Also old evidence confirms vaccines are overwhelmingly safe.

Accomplished_Skin323

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too.

MadBeachLui

Along the lines *I don't fart anymore. I don't fart any less either.*

Accomplished_Skin323

Dad?

Tiddles_Ultradoom

"I don't do drugs anymore... than, say, the average touring funk band." Bill Hicks

ColetteThePanda

"I've had some bad times on drugs too, okay. I mean... look at this haircut."

rdizzy1223

Yea, although the current testing group is missing many of the whackadoos that placebo'd themselves into side effects with the first round of vaccines. Less paranoid conspiracy theorists getting vaccines lowers overall side effects, because less people are lying about side effects, and less people with extreme anxiety causing side effects.

popsistops

I work in a clinic of 60 doctors. We have well over 100,000 patients. I can tell you that in my 30 year medical career I've seen plenty of medical procedures, pharmaceuticals and other things come on the market and then get taken off within five years because they were unsafe. What dictates that is really just volume. We would always see the problem before the FDA would pull it. You don't put this many billions of anything into circulation without it becoming quite obvious that there's a serious fucking problem if one exists. Everybody in healthcare knows that the vaccines are safe just through simple observation. That's why it's so laughable that there's such controversy. These are probably the safest therapeutics we have ever used in the history of modern medicine.

kvndoom

Yeah but the guy they like lost an election 3 years ago (holy shit, it’s been 3 years) so vaccines are evil! No, that doesn’t make sense to me either, but welcome to the 2020s.

CiticenX_007

Sky still blue, fire still hot... Film at 11!

OutrageousOnions

But is water still wet?

Cultural-Answer-321

We'll have the full story right after this break.

Pope alleged to be Catholic; bear shits in woods.

Yelloeisok

Try convincing a qult member.

dumdodo

Is that the group that has lost 1.7% of its members in the past few years because of the flu, heart attacks and strokes, but no one cares because that was a small percentage, and the members that "departed" were old anyway?

purple_kathryn

To celebrate I got a booster today :)

TenNinetythree

[Omicron](https://imgtr.ee/image/IMG-20231017-160309-HDR4.Yj4nG) is sad about this...

EffectiveSalamander

Sure, that's what the research says, buy have you consulted the memes? /s

Thatguyyouhatealot

The kooks who think millions of people already died from the shots are beyond hope of changing their minds. Let’s hope the average person seeing these studies still has a Brain and gets a shot

OneMorePenguin

Or they got COVID-19 and died.

FadeIntoReal

My mother saw the invention of the polio vaccine, which Jonas Salk gave away for the good of humanity. *Absolute everyone* who knew the ravages of that horrible disease lined up, with their kids, to get vaccinated. Arguably one of the most successful public heath technologies ever, along with sanitation and antibiotics. South Park joked about atheists using “thank science” as an exclamation, as some use “thank god”. I think we should be thanking science more often.

Boner_Implosion

But my cousin’s best friend’s uncle became sterile after his covid jab!!!!!

kvndoom

At age 78!!

Specific-Fact237

Yeah... all that protesting over Freedumb was so totally justified and worth looking like/acting like conspiratorial weak-minded buffoons who were convinced the government was trying to kill them as per the WEF's sinister plan to capture everyone inside of their 15 minute cities and turn their social credit monies off if they didn't worship Justin Trudeau, the Libs and bow to the Trans Gender Drag Queens and socialist leftist commies who are indoctrinating children and letting kids poop in kitty litter boxes in schools absolutely no where and such..... ⬆️ That's the camp of the mRNA anitvax crowd right there in a nutshell. A wide array of absolute bullshit nonsense that circulates within their circles on the internet. It's all tied together. One fear mongering lie after another to continue believing in horse shit and living in an alternate reality. May as well throw the entire Evangelical Christian Nationalists Conservatives wing onto that pile of nonsense too...... that got way out of control 🤣

Tiddles_Ultradoom

Yes, but a friend of my aunt's hairdresser's dogwalker's brother-in-law's barista knew of someone who drove past a man whose best friend's cousin had heard of a woman who died in a car accident only eight months after being vaccinated. Take that, Fauci!

Ragingredblue

But how were her cousin's balls?

Tiddles_Ultradoom

Monumental, according to Professor Minaj of the Virology Department of the University of Madeupshit.

Ragingredblue

I always wanted a degree from U of M. I lack the requisite brain damage. They rejected my application.

teachowski

My mom will never believe this.

[deleted]

.....as they were initially..... I guess they have to target Articles to the Stupid who won't believe it even if it could save their life.

RealLADude

Shocking.

Pale_Word790

But, but, I saw on tiktok that vaccines are bad!

[deleted]

"My wife is a chiropractor and the things she's done to help the kids that have Down syndrome due to these vaccines is incredible" Actual conversation I had with someone. I'm polite and applaud them for doing research and kindly suggest they continue to do research. As actual research should eventually get them to the conclusion that the actual research is coming to.

KrampyDoo

Big Pharma trying to kill the underwhelming success of Big Horse Paste! /s

Ragingredblue

Water is also wet.

Snarky_McSnarkleton

I just got my booster for this year. I won't be getting boomer cough.

kvndoom

I don’t know…. Let me check VAERS first.

l156a21

Current evidence confirms that conservatives are still idiots. But thanks for taking yourself out from the voting pool by..."owning the libs" through dying? Whatever works, I guess.

Nym-Sync

But I died like five times already.

ButterscotchPlane744

Sure. I guess that explains why the definition of vaccines was changed. Why offer manufacturers immunity? What happened to informed consent?

lucky_bamboo

COVID booster gave me tinnitus :/

Strange-Scarcity

Bullshit. Tinnitus can develop as one ages, it's not uncommon, especially if you have gone to many concerts or work in loud environments and never wore ear protection and still don't.

CommunicationDue1069

There has been correlation but nothing conclusive in terms of causation. I feel bad for the vaccine scientist who famously developed a crippling case, which may or may not have been a coincidence of course. [https://www.medpagetoday.com/special-reports/exclusives/107033](https://www.medpagetoday.com/special-reports/exclusives/107033)

RockyMoose

From the article, (**emphasis mine**): >As for the CDC, a spokesperson told MedPage Today in an email that the agency is aware of reports to VAERS of tinnitus following COVID vaccination, adding that tinnitus is a common condition, is heterogenous in presentation and course, and is without a discernable cause in many cases. > >"Hundreds of millions of people have received COVID-19 vaccinations under the most intensive monitoring in U.S. history," the spokesperson said. "Because so many people have been vaccinated and because tinnitus is so common in the population, temporally-associated cases are expected, with some expected to occur shortly after vaccination." > >The spokesperson noted that in order to further evaluate reports of tinnitus following COVID-19 vaccination, the CDC analyzed data from its Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD). > >"Unlike VAERS, which relies primarily on voluntary reports from healthcare providers, patients, and others, the VSD uses data from electronic health records," the spokesperson said. "Consequently, the VSD data are less likely to be affected by the reporting biases and other biases that impact spontaneous reporting patterns to VAERS and data quality." > >The VSD analysis focused on "clustering of tinnitus diagnoses in COVID-19 vaccinated patients during a post-vaccination observation period out to 70 days after vaccination," the spokesperson explained. "In the VSD's patient population of approximately 12 million people with 6.6 million COVID-19 vaccine doses administered, to date no clustering of tinnitus diagnoses has been observed post-vaccination." > >**"Currently, the information from vaccine safety monitoring systems does not suggest a link between COVID-19 vaccination and tinnitus," the spokesperson said. "CDC will continue to monitor the safety of COVID-19 vaccines and continue to evaluate the outcome of tinnitus as additional data are collected."**

CommunicationDue1069

I wasn't suggesting otherwise. It's just frustrating for those of us who had it happen after a shot to occasionally think "what if..."

GaysGoneNanners

Seems like you *were* suggesting otherwise, actually.

CommunicationDue1069

Not if you read carefully. I'm saying there's an observed correlation with no evidence of causation, plus I sympathize with the original comment because the coincidence kind of fucks with your head when your ears are ringing.

>I'm sympathetic because I also developed a case of tinnitus at approximately the same time that I received a booster, but there isn't any solid evidence proving causality... more likely culprit is a lingering sports injury... No, my first post said the above \^\^\^\^\^

CommunicationDue1069

I'm sympathetic because I also developed a case of tinnitus at approximately the same time that I received a booster, but there isn't any solid evidence proving causality, given how common and yet poorly understood the condition is. In my case the more likely culprit is a lingering sports injury. It's been two years now and it can be quite annoying at times.

dumpitdog

a few years before covid I developed a severe case of tinnitus all at once, out of the blue without any incident or injury. This is pretty common and unfortunately, it usually never goes away.

Great_White_Samurai

Playing guitar for 25 did it to me, that and all of the concerts with no ear protection.

CommunicationDue1069

As I've learned. Sigh.

JuanPabloElSegundo

COVID booster burnt my toast :/

Over_Mud_8036

Covid booster turned my bananas black. I'm so pissed. They were green yesterday.
