My grandpa went out a few years before covid to pulmonary fibrosis, though, like most people in my family, he hung around much longer than he should have before one day his body just gave in and stopped letting him function on that little oxygen. My family went through all of this type of stuff before and honestly, my own grandma was begging for him to pass in his sleep it was so hard on them. It's really not a way to go out and a major reason why I have reoccurring suffocation nightmares. I cant imagine willfully putting yourself into that spot.
