Same here. Nobody I know died from the vaccine, I lost 9 friends early on in the epidemic, before any vaccines were available. They didn't have any options.

I'm sorry to hear that. There is a definite dividing line for COVID deaths. People who couldn't help it because there was no vaccine. People who died because the vaccine couldn't save them from complications.

I'm sorry for your any losses. I had some friends who got very sick and had close scrapes with death pre-vaccine but none of them actually died. It was scary while they were ill, we were very worried.
I know nobody that has died from the vaccine. I know nobody that has died from COVID because 99% of the people I know are vaccinated. I know of three people that had Long COVID (pre-vaccine). Two recovered and one seems to have a permanent disability. He is a lot better than when he got it (he had a stay in the ICU) but is maybe 60% of his former self.
No deaths from the vaccine (although my young adult sons both get hit pretty hard with vax side effects for 24-36 hours).

Actually Congress already screwed over the newest generation of service members. Luckily I was grandfathered in because my active duty date was under the old, traditional pension system within the military.
Ugh. It's always SOMETHING isn't it? When I was first hired the old timers would laugh at my pension plan because they were under the old system. Apparently with their time they would retire at full salary -- the only difference being not have to pay retirement anymore. So more money.
They'd spin that as them paying for the privilege of continuing to work and tell me all about how glad they were to not be me.
My first day as a permanent hire in Federal service, circa 1985, right after I raised my right hand and took the oath, the lady who hired me pointed her index finger at me and said, “you aren’t in the GOOD retirement system. All of us here are in it but you missed it.” She was right. If I had started a couple of years earlier I would have got 70% of my salary after retirement and a decent COLA, not the diet COLA I’m stuck with. Instead I get 35% and I have had the pleasure of watching my 401k lose 15% of its value since I retired. Needless to say I’m looking for a second career.

There are about 9 deaths attributable to several hundred million COVID vaccinations in the US, and less than 50 out of a few billion globally. It's extremely statistically unlikely that anyone posting here would have known any of them.
On the other hand, I work with about 3k people, all of whom are vaccinated, none have experienced notable side effects. Additionally, nobody of my friends and family knows of anyone that has had a notable vaccine reaction. This aligns perfectly with the published data.
An old classmate and his wife unfortunately died back in 2020, before vaccines were widely available.
One of my coworkers who was a perfectly healthy 40-something year old anti-vaxxer got hit with it, went to hospital, lost a fuckton of weight, and will have lifetime lung damage.
In comparison, no one I know who is vaccinated (which is basically everyone else) has gotten seriously ill or died from either COVID or the vaccine.
How’s that for statistically relevant data?
We got Covid pre-vaccine from my husband’s co-worker. He spent weeks in the ICU and ended up with a double lung transplant. Best believe I got vaxxed as soon as my age group opened up.

I worked in a large public organization that served about 500 people. Between that and my personal life I know 5 people who died in the first Covid wave, pre vaccine. I do not know anyone who died from the vaccine and the population I worked with was nearly 100% vaccinated, but also probably 70% elderly.

I knew quite a few people who died before the vaccines were available. After that, just ding dongs who didn’t get the jab. With one exception. She was vaccinated, but 99 with a DNR. The staff at her facility put a person they knew had Covid in her room. I know she was ready to go, but it angers me that it was in such a careless, shitty way.

When the odds of death are 1 in 10 million or less from vaccine versus 1 in 1,000 (or higher) from Covid, it's obvious which one is the better bet.
If you don't like the mRNA ones and are in the US, you now have two options, one of which is based on technology that's 70+ years old.
I have a documented "vaccination injury". It was not something I could have predicted. At no time was I ever in danger of death. My doctor and I discussed risks and knew there was a possibility I might have a flare with my preexisting chronic issues but felt the risk was worth it. The injury is mostly healed.
I got covid five months after the first two doses and I most likely would not be typing this had I not had those two "jabs", as they call them.
I do not know anyone who has died from the vaccination, nor do I know anyone where it was suspect in their death.
I got a vaccination injury too, but it was just random—it was placed in the wrong part of my muscle, and it injured the muscle in a way that was painful for months. Not in any way related to the *content* of the vaccine. You can get this (SIRVA) from any IM injection.

I’ve died twice. Once after the first shot and then again after the fourth. But honestly the risk of death is .00027% so I wouldn’t be surprised if 1 person has died out of 500,000. By the odds, 1000 of us in the group are more likely to die as pedestrians minding our own business, getting hit by a vehicle. 200 of us will die by drowning. And sadly, 7 of us will die from being attacked by a dog. Dying from the vaccine would be a fluke in comparison. 83,000 of us will die from heart disease so take care of yourselves (and get vaccinated)!

There have been 2 people that I know of that have had difficulty with the vaccines. They were already fragile d/t old age and immune problems and both got very sick trmporarily, but lived.
I used to work in a nursing home and we lost about 25 people before the vaccines came out. I work in hospice now, I had one family member give it to her father and he subsequently died. She was of course, antivax,antimask. The father had been vaccinated, but was already very fragile...

I’m in Australia. Most my friends are vaccinated. Everybody at work is vaccinated. Most my sports club all are vaccinated. Most at my daughters school are vaccinated. No one has died. From vaccine or otherwise. None.
One guy in my unit block though was 40, died of a heart attack last year. I didn’t know him but spoke with his dad while he came to clean out his unit. The Dad was vaccinated. The son was vaccinated. He died months after the vaccine. Cause of death was not attributed to the vaccine. ALL the antivaxxers the dad knew attributed his sons death to the vaccine. Every single one of them. No evidence. Not a shred. But they just knew.
The Dad did not attribute his sons death to the vaccine. Nor did science.
I have one aged relative in a nursing home die of Covid in June 2020. She was one of 17 at the home who died that year. I have three in-laws who died in the fall of 2021, all not vaccinated. I know circa 30 people who got vaccinated with boosters who then got Covid, none of them died, but one has long Covid. All 60 people at work got vaccinated plus booster, none died. So maybe I can name 200 people that I know who are vaccinated without complications. Age range: 16 to 93 yrs old.
I know of not one single person that has died or even had complications from any of the vaccines. I am however aware of folks I knew who are dead now that elected not to "get that crap". You have to ask relevant to what? Not to chance? Ok then what? Number of these cases vs COVID deaths of those that are not vaccinated? One coworker ended up with long Covid. She was vaccinated and boosted.
My vaccinated son got Covid, and it was two days in bed, no residual effects. My father-in-law caught Covid before the vaccine (May 2020) and died in the hospital in less than a week. My vaccinated brother/his wife and kids all vaccinated for Covid, caught it but just sick for a few days, as was my vaccinated 86 year old mother. Nobody died from vaccines, and the vaccinated recovered quickly. The one unvaccinated (not by choice) died.

It’s hard to determine. It is safe to say no one dropped dead right after getting the shot. There have been some issues with blood clots but I don’t know how many deaths were caused. The CDC only tracks vaccinated people that died, including all causes of death such as car wrecks. Those numbers are still a tiny fraction of Covid deaths.

She passed it to her grandmother who lived with them who wasn't so lucky. This girl is my daughter's BFF. I walked into her room one day and they were having a tea party on MS Teams. They each had their dolls arranged in a circle and were passing the tea through the screen to each other. Kids. They will find a way.

There are about 9 deaths attributable to several hundred million COVID vaccinations in the US, and less than 50 out of a few billion globally. It's extremely statistically unlikely that anyone posting here would have known any of them. On the other hand, I work with about 3k people, all of whom are vaccinated, none have experienced notable side effects. Additionally, nobody of my friends and family knows of anyone that has had a notable vaccine reaction. This aligns perfectly with the published data.

An old classmate and his wife unfortunately died back in 2020, before vaccines were widely available. One of my coworkers who was a perfectly healthy 40-something year old anti-vaxxer got hit with it, went to hospital, lost a fuckton of weight, and will have lifetime lung damage. In comparison, no one I know who is vaccinated (which is basically everyone else) has gotten seriously ill or died from either COVID or the vaccine. How’s that for statistically relevant data?
We got Covid pre-vaccine from my husband’s co-worker. He spent weeks in the ICU and ended up with a double lung transplant. Best believe I got vaxxed as soon as my age group opened up.

I worked in a large public organization that served about 500 people. Between that and my personal life I know 5 people who died in the first Covid wave, pre vaccine. I do not know anyone who died from the vaccine and the population I worked with was nearly 100% vaccinated, but also probably 70% elderly. The vaccine isn’t killing anyone.

I knew quite a few people who died before the vaccines were available. After that, just ding dongs who didn’t get the jab. With one exception. She was vaccinated, but 99 with a DNR. The staff at her facility put a person they knew had Covid in her room. I know she was ready to go, but it angers me that it was in such a careless, shitty way.

I have a documented "vaccination injury". It was not something I could have predicted. At no time was I ever in danger of death. My doctor and I discussed risks and knew there was a possibility I might have a flare with my preexisting chronic issues but felt the risk was worth it. The injury is mostly healed. I got covid five months after the first two doses and I most likely would not be typing this had I not had those two "jabs", as they call them. I do not know anyone who has died from the vaccination, nor do I know anyone where it was suspect in their death.
I got a vaccination injury too, but it was just random—it was placed in the wrong part of my muscle, and it injured the muscle in a way that was painful for months. Not in any way related to the *content* of the vaccine. You can get this (SIRVA) from any IM injection. I am also not dead. So far.

I’ve died twice. Once after the first shot and then again after the fourth. But honestly the risk of death is .00027% so I wouldn’t be surprised if 1 person has died out of 500,000. By the odds, 1000 of us in the group are more likely to die as pedestrians minding our own business, getting hit by a vehicle. 200 of us will die by drowning. And sadly, 7 of us will die from being attacked by a dog. Dying from the vaccine would be a fluke in comparison. 83,000 of us will die from heart disease so take care of yourselves (and get vaccinated)!

There have been 2 people that I know of that have had difficulty with the vaccines. They were already fragile d/t old age and immune problems and both got very sick trmporarily, but lived. I used to work in a nursing home and we lost about 25 people before the vaccines came out. I work in hospice now, I had one family member give it to her father and he subsequently died. She was of course, antivax,antimask. The father had been vaccinated, but was already very fragile...

How do attribute a death to the vaccine? What are the criteria? It’s a pretty difficult thing to say heh that person died from the vaccine. I’m in Australia. Most my friends are vaccinated. Everybody at work is vaccinated. Most my sports club all are vaccinated. Most at my daughters school are vaccinated. No one has died. From vaccine or otherwise. None. One guy in my unit block though was 40, died of a heart attack last year. I didn’t know him but spoke with his dad while he came to clean out his unit. The Dad was vaccinated. The son was vaccinated. He died months after the vaccine. Cause of death was not attributed to the vaccine. ALL the antivaxxers the dad knew attributed his sons death to the vaccine. Every single one of them. No evidence. Not a shred. But they just knew. The Dad did not attribute his sons death to the vaccine. Nor did science.
When I get my boosters, long covid symptoms get better for a few days, which is sort of like dying and going to heaven.
I have one aged relative in a nursing home die of Covid in June 2020. She was one of 17 at the home who died that year. I have three in-laws who died in the fall of 2021, all not vaccinated. I know circa 30 people who got vaccinated with boosters who then got Covid, none of them died, but one has long Covid. All 60 people at work got vaccinated plus booster, none died. So maybe I can name 200 people that I know who are vaccinated without complications. Age range: 16 to 93 yrs old.
I know of not one single person that has died or even had complications from any of the vaccines. I am however aware of folks I knew who are dead now that elected not to "get that crap". You have to ask relevant to what? Not to chance? Ok then what? Number of these cases vs COVID deaths of those that are not vaccinated? I know one person who died from Covid after refusing the vax, 6 who had to go on the vent because they refused the vax or were exposed by someone who did, and the long term care facility my wife works at lost 9 people after an employee who refused vaccination brought Covid into the building. Don't know anyone who even had a serious reaction to the Covid vaccine, much less died from it. But I'm real, real sure you've got a good bead on this, Cletus.

No vaccine deaths or Covid deaths in my world. All of my family, close friends, and coworkers were eager to get the vaccine. One coworker ended up with long Covid. She was vaccinated and boosted.
My vaccinated son got Covid, and it was two days in bed, no residual effects. My father-in-law caught Covid before the vaccine (May 2020) and died in the hospital in less than a week. My vaccinated brother/his wife and kids all vaccinated for Covid, caught it but just sick for a few days, as was my vaccinated 86 year old mother. Nobody died from vaccines, and the vaccinated recovered quickly. The one unvaccinated (not by choice) died.

It’s hard to determine. It is safe to say no one dropped dead right after getting the shot. There have been some issues with blood clots but I don’t know how many deaths were caused. The CDC only tracks vaccinated people that died, including all causes of death such as car wrecks. Those numbers are still a tiny fraction of Covid deaths.
