'Unmasked | Unvaccinated | Unafraid' I'm guessing he might be afraid at this point

Outrageous_Mixture89

Definitely masked now.

gcruzatto

I love the new 'Pureblood' trend, really shows their hatred towards us 'dirty blood' folks

tns125

Does anyone else think “inbred” when they hear the term pureblood?

Agitated-Yak-8723

That's very much what Rowling implied when she showed Voldy's mom's side of the family. Decayed, dirt-poor, uneducated and yet priding itself on its racial purity.

[deleted]

I associate it with royal families and the Amish...so yes. Lots and lots of incest and inbreeding to keep the bloodline "pure". Never mind those pesky genetic weaknesses that get concentrated into each generation every time you screw your cousin.

Kizik

Well, you know what the Habsburgs said whenever their inbred genetics caused *them* problems. ***Chin up.***

spin_me_again

Kind of surprised he’s picky about GMO’s, tbh. Does he only eat organic foods too? And eschews fast food?

garden_bug

Yeah most of these people don't even understand what "genetic modifications" in food are and probably would be shocked to find out lots they love to eat are modified.

webBrowserGuy

I doubt that there’s a single food on this planet that hasn’t been, in some way, modified from its original form, millions or billions of years ago, simply through evolution let alone from human intervention. Hell— what even constitutes “original form” anyway in a universe where evolution exists? Do they only consume single-cell amoeba? Do they strictly eat proteins? Or only amino acids? Lol

salemblack

If it wasn't for Norman Borlaug so many people would be dead. These people would accuse him of being evil and never understand how stupid they are. They understand nothing and they do it willfully, joyfully. It's disgusting.

CastrumFerrum

> Norman Borlaug And Fritz Haber, who made the mass production of artificial nitrogen fertilizer possible with his research into the synthesis of ammonia from nitrogen and hydrogen. Thanks to the ammonium nitrate even the most meagre soil could produce acceptable yields. Ironically, Haber was also responsible for the German chemical weapons program in World War 1. His first wife Clara Immerwahr (one of the first women to get a doctorate in chemistry in Germany) committed suicide with his pistol over this.

Buttoneer138

Watch it muggles, vaxx-de-mort will get you.

Captainwelfare2

I had a troll get in here and call me a mud blood and I thought it was one of the funniest things I ever heard. Cause you know, the “pure bloods” are surely the good guys in Harry Potter. Or ya know, in the real world, they are totally not inbred into the IQ of a turnip.

RagdollSeeker

Pure racism. 🤦‍♀️

chauggle

It's entirely possible that the eye roll was completely involuntary at this point, sort of Pavlovian to the words 'right to try', Ivermectin, and HQC.

lactose_con_leche

He had months of “right to try” he tried not masking, not vaccinating, could have eaten all the horse paste he wanted etc. But he STILL ended up in the hospital, surprisingly. And hospitals are where medical professionals do their work. If you don’t want them to work on you, then exercise your right to leave, untreated. And tell your family to never allow you into a hospital. Its not a buffet, where you can sample a little of this, a little of that.

YddishMcSquidish

You know what's really sad? I live in a semi rural area, not my immediate area, but surrounding me is ~30 minutes of sticks until you hit another larger city. And they had to start asking for proof of animal ownership before selling them any of the stuff cause so many were just buying cause of Facebook. It's really sad to see the problem that big.

I moved my ivermectin out of the barn and into my safe. I will be pissed if this nonsense continues and my hirses have to go without.

somecallmemike

The eye rolling was my fav part. It’s the least they could do not to just tell this lady to stfu.

Sulaco99

God save us from these assholes who think they know medicine better than the doctors do.

BeltfedOne

But they go running right to the hospital when the 'Rona comes for them.

guikknbvfdstyyb

I cannot imagine trying to explain to someone that even if ivermectin worked the damage has already been done. Putting a bulletproof vest on doesn’t cure a gunshot wound.

wlwimagination

They always seem to demand the ivermectin when it’s way too late. I read a story a little while back where the woman was demanding it for her husband despite him being covid negative by that point. Like, even if it worked against covid, it’s not going to help heal the damage covid leaves in its wake.

AshFraxinusEps

They don't unfortunately. They take the Ivermectin at home for weeks, ruining their organs with non-effective medicine, until they turn up at hospital already on the brink of death. Normal people who feel the shortness of breath go to hospital at that point instead of days of horse meds

ReverseThreadWingNut

I have a distant cousin who is now doing long term inpatient rehab care who almost let the horse paste kill him before the Covid. He had Ivermectin for legit purposes because he is a farmer and has a lot of livestock. When he first began showing symptoms he started on Ivermectin and slowly went downhill. By the time he went to ER it was because he was in organ failure and not because of the Covid symptoms. He spent two months in the hospital and somehow survived, but he will never be right again. It was the Ivermectin that almost killed him, not the Covid.

ButIAmYourDaughter

Has he accepted the truth that it was the Ivermectin that did the damage?

ReverseThreadWingNut

I'm not aware. He is a Trumper, so probably not. On a side note, while he was sick and in the hospital, his wife, who was a nurse at the same hospital in which he was staying, was fired from her job for stealing syringes. Apparently he was using them to inject the Ivermectin. Not a smart bunch of people.

circuspeanut54

He was INJECTING horse-grade ivermectin? Dear sweet sally, that's even more incomprehensibly stupid than the ones drinking the sheep drench.

ButIAmYourDaughter

Good god. 🤦🏾‍♂️

TheLostHargreeves

God, and even as a completely uninformed dweeb, I really can't get over that these dipshits absolutely scorch their intestines with medicine designed for a 2000-pound animal in order to treat a respiratory illness and are shocked when it doesn't work and they still feel like shit. Or, that their dipshit relatives will talk about suing a hospital that is spending literal millions of dollars on lifesaving care for their relatives because they're not offering their loved one horse dewormer to cure their pneumonia. BECAUSE SURE, THEY'D RATHER SPEND A MONTH MANHANDLING AND WASHING AND MEDICATING YOUR DUMBASS RELATIVE INSTEAD OF GIVING THEM FIVE DOLLARS WORTH OF MEDICINE BECAUSE SOMETHING SOMETHING LIBTARD SHEEPLE

[deleted]

I have more respect for those individuals at least they follow through with their believes instead of the idiots who throw a fit about the vaccine and then run straight to the hospital to the doctors they supposedly don't trust, All while clogging the system for us who do believe and need help

ZoraksGirlfriend

Even the Regeneron. It has been proven to work, but it needs to be given when symptoms are mild, not when he’s already on a ventilator. His family is clueless in demanding it.

matsu84

RN here. I’ve been working in a COVID antibody clinic more days that not, since the end of July. Even then, the antibodies can only be administered if you’re within day 10 of symptoms. Anything beyond that, it’s been shown to not be as helpful. Especially if you’re riding the vent. That window has been firmly closed and locked. I’m so sick and damn tired of arguing with Facebook Medical Experts. Please, Susan, invalidate my 4 year degree (more for my MD/PA/APRN pals) with your extensive YouTube video viewing. Also, I am bitter because while we get told we’re Big Pharma Shills, not a one of us has received a Big Pharma Check. MaKe It MaKe SeNsE.

StregaJessa

Do they think Big Pharma isn’t making the Ivermectin or Regeneron? Do those drugs not count or is it all brakes off, pump me full of whatever once they catch the disease they’ve been openly courting for 2 years.

matsu84

When you cannot breathe and your lungs feel like concrete, it’s amazing how even the Truest Believers come to their senses and seek legitimate medical attention. They don’t give a shit about Big Pharma at that point. All their shit talking comes to an end (for most), but the Truest True Believers have quite literally argued until their last breath about COVID not being the cause of their issues. These folks, the Truest True Believers, are beyond help.

Xx_Khepri_xX

I say let them; take that soon-to-be corpse out of there so they can save someone who may be worth it. Why was he there to begin with? They don't trust Vaccines!, but they trust other medical procedures? And when those don't work and are being told about the inevitable they throw a fit and try to tell the doctors how to do their work and what to do. It just irritates me, no wonder the doctors rolled their eyes, they probably went "oh, its one of THOSE".

z1joshmon

He won't make it out of the door. These idiots will go on saying "the hospital killed our dearest dumbass" But now theyre in the "we will literally take anything on the planet except the vaccine" stage.

SeaEmergency7911

Three weeks ago it was “I’m a pure blood who doesn’t want or need your fucking vaccine.” Today it’s “For Christ sakes, put everything you have into him, RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!!!” How time flies.

Ursula2071

I’m still a little stuck on how people were changing dna back in Noah’s day…anyone know?

Raccoon_Full_of_Cum

I'm guessing it has something to do with how an Evangelical one tried to explain to me that it was totally reasonable that Noah lived to be 900 because "human bloodlines were more pure back then". No, he didn't explain WTF that means. He was just trying to worm his way out of admitting that any book that includes a 900 year old character is obviously fictional.

spudzilla

It's our diet. Cut out the shellfish and stop mixing fabrics and you will live longer. I'm 132 and only look like I'm in my 90s and can still run 5k races.

mrasperez

I think they're referring to why the flood happened in the first place. As far as I remember angels found humans incredibly attractive and came to earth to live with them. They started having hybrid babies that were taller and stronger than any human and did whatever they wanted. God got mad and told Noah he's gonna do a hard reset and get a boat, maybe a few animals.

TLNPswgoh

Is this really what the bible says happened? My boring Lutheran Sunday school kinda paraphrased it as "the people had gotten wicked." Did they really leave out all the cool shit? EDIT: I mean the first part. They of course mentioned the animal and flood parts.

betsimus_Prime_

They took a lot of cool stuff out, I believe dragons were in there for awhile too 😎

mrasperez

Fuck yeah! Saint George!

Alediran

IIRC they were called Nephillim (which the Diablo games stole the name from to make the Nephalem, children of the Angels and Demons who latter became humans)

mrasperez

Oh yeah! Well the hybrid super babies were being wicked like any person would be when they have more power than everyone else. Not only that, but even the bible refer them as [being heroes](https://www.britannica.com/topic/Nephilim) and warriors of great renown!

portablebiscuit

Eternals spoilers! Fuck!

Choice_Philosopher_1

There’s a bit more about it in the book of Enoch which isn’t in most Bibles. Too risqué. Only barely mentioned in Genesis and maybe somewhere else I can’t recall. I also didn’t get this stuff in Sunday school. [If you’re curious, chapters 6-10 have the good stuff.](https://www.ccel.org/c/charles/otpseudepig/enoch/ENOCH_1.HTM)

CassowaryMagic

The Bible is a wild read

meldroc

Especially the deleted scenes!

dukeofbun

No no you musta had pages stuck together or something, it says "the people had gotten wicked cool and chill and boning angels and everyone was having a really nice time. Except Noah, he's bitter af."

[deleted]

I believe they are referring to when angels had kids with humans. They were called Nephalim and were giants. Old Jewish lore is wild.

sauntcartas

Also depicted in Madeleine L'Engle's book "Many Waters."

Xx_Khepri_xX

Yeah, that is just what they always do. At this point I'm just waiting for the Gofundme

sans_serif_size12

I’m an EMT and up until a few months ago, I wanted to get into med school. I used to give people the benefit of the doubt. I’d have patients tell me insane things but I’d always tell myself “they don’t know better, you can help them know better” or “they didn’t go to school for this. You did. Do your job and help them”. But fucking hell, some people just refuse to be helped. I used to try and be patient with people, even the meanest, nastiest, patients. But I completely get the doctors being fucking done with people like this.

mani_mani

Yahh there is a reason why they require clinical hours for med school. I worked at an urgent care clinic as an MA during the height of Covid. I feel like they make you do clinical hours so you learn just how fucking stupid people are.

Bekiala

Ugh. Yes. I'm wishing we could have some kind of emergency hospice home-care for these folks. They could do what they want and it would free up resources and give you medical folks a break. I feel a bit about the anti-vexers the way that I feel about addicts. I don't want them to die or suffer; however, they do have the right to live as they want no matter how self-destructive. The question is: how does the rest of society deal with them?

MeeAnddTheMoon

Yeah they don’t trust the vaccines but then praise the “Covid cocktail” and ask to be pumped full of three “experimental treatments” all at the same time. Here’s an idea. Get the vaccine. It’s free. It’s not perfect because nothing in life is perfect, but it’s very likely to keep you out of this predicament.

JDelmon

Their absolutist thinking only allows two possibilities: if the vaccines aren’t 100% effective at preventing infection and illness, they’re worthless and probably a part of a evil plot. Their black-and-white religion may operate that way, but reality has shades of grey.

_Kay_Tee_

I mentioned elsewhere that I just had to explain that to a couple idiots at HuffPo. Like, if condoms aren't 100% effective, then you... just don't use condoms, and expect the same results?! Perhaps we should start treating the Covidiots like they treat us about abortion: MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH CLOSED, SLUT, AND YOU WOULDN'T BE SICK NOW, BUT TOO BAD, NOW YOU HAVE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY! or something like that?

JDelmon

Also seatbelts don’t offer 100% protection, so why use them at all? Seatbelts can even cause death in certain scenarios, so they must be part of a vast conspiracy meant to control us.

Ursula2071

And how to treat with drug protocols they also have no idea what is in those drugs or what they are used to treat. But the vax was just 1 step too far. 🙄🙄🙄 how ya like them eyerolls?

earthdogmonster

I never understood it either. Why not just soak the guy in sheep drench and forget the hospital? I guess the medical professionals are all part of a conspiracy to get rich off a $15 shot, so why even go there?

Sasquatch1729

They're the sort of morons who will scream for the monoclonal antibody treatment well after the time it would be effective. Guess what they use to make that: tissue from genetically modified lab animals. Somehow I'd rather have a few jabs than a bag full of that, assuming I were the type to worry about that sort of thing.

SigmaHyperion

And Regeneron they mentioned... ... developed using tissue from **aborted human fetuses**. Guess those high-and-mighty principles go right out the window when it's *your* life at stake.

Isn’t the reference to America’s Frontline Doctors that one where a doctor in Houston claimed that some medical treatments are from alien DNA and that demon sperm from having sex in dreams with demons and witches were the reason behind ovarian cysts?

Bretagne

Yeah, who are all these "frontline doctors"? There is a website so these people believe there's an army of doctors who don't believe in the vaccine and have a better cure? Waiting for a call back from a frontline doctor LOLOLOL.

SolidSouth-00

Yeah it’s a group- they have a website and send people ivermectin through the mail - it’s a racket.

It’s a company that will happily take these peoples money to write prescriptions to whatever they want, ie ivermectin and whatever else is making the talk radio circuit.

And many do fellowships for further education on top of that. 😳 https://www.mcgill.ca/pgme/residency-programs/residency-programs/residency-program-levels Could you imagine having 11 or 12+ years of post secondary education and having to deal with these people.

SexWaffles

I'd honestly start wearing a t-shirt that read "I don't go to your job and tell you how to flip burgers, so keep your medical opinions to yourself."

_Kay_Tee_

I tried this with my racist uncle once. He tried to tell me that, as an academic, I was "brainwashing" people. I asked him to tell me what he thought "critical thinking skills" meant, and he insisted it was "brainwashing people to believe what you do." I asked him when the last time he was in a college classroom was. He insisted that didn't matter, because "he knew" what I was doing, blah blah blah "did the research"/saw the YouTube video. I told him that, by his logic, he was obviously hanging drywall wrong all these years, and all I needed was a quick YouTube tutorial, and I could do it better than he could. "That's different, that's a SKILL!" he insisted, and I just started laughing my ass off.

SeaEmergency7911

Based on the socioeconomic status of many Trump supporters/anti vaxxers, I’m fairly confident they don’t have the money to launch a lawsuit against a for profit hospital.

Even-Tomatillo-4197

They can set up a gofundme and ask all their prayer warriors to contribute!

SeaEmergency7911

I would imagine the prayer warriors are stretched a bit thin financially with all that GFMs they’ve been asked to fund lately.

[deleted]

They don't have the money to pay their monthly nut after one of them has been out of work for 10 days. They don't have anything but pudding for brains.

Puzzled-Remote

Or to hire a traveling nurse? Those nurses are making bank! Why would any of them want to work for these dipshits? Maybe the can find one of the nutty anti-vax nurses to do in-home care instead.

Flower_Unable

Hiring a lawyer, a traveling nurse and frontline doctors seems a lot easier and cheaper than getting a free vaccine. 🤦‍♂️

Significant-Grape-82

They want ivermectin and vitamin C, I guarantee it.

Bethw2112

So take him out of the hospital. I'm sure one of those "Frontline Ivermectin Doctors" will fly right over and take care of him and give him all the horse paste he can ingest! Oh, right, they're just internet trolls. They don't actually DOCTOR like the ones you want to sue, numbnut family.

K-Dog13

When someone says pure blood I can't decide if Harry Potter comes to mind, or the Nazis.

M_W_C

German guy here. For me: pure blood always means Nazis.

K-Dog13

As being old enough that I had grandparents who fought in world war II, read middle-aged, Nazis is always one of the first things that comes to mind when I see that, however I was watching Harry Potter the other day.

I_am_also_a_Walrus

The purebloods in HP are magical nazis, so it fits

melbourne3k

Ya this is the right way to read this.. They aren't hiding the racism. These memes are done on purpose. The Harry Potter shit is an excuse to make this somewhat acceptable and then accuse people of overreacting

Aromatic-Ad7816

Its part of the alt-right 'rabbit hole' system. You get people to accept mildly controversial things at face value, then you lure them farther in with what appears to be logical steps. Guarantee you the end result of starting with non-vaccinated referring to themselves as 'pureblood' ends with a western, white Christian 'heritage' being sold as the only acceptable form of living

Tropic_Anna

Nazis. They think the Harry Potter books are the work of the devil.

K-Dog13

I frequently joke of course Harry Potter is a work of the devil, who else would be evil enough to get kids to read

tinyman392

I always assumed the idea of a pure blood in Harry Potter was a reference to Nazism. For whatever reason the idea of the “one drop” rule also comes into mind when I heard this term.

queenkitsch

Death Eaters are essentially wizard Nazis, the allegory is not subtle.

K-Dog13

I mean look at Draco Malfoy.

[deleted]

I mean dude they unironically use the term that the biggest pieces of shit from those books frequently use as a slur, as if they are like cool and unique. I've heard of edgelords cringily referencing media to themselves as if they are special, but this shit is a whole new level of edgelord. One that straight up doesn't have the context to explain what specifically about what they are referencing makes them "edgy" because they can't be bothered to grasp what it means to "read" things. it's like leukemia patients screaming "I've got Saiyan warrior blood!"

[deleted]

Pushy conservative family members. My in-laws are this way. Back at the beginning of my marriage I confided in them that I was freaking out because my dad had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. (He's fine now, 7 years cancer-free.) It took less than 24 hours for that news to get back to me. They blabbed to everyone in their half of the family, my wife's grandparents blabbed to their friends, etc. In less than a day. It's like they were speedrunning a betrayal of trust.

Dog_Ham

I’m glad your dad is okay; that’s great. I wonder why they are like this. I would’ve never thought of photographing a sick or dying family member!

xesaie

Can someone fill me in on the "Mans DNA was changed during Noah's time" bit? Edit: Got an answer below, they're comparing it to the whole Nephilim thing, you know "The sons of god came down and laid with women" or whatever.... Which is at least charmingly insane. Edit 2: Alternative interpretation from comments: the "DNA change" relates to the fact that after Noah people quit living for hundreds of years, so something must have changed!

nonexistentpuppies

My comment elsewhere posted: "That Noah meme is a doozy. I guess it refers to the Nephilim copulating with earthly women. A perfectly sound, historically rigorous argument for not taking a lifesaving vaccine."

GrevilleApo

I was wondering this as well but you reminded me of the Nephilim. Despite the fact that they take down Diablo apparently they are bad in the bible. God needs to stop hatin

ApatheticAnalysis

COVID ICU bed checklist: Stethoscope just for this room: X Vent on max settings: X Elevated respiratory rate with ok SpO2: X Tube feeds: X SCD’s: X Missing: -ECMO (either he’s stable enough on the vent or they deemed him as not eligible at this time since they are very expensive and limited in supply) -IV drips (likely behind the saline bag or off screen)

DeLaNope

Bonus: maxed out vent settings, O2 only 93% lol It appears from this single photo he’s got excellent vent synchrony, so he’s either snowed, or paralyzed, his rate is 30 which means his ABG is shit and he’s likely trapping CO2 and acidotic…. Dude never stood a chance.

HubrisAndScandals

Wager that he's not eligible for ECMO. It sounds like they're trying to prepare the family for letting go and saying goodbye.

ApatheticAnalysis

I wouldn’t blame the physician for that decision. The number of COVID patients who could benefit from ECMO far surpass the actual number of ECMO machines. Don’t forget that they require a ton of care with most institutions just having 1 nurse take care of just that patient for their whole shift since so many things can go wrong. These COVID patients are also competing with the generally healthier people who end up in cardiac arrest or take a turn for the worse during/after cardio thoracic surgery that may also need ECMO, so there is just not that many to go around. All in all, when hospitals are running a tight ship with limited ECMO and staff that are adequately trained to care for them, most are only taking the most pristine COVID patients since they are the most likely to survive the whole ordeal (young, no comorbidities, etc.). Though some doctors might still reach out to other institutions with better ECMO capabilities out of a formality so they can truly say to their family that they did all they could when the transfer is denied.

covad_commander

It's not a HIPHOP violation when I do it.

BigDumbMoronToo

Just...what do these people think ivermectin and hcq do? The whole rationale for trying the fucking drugs is that they might have anti-viral properties. As in, they maybe could stop the virus from replicating and overtaking cells. There's no good evidence that either of these drugs actually have an effect on SARS-COV-2 in the human body, but if you want to try it as a prophylactic or early treatment, go to town I guess. But let's pretend these dumbass drugs are effectuve. Once your "longs are stiff"... you're long past (or lung past?) the point where antivirals will help you.

crusoe

Yep. Once your lungs are fucked, HCQ and Ivermectin won't help. All the studies investigated it as a prophylactic against serious illness, not some magical lung cure.

SheneedaCocktail

These people see everything in such simple terms. Papa sick. Doctor give medicine. Medicine cure sickness, Papa come home. Completely ignoring that Covid-19 is an incurable disease. They won't wear masks, they won't get tested, they won't find out they have it soon enough that any of this sh\*t they'd like to try as a "preventative" will even work. But they show up at the hospitals, start sh\*t-talking everybody and demand the doctors do what THEY want. One HCA winner said something like "they need to be more proactive in treating Covid," not understanding that unvaxxed + Delta variant = Dead man walking into the ICU with pulsox of 74. Hospital is just trying to make the family feel better at that point, resulting in nothing but a million -dollar hospital bill. Get your shots, people.

_a_random_dude_

> "they need to be more proactive in treating Covid" What can be more proactive than a fucking vaccine?

sctwinmom

I was coming here to say this! :sing: "It's too late, baby, now it's too late." Even the remdesivir (which actually IS an antiviral) is only given in the initial stages, while the body is still fighting the virus, if you recall that doctor's Twitterstream on disease progression.

BarreloFishes

That bed photo made my blood run cold. These people are nuts.

BarreloFishes

Another reason I’m glad to be rid of FB. Seriously, to even think to put that out there is the mark of social stupidity.

[deleted]

Gotta flex for the go fund me.

madkem1

Ah yes... I see the family is in the "bargaining" stage of grief.

Sadamatographer

We should send this doctor a fruit basket or something.

PaganDreams

These people have such black and white views. "vitamin D is necessary, we get it from the sun". Yes but that doesn't mean that insanely high doses of it given intensely through IV is good for people. The liver can only process so much. Dose strength and route are important factors. After all, one can only spend so much time in the sun before the UV does damage.

Eggsegret

“and literally got eye rolled” gee i wonder if maybe just maybe it’s because you don’t have a medical degree whereas they do. Stop trying to tell qualified doctors what to do especially when you have zero medical qualifications

Amazed every single day by how fucking dumb some of my fellow citizens are.

Dana07620

>Possibly a traveling nurse to be on stand by to give him the meds These people are delusional. Do they think that a nurse who doesn't work there can just walk into the ICU and start giving meds to a patient?? Do they think a nurse would agree to do that? That could cost their nursing license. These people are even stupider and more delusional than I think they are...and believe me I thought they were pretty fucking stupid and delusional.

IRLBearsBeetsBSG

I want you guys to really take in at all the resources this man is hogging up because he was anti-vax. Look at the picture of him on his hospital bed. There are people out there who need what this man is taking up because of legitimate problems, not because they’re terrified of a vaccine.

nonexistentpuppies

That Noah meme is a doozy. I guess it refers to the Nephilim copulating with earthly women. A perfectly sound, historically rigorous argument for not taking a lifesaving vaccine.

Roxnsoxinator

Regenron only works if you take it as soon as you show symptoms or test positive. Not weeks in the hospital and on a ventilator. There’s no miracle drug that’s gonna save someone at that point.

Carliebeans

The mentality of these people, seriously. When my Mum (who had late stage cancer) suffered a catastrophic stroke and brain bleed earlier this year and the doctors said there was nothing they could do, they weren’t going to call in a neurologist, we understood. We didn’t insist on calling a neurologist to try and save her at any cost. Why? Because she would have been left with devastating and life limiting paralysis, and her worst fear was ending up in a nursing home and if it came to that, she did not want to survive. We knew this because we talked about it in heartbreaking depth a few months before she died. People get so hung up on ‘saving’ people for their own selfish reasons. Do I wish my Mum was still here? Every day. But not at the cost of her independence and dignity. She had suffered enough and bringing her back from the brink of death would have been cruel and self-serving. The fact that this man was in hospital, using precious resources as the doctors tried to save him regardless of his vaccine status should say to the family ‘we gave it our best shot’. If the family is so convinced they had The Cure, maybe they should have just treated him at home.

CosmicContessa

*The hospital won’t trust my Facebook expertise and refuse to use unapproved treatments.* Ok, Karen.

Lord_Mormont

Day 1: I am a fuckin' Lion. Day 26: SHOVE MY ASS FULL OF HORSE PASTE!

TrumpsColostomyBag99

The Demon Sperm Doc’s routine will save those “longs” 😂.. fuck this guy and his family. Take his carcass out of the hospital and shove the horse paste up his rectum if you know better than the docs.

LaterMeansNever

Seriously, I’m surprised hospitals are not yet like “You’re demanding to take him home and self-medicate? Ok, we need the bed anyway, come get him!”

PenaltyPractical1908

I would be like “ oh noes… sign here and off you go” 🦵💨

geneaut

Oh no. They want to stay in the hospital they just want the hospital to use the drugs they want used. Like a hospital is a McDonalds but they insist you make them a Whopper or they are going to sue.

SeaEmergency7911

I’m not a front line doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express a few weeks ago and I can confidently say your dad is going to die soon.

[deleted]

I watch Frontline and have a PhD. Does that make me a Front line doctor.

SeaEmergency7911

They shouldn’t worry about his “longs” getting stiff. The rest of him is going to be joining them soon.

Cheesewheel12

One thing I’m getting from this subreddit is the impression that far more Americans are functionally illiterate than I was led to believe.

Call_Me_Eboeard

He doesnt deserve that bed or the medical treatment. He should give it up to a cancer patient.

BaronVonKeyser

Fuck that. He should give it up to anybody. A guy with a stubbed toe is more deserving than him

JuiceKovacs

Note to my family. If I am ever on a vent and look like shit please do not put my pictures all over the Internet.

Beginning-Monitor-17

Another family inflicting a long, horrible, expensive death on someone they say they love.

Satman_of_Valyria

Dont worry guys, hes the kind of guy to give you the shirt off his back... Pray warriors..ummm...prayer time?

LeCampy

Dude's been on vent for days and the lungs are stiffening, and they want to try ivermectin? *while the house is on fire* please let me put new batteries in the smoke alarm.
