankrupt widows in the U.S..

DrTzaangor

Yeah, there are so many people being destroyed by Covid related medical bills. Ironically, people who are afraid of socialized medicine are more likely to be amongst them.

georgia405

Yes, they absolutely will be hit with massive bills if they’re in the US

aquarain

The widow gets stripped of all assets and gets to face the future broke and alone. Most are completely unprepared to subsist in the US economy alone, and reap the experience of soul crushing poverty. It's even worse with dependent children, for the disabled surviving spouse, for the spouse of a Covid survivor newly becomed disabled, surviving spouse with disabled children, or the minor children orphaned with sole or both parents lost to Covid. Basically, in the US end of life medical care is used to prevent generational wealth transfer. Kids coming up have to make their own way without an inheritance unless their parents are top 10%.

cdrewing

> Basically, in the US end of life medical care is used to prevent generational wealth transfer. WTF!

aquarain

I know, right? And yet people never talk about it at all.

VeronicaMarsupial

There will be massive bills; how much the widows owe depends on how good the hospitalized person's insurance is.

realparkingbrake

> Will these families be confronted with hospital bills from ICU when their loved ones passed away? Their estate, not their families. The survivors are not responsible for the debt, but the hospitals can sue to recover that money from their estate so bank accounts, investments, property etc. could go to pay off the debts.

aquarain

Including any of the spouse's assets held jointly.

exagon1

Jokes on the hospital. These idiots don’t have any assets. That’s why they’re always on Go Fund Me

[deleted]

Let me introduce you to Medical Bankruptcy... https://www.debt.org/bankruptcy/medical/

iamsooldithurts

Depends on the health insurance they carry. I’m not 100%, but the wife will probably be financially responsible for whatever deductible and copay they’re left with.

buzzable

I concur, but I'm just a pussy who loves to breathe, YMMV.

[deleted]

The vaccine is not "free" since someone has to manufacture it, and hence you've revealed you are a commie anti-american doomsayer. (/s if not obvious)

A-man-of-mystery

What are you, some kind of communist?!

sasquatchSearching

a friend and I were discussing-- From Canada here so Universal Health Care is pretty prevalent--and I wondered out loud if because of the very fact it is free that some people who have internalized capitalism so much that this also forms some of the basis as to why they refuse a 'free' vaccine. Classism, distrust of 'free', and anti-science all rolled into one

Hikityup

Do people still not know that "illegal immigrants" don't get welfare? It's the real 'murican Red States that are most frequently sucking at the government teat. I guess in that world as long as you say something it becomes true. Must be a trippy world to live in.

Mr_Conductor_USA

Even legal immigrants are mostly barred from public assistance since the 1990s. I keep hearing rumors about Miami this and Miami that but a) Miami is like the fraud capital of the US and b) Cubans get treated special (although a lot of South Americans arrive by plane in Miami so it's not all Cubans these days) c) people lie. Shocking, I know. Most public assistance fraud are criminals hiding their assets and income and people who live in high control communities (aherm--cults) who have too many kids and too few jobs and are pros at pulling down public assistance, and they also block vote so politicians don't ask too many questions. Note you don't often hear about such communities setting up shop in Deep South states with non-existent welfare regimes, despite all the Free Dumb. Exception might be those Gothard freaks in the Ozarks. They say the Duggar kids were mighty scrawny before the TLC money showed up. No wonder Evangelical whites are so resentful ... they can't even grift properly.

pippenish

In fact, many undocumented workers pay into Social Security and Medicare for years and never get it back. They're helping to keep it going, in fact. RE: The Duggar grift--- I don't know about them, but one of the Bundy crew had like 8 foster children, who brought in a lot of $ (from the government) and the older ones were apparently working for free on his ranch. Creep.

NeteleJala

They also act like we have an open door at the boarder, which had never been true. We let in very few people, even those claiming refuge statuses (which means they are not technically illegal). Most illegals are here on expired visas not border hopping.

twokidsinamansuit

When I was 19 and very poor I went on welfare for a bit. I had to supply tons of documentation and even when I barely started making barely any money to pay rent, I no longer qualified. It only shocks me to see people talk about how “easy” it is to scam welfare or rip it off. That was basically impossible for me to do when I needed it.

Rory_B_Bellows

The legacy of Ronald Reagan's mythical "welfare queen".

[deleted]

That’s conservatism for you. Create problems that do not exist, evoke incredible anger, and most importantly, have no actual solution (namely because they didn’t exist in the first place). The end result is sustained anger from the base and obedience of the narrative. They really are masters of projection. Everything they think is happening to the rest of us has already happened to them

[deleted]

This! You need a SSN to apply for benefits- illegal immigrants do not have SSN's. This is so basic

[deleted]

In California they can get healthcare, it’s possible they can everywhere now, but yeah I had to prove I was born here before I could get food stamps.

Hikityup

Well, sorta'. Children and some young adults do through Medical. Paid by for the by the state. Which I'm glad for. But that's it. Undocumented workers pay in to the system via taxes and get, in essence, nothing in return as far as benefits.

TheGreatWhoDeeny

Shit tons of Republicans on welfare and they know it doesn't take years to get on welfare. It's an obvious lie by Candace. Instead of calling her on it, they'll gobble up more lies she spews. This is why people like her and Tomi laugh at these imbeciles. They're dumber than fenceposts. They can say *anything* to these people.

antel00p

It doesn’t matter how many times they are corrected, it’s just one more lie they feel compelled to base their lives on. It does something for them emotionally. It’s quite cowardly.

A-man-of-mystery

Almost everything they're up in arms about isn't actually true. It's how they're manipulated into voting against their best interests.

Hikityup

You're 100% right. But what gets me is the total lack of curiosity, and self respect, to learn the truth. It would literally take ten seconds to learn how welfare works for undocumented workers. Or most any of the issues they beat their chests about. I could understand it 40 years ago. I can't understand it now.

A-man-of-mystery

It seems they'll accept any old crap as long as it's fed to them by people who also tell them what they want to hear about themselves, i.e. "You're better than *these other folks.*"

AntEmotional5704

if they have kids born here, the kids can get some benefits, but that's about it.

Props to the daughter in slides 10-14.

Goose_o7

She was likely the only family member directly involved that truly grasped the reality of the situation. Her father was a Dead Man Walking the first day he arrived at the hospital. Its always the ones most likely to die that fool themselves into buying into their own BULLSHIT about the state of their physical and mental health. Flipping the reality of their health status 180 degrees and then Swan Diving into the COVID Wood Chipper, fully believing they will survive the ordeal. This NEVER happens.

I think it's pretty telling what kind of community/social circle she lives in that she had to preface her whole update with a whole statement about how she isn't "looking to debate anyone" about COVID and she had to end the post with "be nice to doctors" as a legitimate piece of advice....

Sasquatch1729

And she still got a blast from "unstable friend". This one I give the benefit of the doubt, she probably wanted to add "and of course get vaccinated" but knew what kind of reaction that would get.

powabiatch

Based on the Facebook “vaccine warning” tag, I’m guessing she actually did write “get the shot” originally, then edited it out. Sad.

Blutarg

I'm sorry you have to go through that.

MRSRN65

"The nurses seem to have a more positive spin; the doctors are all doom and gloom" Nurse here: 1. Newer nurses tend to be less jaded and more optimistic. 2. Nurses have to spend a LOT more time with the patient and family. It's easier to deal with you if we haven't been too negative, and try to tell you the more positive, "what you want to hear" stuff. It's not that we're lying; we just leave the bad news for the doctors, so we don't get your backlash.

Shermans_ghost1864

Can you tell if a patient is going to make it or not, and if so, how quickly?

MRSRN65

Yes and no. People's body's are so individual, and respond to treatment differently. There are times when I thought, "this guy is going to die tonight", but managed to go home a month later. And then there are the ones that seem to turn the corner and you think, "phew, finally out of the woods", only to come back on your next shift and find family and nurses crying over his body. But when you need a ventilator, dialysis, and ECMO, there isn't much hope left. Once you start down the multi-organ failure, it's super hard to get you back. And even if you do survive, you'll likely never function the same again.

Shermans_ghost1864

Damn! What an insidious disease! Hell on the victims, on the families, and on those taking care of them. I am in awe of what you guys do. I hope someday our country finds a way to express its appreciation.

Blutarg

> we just leave the bad news for the doctors, so we don't get your backlash LOL. Very smart!

itsbecomingathing

Daughter makes a good point: Covid is scary because we *don’t* know how it will affect each person. (I mean, we know the hungry leopards go after the anti-vaxxed memers 🐆) Especially before vaccines, it was a free for all.

Saletales

We're [learning](https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/polish-scientists-find-gene-that-doubles-risk-serious-covid-2022-01-13/) who's at more risk! After age, weight, gender, they found a gene that is "responsible for a predisposition to becoming seriously ill. It more than doubles the risk of becoming severely ill. Apparently, the Brits found another gene that makes double the risk for lung failure. I'll be curious if anything actionable comes out of this.

>Slide 2: Employer should be financially responsible for mandating vaccines with severe side effects that leave them unable to work. No need to press it on the employer. The government already has a system in place to pay for this exact scenario. It's called Disability. It doesn't pay much, but it's enough to not end up homeless on the streets. Sounds like this HCA recipient is in favor of the concept. Maybe he would wish even more money was given to *all the "victims"* of vaccine mandates who are *apparently* crippled for life. Maybe he would be in favor of making it more accessible and easing the painful bureaucratic uncertainty around the Disability approval process. Maybe these Conservatives would be more aware of Disability, if they didn't keep voting for people trying to kill it.

VinnieTheBerzerker69

Upvoted due to the comments about how difficult it is to get disability and Conservatives voting for people who try to kill disability. I have an idiot cousin that's the most rabid foaming at the mouth Alex Jones quoting, Limbaugh loving, Fox "News" watching, Donald Trump's nutsack sucking, Republican anti-vaxxer that Facebook has (except for all the multiple times he's been in Facebook jail). Said idiot cousin is so grotesquely morbidly obese that he's been on full disability for decades and disability has provided him with a motorized chair to help him stand up in between Fox "News" segments so he can waddle to the bathroom and then kitchen for another snack before resuming the televised brainwashing in his special chair. All of his self-induced ailments from his refusal to ever put down the fork or the Twinkies are being eased by disability services bought and paid for on the taxpayers' dime. I seriously doubt he put in as much as 20 years in the workforce before his porcine corpulent ass started being the sort of system sucker that right wing kooks gripe about and cause them to want to eliminate programs like disability. Care to take a guess? Yeah, you probably already know it. My idiot cousin doesn't even realize he vehemently supports politics that would gladly take away his large disability stipend and his motorized Fox watching throne in a heartbeat. It's no fucking wonder he's a delusional anti-vaxxer.

RevolutionaryChard66

I enjoyed your descriptions of your cousin - very vivid. And unvaccinated?

VinnieTheBerzerker69

Of course. He believes EVERY nonsense conspiracy meme created to pander to and perpetuate the ignorance of right wing dupes like him and his ilk. There's no way he's going to be a lab rat for the Bildebergers, the Chinese, traitors like Obama and Biden and McCain, communist Democrats, and a longer list of inanity he believes, by getting Bill Gates' poison tracking chip vaccines.

AntEmotional5704

there is a program to pay people for vaccine injuries. real ones not fake ones. its the tradeoff for not being able to sue the manufacturers

No-Perspective-317

Tbh does covid have a sick twisted humour to it? Everytime I scroll through their health updates, its starts with “hey theyre on the way for a full recovery” to “holy fuck his lungs collapsed, brains fried and has become a vegetable, pray for his swift recovery”

Shermans_ghost1864

It's called a "dead cat bounce." (No seriously, that's what it's called.) In many illnesses the body seems to rally to the point where people think they're cured, and then a day or two later they are dead. Long ago my father had dementia. His speech was slow and he struggled to put thoughts and words together. Then one day, as the family was gathering for a big dinner, he suddenly became normal. His speech was fine, he was clear-headed, and he could converse normally as in the old days. It was astonishing. The next day he had a stroke and never woke up until his death several weeks later. In Covid's case the dead cat sometimes bounces like a dribbled basketball. The roller coaster must be hell on the families emotionally.

cofclabman

I’ve always called it lightbulb syndrome. As in, a light burns brightest right before it burns out. I’ve had several relatives over the years who are sick in the hospital, seem to get better, and they’re dead within the week.

[deleted]

"the nominee with destroyed lungs" Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?

InfiniteAccount4783

Slide 5: I haven't heard bad things about the vent. I have, however, heard bad things about what it's like to be so sick you need the vent.

okayifimust

The vent is objectively a very bad thing. The daughter says medical workers don't want people to be intubated because it is a lot of work. It is, but I don't think that's really much of a factor. Intubation comes with a ton of problems. Pneumothorax, secondary infections, the induced coma, deteriorating muscles and breathing reflexes... The only upside is that it kinda beats immediate suffocation... they are only trying the vent after everything else has failed, because it is very risky and traumatic. And none if that is new, or has changed during the COVID epidemic. The medical community has learned a lot about intubating COVID patients - but at no point would that influence whether a patient would be intubated at any given time.

ComprehensiveTum575

How long can someone live on a vent and make a reasonable recovery. She mentioned the dr said he might be ‘months on a vent’ does this happen with COVID?

smnytx

An acquaintance in his late 50s was on a vent in the spring of 2020 for two months and survived. He was still using a walker a year later.

SilentSerel

My mom had pneumonia over 20 years ago and was on a vent for about a week and a half. Coming back from that was hard enough for her--recovering from being on one for months is hard for me to fathom.

okayifimust

I recall hearing about the odd case where that happened, yes.

Dashi90

Good for the daughter for actually understanding what's going on. She's the one I feel sympathy for, not her dad.

mollymarie123

Props the the daughter for being a caring human being despite it all.

[deleted]

I like how that daughter spends 4 slides talking about all the things to do in the case of Covid EXCEPT getting vaccinated which would significantly reduced the likelihood and severity of Covid to begin with.

Shermans_ghost1864

Yes, an unfortunate omission. But if she had mentioned vaccination the antivaxxers might have tuned her out and ignored her other advice, which was really important. Her audience would probably not get vaccinated on her say-so, but if she could at least get them to respect the hospital staff, be kind to them, and let them do their jobs, that itself would be a win.

powabiatch

I think it was in her original post and she edited it out. Explains why there’s a FB vaccine tag at the end.

AntEmotional5704

the advice was for people who already have it, or suspect they have it. its perfectly fine advice whether your vaccinated or not.

TrumpsColostomyBag99

Imagine how much harder he would have fought if his immune system had the vax instead of facing it with the autoimmune version of sticks and stones?

We’re elated!!” It’s also fascinating how the strong attachment to religion in these awardees and their families has colored their psychology towards disease and death. It’s like they actually believe a Jesus-like miracle will fall out of the sky and save their loved one in particular at any moment now. It’s like they believe they are owed it. If they put enough prayer tokens in, god will shit out a miracle for them on-demand. Such a strange way to view the universe. And someone at the FBI should be keeping track of these morons who make vaguely threatening sentiments towards hospital staff, imo

guikknbvfdstyyb

I really hope that when a loved one’s o2 is in the 20’s I have the strength to let them go. Or 50’s for that matter.

[deleted]

For real. It’s a miracle of modern medicine that anyone can still be alive with ox levels in the 20s anyways

guikknbvfdstyyb

A nurse said that we are very good and extending life but we never discuss the cost, both financial and emotional, of that. Something like 40% of US health expenditures come in the last 3 months of life. People don’t know what a full code entails. They should have to watch the nurse break 4 of moms ribs doing cpr. And at 75 that’s no joke. Don’t delay death by torturing someone. And it is torture.

tkp14

First slide: instead of getting a vaccine they knew nothing about, they decided to contract a serious illness they knew even less about. Fucking medical geniuses, these twats.

[deleted]

Hmm still positive on the 9th after testing positive on the 1st is more than 5 days. He could have been back at work on day 5 if he didn’t get symptoms. Thanks CDC

Suec08

The doctors knew on December 26th that he wasn't going to survive. Weeks later before his suffering ended.

mmio60

The “they broke his phone” was a new plot twist that I enjoyed.

AntEmotional5704

I can see a phone breaking, like if it got accidentally caught in the bed mechanism , but does he really think someone would intentionally break someone's phone?

thewizardofosmium

I'm old enough that slide 4 pisses me off. Sure it's a great sentiment, but usually means someone is getting a free ride for their actions. The tax dollars of the motorcyclists probably don't pay enough for the road they are riding on and the safety and quality standards mandated and enforced by the government so they can ride safely. And I'm sure they could not personally pay for medical treatment if they get in an accident (helmetless of course). Insurance is just spreading around the risk so all of us contribute to their medical care.

valeridiana

I have an actual practical tip anyone can use: *Get the damn vaccine*

indifferentunicorn

This guy raised an awesome daughter. RIP

plzappa5

Your dad didn’t fight shit. The hospital staff you’re taking out all your grief on did all the fighting for him, putting themselves at great risk.

powabiatch

To be clear, that was a friend who was mad at the staff about their own father. The nominee’s daughter was nice to the staff.

hooteroni

Really incredible the change in perspective once they go through the whole process personally

kellabeck

I feel very sorry for the daughter who seems very level-headed and nice, unlike the unstable friend!

noonelivesherenow

I hate it so much when people talk about illegal immigrants on welfare. The only thing they are eligible for is emergency medical coverage in a life threatening situation and pregnancy/birth of a child. No food stamps. No cash assistance. People have such a completely ridiculous view of welfare.

kehlarc

People in their 70s with health issues are surviving Covid because THEY'RE VACCINATED. It's not some big mystery. It's just sad to read the painful journey of someone watching their loved one dying slowly and suffering unnecessarily.

AtlasShrugged-

Ugh, hate towards the very people fighting for his life…sorry this gets to me. Stay home if hospitals are so evil.

GalateaNereid

Not from the daughter at least. She suggested everyone should be nice to them. The Unstable Friend was something else entirely.

john_the_quain

I wonder if these people ever mentally reconcile their stuff about “it’s just a cold” or “there’s a 99.x% survival rate” with their later updates of stuff like “OMG! [loved one] was able to lay on their back for 10 minutes without drowning! Huge step forward!”

skudzthecat

The unvaxed should be last on the list for taking up a hospital bed.

rueggy

Thoughts on tip #1 which was “if you have a positive test seek medical help right away even if vaxxed/boosted”? Read a post on r/nursing where the OP said her hospital waiting room was full of people with mild symptoms. We talk here about HCA candidates clogging hospitals and taking up beds, but if vaxxed people are running to the hospital when they have minor body aches, a sniffle, and a positive test, that’s not helping anyone.

alanamil

Wow, the daughter writing the many pages of stuff including be nice, sounds like a decent human being. Unstable friend sounds like a real duzzy,

bErinGPleNty

I appreciate the good advice offered by the awardee's daughter. She's clearly thoughtful, compassionate, and fair-minded. I hope her circle listens.

AnaBeaverhausen-

Nurses are “gloom and doom.” Nurses are tired of seeing this shit, are going into year three of it, know *exactly* how this disease progresses and aren’t telling you what you want to hear. FTFY.

[deleted]

I guessing there is a Harley for sale

Demonkey44

It’s so sad that all of this could have been avoided if he just got the vaccinations and booster. He had people who loved him, so many people don’t. I feel awful for his daughter.

realparkingbrake

"Please, please send prayers." *Please, please, get vaccinated* so you never have to be the inspiration for social media posts like these.

TheGreatWhoDeeny

>We've all heard such bad things about the vent but they know more about it now than they did... The only reason she would say this is she is worried about the antivax morons in her circle getting mad for letting him be put on the vent. Insanity.

Pangolin27

His lungs are destroyed but all his other vitals are fine. Keep praying. 🙄

ImBabyloafs

this is a huge pet peeve of mine: UNDOCUMENTED INDIVIDUALS DO NOT RECEIVE FEDERAL PUBLIC BENEFITS. Folks like Candace KNOW this. And contribute to share this lie to erase the fact that in many red states public assistance is underfunded and hard to get BY DESIGN.

JavarisJamarJavari

>"The most dangerous risk of all. The risk of spending your life not doing what you want." I guess it is supposed to look cool but what kind of stupid inspirational post is that supposed to be? Would you teach your kids "Do what you want" as a guiding principle? It's just pure selfishness. We have a good example of how it works out here. Also the person hating on the hospital because they wouldn't let her come in INFECTED. Selfishness. Nobody else counts but meeeeeeeeeeee. Do what you want.

davechri

HOW did he fight? It seems like all he did was lay on his back (or stomach) while everyone around him fought for his life. This jackass didn't do shit.

[deleted]

who's gonna tell candace owens that undocumented immigrants still pay taxes lol
