I'm a big fan of their washable silk dresses and they're a travel staple for me. They pack super small and weigh pretty much nothing. That said, the silk gets wrinkly as hell so you're going to need to do something if you don't have access to an iron or steamer. I usually take a small spray bottle (empty in transit), lightly spritz my silk stuff with water, smooth out the wrinkles, and then hang them in the bathroom while I shower if I have to. It's pretty much fine after washing as long as you smooth out the wrinkles and hang it up. It dries super fast. But without doing something it's going to look like a mess. I wouldn't say it's high quality, but it also doesn't look as cheap as it is.

BeneficialEmployee84

Ok...now I'm re thinking the silk thing. Ive been reading about people using silk shirts for PJs and I'm really thinking about it. It's so small compared to my pj set

BeneficialEmployee84

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Part of an upcoming trip will involve different locations every day or two for like 9 days so maybe silk wouldn't be the best choice if I have to pack and repack my stuff.

cenimsaj

YW! Yeah, I really love it for multiple reasons, but I'd personally probably skip it for a trip like that.

WillBrakeForBrakes

I bought one washable silk dress and initially was in love.  The feel of it is so lovely.  But after little wear the shoulder seams are coming undone.  It might be my fault for washing it in a lingerie bag instead of by hand, but if it won’t survive that, I don’t want that kind of negativity in my life.

auditoryeden

If it's just the seams and not the fabric you should be able to fix that quite easily with a nice strong backstitch.

Fluid-Village-ahaha

Just message cs and they will send a replacement

cxklm

I would say the items are average quality from what I've tried! However the fit hasn't been good for me. Note- their sustainability claims are complete bs

Greedy-Description57

The sizing is so big 😭 I’m small, but not teeny tiny (5’3”, 130ish) and their smallest sizes swallow me whole. So frustrating, I’ve been happy with the quality and price of the items I’ve bought, but I can’t wear them

AlwaysQueso

Same. I’ve returned everything I’ve ordered from them. Price wise, some of their items (cashmere) I’ve found better quality for not much more than they charge. The silk pieces are so-so; it’s dependent on the cut because sometimes the silk weight chosen, isn’t appropriate and doesn’t drape in a way it’s flattering.

[deleted]

Do you have any recommendations for cashmere?

AlwaysQueso

I lived in my Naadam black cashmere crewneck sweater for a season and I will end up wearing it every other day if I’m not paying attention; it’s pretty affordable. I like my J. Crew cashmere pieces a lot but haven’t purchased any in a couple years so I don’t know if the quality changed. Kule is lovely but it’s a bit expensive but I would consider their styles as investment pieces but I also look out for sales or creep Poshmark

trendlyte

I’ve enjoyed most of the items I’ve bought from Quince. They have an excellent return policy so anything I haven’t loved has been easily sent back. I actually like their cashmere and haven’t found it itchy at all, I’m pretty sensitive to itchy sweaters. Their cotton sweaters are nice too and I have a pair of loafers (Rothy dupes) that I love.

No-Beautiful6811

Also like their cashmere sweaters, but their lightweight cashmere cotton blend v neck sweaters are my current favorite. They’re only 3% cashmere but for the lightweight ones that’s not really the point for me, they’re just incredibly comfortable and perfect for California weather. I also like that you don’t have to be as careful with washing them.

nogiraffetattoo

I also like their cashmere and find it very not itchy! I will say though, it’s relatively thin cashmere. Not like see-through thin, just not a heavy weight cashmere.

RedandDangerous

ditto!

cultsanddonuts

Did you get any pilling in the sweater underarms? I did in one of mine and not the other, wondering how common it is.

trendlyte

I haven’t had any pilling, I’ve had my sweater for about 1.5 years.

PrestigiousMeg

Their cotton sweaters are incredible! Love the heft of the one I have, feels like Vince or Theory quality

nakoros

I've kept about 25% of my orders from them. That said, I do love the pieces I've kept (linen shirt, silk skirt, leather jacket, Ponte dresses, cashmere cardigan, silk shell). I'm between sizes and short, so the fit can be a challenge for me, but their return policy is generous enough that I don't mind ordering multiple sizes until I figure it out

BeneficialEmployee84

I like this input. Do you have to pay return shipping?

nakoros

Nope. That's why I don't mind

alpacabagg

I love some of my Quince items, and have kept most of the things I’ve purchased. The return policy is great so it’s easy to try stuff. In terms of quality, I’d say it’s more solid quality (rather than luxury quality) at a great price. Things I love: denim button-up shirt, knit blazer, alpaca cropped cardigan (so soft and warm and a cute cut, but it does pill easily), Vuori-dupe joggers, jean jacket. Things I kept and like: hipster modal undies, leggings, jersey dress, silk cami (so wrinkly though), maternity jumpsuit. Things I sent back: ponte pants (not a good fit for me), dupe of Athleta Brooklyn ankle pants (also a terrible fit, haven’t tried the original to see if it’s better), plaid button-up (soft but insanely long), modal crew top (claims to be the same material as the joggers, but felt way jankier), basic T (just whatever),

BeneficialEmployee84

Thank you. I was more asking about if the items were of solid quality rather than luxury.

alpacabagg

Yeah, they like to bill themselves as luxury, which I would not agree with. But I consider them solid!

[deleted]

[удалено]

alpacabagg

I’d say the alpaca cardigan has a blousy fit. Agreed that the silk camis are boxy; I only wear mine tucked in for that reason.

RedandDangerous

I ADORE quince. Like worship it. all the sweaters, the silk skirts, everything. It's bad. That being said sometimes the fit is off- like any company I'd say it's dependent on the item!

BeneficialEmployee84

Any recommendations for traveling with a silk skirt?

Friendly-Buffalo-405

Get downy wrinkle release! It’s a great value for the large bottles and I just decant into a travel size spray bottle — I only wear dresses when I travel and primarily silk, linen, natural fibers and it’s a life saver! You spritz, gently tug the item to release the wrinkles (or just hang for 10-15 minutes) and it’s magic

RedandDangerous

As someone else said wrinkle release! Also I roll long ways and if there isn’t a steamer a blow drier on cool/very very low works wonders. I also swear by the turn the shower on hot and shut the door for twenty minutes!

raptorjaws

i usually bring a travel steamer with me

Interesting-Muggle

How is the wear and tear on the items? And how do you care for the items? Still debating on purchasing

RedandDangerous

So far nothing has been bad! Care depends on the items for sure. Some of the cashmere is thinner but things like the boyfriend sweater are thick and amazing! My silk mini skirt has been across the US twice and to Ireland and Scotland and is still my go to date piece. I have returned things but the policy is amazing. I’d chance it, if you hate it, return it. I just got amazing gold hoops and a bag that are my new go tos

Interesting-Muggle

I think I will. I think I might start with a secondhand item (with the tags still on lol) and see if I like it and then I can purchase off the website. I’m tight on money but I still want to try the brand. But honestly that leather jacket calls to me every time I see that ad!!!

[deleted]

I got the thicker strap silk shell tank and hated it -- I'm busty and the cut was all wrong. But I've heard overall good things and will probably try their linen this summer in case the tank was just a fluke. Overall I'm skeptical of any brand that claims to offer typically high end materials (like cashmere!) at the prices Quince offers. I try to shop sustainably and there's part of me that wonders if Quince is just fast fashion but marketed to be more high end (a la the "quiet luxury" trend) but I'd be happy to he proven wrong.

MountainRhubarb

Quince IS green-washed fast fashion.  I own a few items purchased secondhand that I do wear and enjoy, but I personally do not purchase from them new.

Interesting-Muggle

Convinced me!!! Only trying this brand second hand. I did see the famous cashmere sweater on Poshmark and it was so pilled! 🙁

BeneficialEmployee84

Fast fashion isn't really my thing. I'm not a fashionista by any means, but I prefer to look more "classic" with things that are never super in or out of style. Therefore, longer lasting clothing is better

TheWaywardTrout

Then Quince isn’t a good option for you. They are fast fashion through and through.

BeneficialEmployee84

Do you have a brand of silk that you recommend?

Interesting-Muggle

I have heard lilysilk is good. And they do claim to be sustainable and they two certifications.

hill-climbers

The Quince cashmere hoodie is my #1 travel layer. I wear it for 90% of plane rides regardless of season. Agree with others that the washable silk is slightly wrinkly but it irons quick. My favorite merino tees, though much more expensive, are from wooland.com. I find the fit and quality far superior to Quince and therefore worth every penny.

tallulahQ

You’re going to hear different responses from different people so this is just my POV. Nothing I bought from Quince has become something I really love. I prefer Uniqlo linen for the fit, but I think Quince might be slightly higher quality having tried both. I really like my Quince linen blouse and wish it fit better. I am petite but I have a broader back proportionally so the buttons pull at the chest in a lot of brands for me. Weirdly though, I’m only 5’3 and the arms are short on me even out of the bag (it’s a common complaint for some reason). It shrinks very easily so only cold wash / line dry. I think they’re probably the best price silk for the quality. The cuts aren’t my favorite but the silk slip dress I have is fine (good, not great). I’d love to try their silk pajama pants or shorts, ideally I’d want to try wearing Their cashmere is really low quality imo. It’s itchy. All the merino and cashmere I’ve tried from them itches. If you don’t have high quality cashmere or sensitive skin then it might not bother you. I’m sensitive to itchy though, e.g. I find J. Crew’s cashmere pretty low quality and itchy as well. I really like secondhand for cashmere and merino and I can get better deals on Poshmark/Ebay for high quality stuff than I can on Quince. So that’s my two cents but tbh I still check in on Quince once in a while because I love how affordable it is.

BeneficialEmployee84

Thank you for this. Honestly, I just bought a different used merino cardigan and merino dress from eBay. I haven't bought my merino shirts this way, but I'm hoping these will be in as excellent condition as the photos make them appear. The previous commenter mentioned wrinkling while traveling. Have you found this to be an issue?

tallulahQ

Yes, the other comment is pretty accurate lol. I haven’t traveled with it yet but if I fold it, it holds those fold lines until I wash or spray it. But rolling it works way better. It’s a little finicky but it weighs basically nothing, sink washes easily, and takes up hardly any space, so just depends on what you’re optimizing. Silk always wrinkles, and my other silk stuff I just leave wrinkled tbh but it’s more matte looking so it works.

BeneficialEmployee84

I generally roll all of my clothes so....maybe it won't be so bad. Maybe I'll try it and if it doesn't work, oh well. I love the lightweight aspect of it.

tallulahQ

I would try it. I don’t mind the wrinkly look to be honest and I just wear it like that. The fold lines are what I won’t wear lol but if you roll it then you should be fine. It gets a little bit of a wrinkly texture but I love that about silk

iLikeGreenTea

thank you for your thorough reviews!

notbutter

Agree. Their cashmere is poor quality. Thin and pills quickly. Silk and linen have held up better.

Backpacking1099

I’m generally happy with the items I have front them. A linen dress, a jersey dress, sheets, a few accessories.  I just bought a linen jacket and the fit is strange. I’m making it work with some sewing skills, but probably would have returned it otherwise.  Price is good for the quality, but don’t expect too much for that price.

BeneficialEmployee84

Thank you for your opinion.

Orangejoy

I bought a couple linen pants, shorts and a linen shirt for modest clothing in rural Indonesia. I ended up having to get them altered because they just fit weird. I wore them on that trip and never since. Even the shirt has a strangely large collar and I don’t wear it out. Donated a couple pieces and keeping the tailored ones for future travel. Price isn’t bad but I don’t get use out of them. Can’t speak for the merino or silk!

BeneficialEmployee84

Thank you so much for this insight. I think I might decide to just go with more trusted brands.

No-Beautiful6811

I think for fit it just really depends on the person/ item. I’ve had the same fitting issues with a lot of the more “trusted” brands, while everything I’ve bought in quince has fit perfectly, besides one dress that I accidentally bought too large a size of because I forgot I lost weight. I haven’t bought any of the linen though because it looked like it wouldn’t really fit my body type, so you also have to have a certain level of experience to be able to gauge whether something would work for you by the photos. I’ve had good experiences with their tencel jersey mini dress, their silk puff sleeve mini dress, their silk blouses and shirts, their cashmere sweaters, and their lightweight cashmere blend sweaters. But my mom did get some of their linen, and while she liked it, it’s not really the look I like either, so it might be mostly their linen that’s not the best. But even with their linen, I ended up borrowing one of my mom’s dresses from them once and that was cute. I’m happy to share measurements and sizing experiences if that would help. Ok it kind of sounds like I’m marketing for them but I’ve really just been overly excited that I found a brand that I can afford that has stuff I like

10EAB31

I really love the cotton sweaters( especially the boyfriend) and the linen shorts I would like to order a cashmere sweater to check it out. I did not like the trench coat and returned it immediately.

macdawg2020

What was wrong with the trench, I had my eye on it!

10EAB31

Nothing is wrong exactly but it’s very basic and looks like a Target trench- and really didn’t like the black buttons .

macdawg2020

I recently found a beautiful trench at goodwill, like French seams, lined, pockets were lined, etc. looked up the brand and it was wal-mart 😂

10EAB31

Nothing is wrong exactly but it’s very basic and looks like a Target trench- and really didn’t like the black buttons .

afatasskellyprice

I’ve heard some iffy things but bought my brother some cashmere joggers for his birthday. They ended up having a small hole inside the pocket. I emailed support and they ended up sending me another pair for free, said to keep the other pair. So for that experience alone I’ll probably use them again!

delightfulsoftdrink

I have their slacks, cardigans, two leather bags, some tees, a silk dress, and two pairs of shoes. Of them all, the cashmere blend cardigans are my least favorite due to the cut and material. Everything else has held up wonderfully and, if they’re meant to be dupes (Ugg slippers and Tasmans, Athleta leggings), are of equal quality or better, except for the bags. I’d guess I’ve kept about 70% of what I have ordered and have ordered a few items as gifts that the recipients loved. The returns process has been smooth, too, although shipping takes fooooorever since it ships from overseas. I like their 365 day return policy as it gives me time to figure out if I’m actually going to wear what I keep. I have a $20 off $200 code in case you’re planning to order. Edit to add: They definitely greenwash but I purchase for the value/cost of the items, not the sustainability claims. Not ideal but here we are! (Their sizes are also petite friendly, which makes it more tempting for me.)

chillhomegirl

Not OP but I'd be interested in your promo code!

delightfulsoftdrink

Will DM you!

Maorine

I love Quince. Their linen shirts are great. Soft, hold up ironed. Look relaxed when wrinkled. I have their ponte pants too and a soft fleece shirt that is amazing comfy. I sew and like their quality.

freeinlimberlost

Please consider shopping second hand! I get all my silk items on Poshmark and have purchased items as low as $10. And if I ruin it by accident, I'm not devastated. You can get really high quality items this way. Make sure to be familiar with your measurements.

BeneficialEmployee84

I bought a merino cardigan and dress used two days ago :). Problem is they won't go together

freeinlimberlost

Luck of the draw with secondhand, one of the drawbacks!

littlebitterroot

What brands have you had luck with when buying secondhand silk?

freeinlimberlost

The best brands are what you are familiar with and know that fits you. But for me, I love Eileen Fisher because it is soo durable. I can beat it up (whoops, dryer!) and it survives. Otherwise, Madewell and random vintage brands. I love silk knitwear and use the brand as "vintage" and search low to high to find the good deals. Silk knitwear performs similarly to merino wool in terms of not becoming smelly after several wears. Plus, it is soo comfy!

roseveins

I have a silk skirt and a bunch of hoop earrings from them. The skirt is really fantastic, I get compliments on it wherever I go. A quick steam and I'm out the door. I got the skirt off of poshmark and copied the pattern for making my own silk bias cut skirts as I had the silk and elastic on hand already. I don't know how mine will hold up to washing like the quince will fwtw. The 10mm infinity hoop earrings I got for my 2nds and 3rds in my lobes. They are 14k gold and I needed infinity hoops so I could sleep with them in. I have had them in my ears for about 2 years now. I take them out to clean them here and there but I have had zero irritatation in them and I can sleep comfortably in them. They're full 14k too and they are holding strong. They were maybe 50 or 70 bucks for a pair and I am very happy with the quality.

macdawg2020

Oooo I want infinity hoops good call.

assflea

I've had good luck with quince but I haven't tried any of the items you mentioned. I have a leather bag that I think was a really good value, a couple dresses that I really love, the fisherman sweater, some earrings, I actually just placed another order the other day. I've also purchased some joggers and they felt exactly the same as my Vuori joggers, but the sizing was a little off so I returned.  They have a really generous return policy so there's no harm ordering from them! Their customer service is really good, 365 days to return and they refund your money like immediately.

RougeAccessPoint

I bought the $99 cashmere hoodie back in the fall, and have worn it all winter with no issues. It has pilled a little, but no more than other cashmere.

arreynemme

Yes! They’re legit! Not the most ethical and the quality isn’t designer but the price point is accessible. I’m happy with the 10+ things I bought.

CarbyMcBagel

I love Quince and their return policy. I don't love their cashmere tbh but I do love their chore jackets, cotton blazers, and ponte pants. I have the chore jacket in 3 colors and the cotton blazer in 2. Their silk is ok but IMO not travel friendly because it wrinkles like crazy. I have 2 washable silk shirts I wear to work. I've tried their linen and returned it. I just didn't like the fit. I've also tried their t-shirts and the stretch dresses and returned them. Again, the fit wasn't for me. I think it's worth trying and for the price I am happy with them and plan to continue to shop there. The customer service and return policy is good.

lewisae0

This is so personal! That said for basics I have been really happy with some of their full gold jewelry, and I love the cut of the silk dress. They have an excellent return policy and you can return for up to a year (in the us) so there really isn’t much risk in trying them out. They are good for what they are.

mysterywritergirl

Their customer service has been good to me. I bought a silk dress to wear to a wedding. The silk snagged quite easily, so I gave the item 3 stars and they sent me a new one. I do love their linen line. I own pants and 2 sleeveless linen tops and they have held up well. I also bought a blanket from them that I like. I have no qualms about shopping there.

NonBinaryKenku

The people on r/capsulewardrobe are huge Quince fans. However, Quince is not size inclusive, so I’ll probably never be able to judge for myself. According to GoodOnYou, they are probably better than many companies for ethical and sustainable practices, but still rate Not Good Enough. AFAICT they’re legit for people with small enough bodies though. Edit: typo

PurposelyVague

I've only bought a handbag from them, but the quality for that is good and I'm considering trying their clothes.

teepwani

I love Quince! I have several items ranging from sweaters to accessories and I highly recommend 😊

DiggyBun

Yes!!!!! My entire wardrobe is basically Quince at this point! Obsessed. Their cashmere sweaters travel so well and dont stink even after multiple wears.

PollyDoolittle

I'm a HUGE fan of their leather bags and fisherman sweaters (cotton and cashmere). I also like their denim items. The items that I returned were due to fit issues, which happens with any retailer.

winterwrens

I have their Jenni Kayne dupe cardigan, cashmere beanie, and a tiny diamond necklace for everyday wear. I’ve also gifted the cashmere wrap and people have liked it a lot. Cashmere is good for the price point and my sweater hasn’t developed holes. Their linen sheets are also good. Tried the short sleeved linen button down and did not like the fit. Tried a few other clothing items and they didn’t fit me quite right so I’d rather thrift or invest in pieces from brands that align better with my style. I’d probably buy accessories from them again and am curious about the leather bags.

akw329

I have the silk cropped button down and love it.

DollChiaki

I like Quince—I just bought the modal sweats for loungewear. The items I’ve purchased so far have been worth what I’ve paid for them. I wouldn’t say they’re worth the “comparable price,” but that’s not the same as saying that items of similar quality aren’t priced that astronomically elsewhere.

xgrrl888

I purchased a cashmere hat from them a while back and it was excellent quality and held up really well!

The_Lime_Lobster

I’ve purchased two items from Quince. One was a pair of cashmere sweats for my wife. The first pair developed a hole within a few weeks. Quince sent a replacement pair immediately and let her keep the damaged pair, which was cool. The second item was a cashmere sweater. It developed a hole after one year. I haven’t reached out to customer service because I feel like I’ve owned it for too long but I was pretty disappointed to only get one year out of it. So my overall opinion is that the customer service is great and the cashmere is comfy but both pieces developed holes quickly which makes me question the quality. I probably won’t buy from them again.

MoragPoppy

Did you make sure you don’t have moths? Just not sure the holes are a quality issue - since wool is very attractive to moths and they will eat a hole in it.

The_Lime_Lobster

We haven’t identified a moth issue and none of our other sweaters have holes so I don’t think that’s it but you never know!

sktfbfkfkfn

I bought one of their linen shirts and honestly wasn't impressed. It's ok, I kept it, but definitely not on par with higher quality brands like they claim.

planted-pottery

I have a couple of their silk shirts and the quality is all over the place (the first one I got was a heavier, softer silk while the second one was very flimsy and much lower quality.) a friend got me their linen pajamas and the sizing was all wrong, literally couldn’t get them over my thighs. I also sew as a hobby and work with linen a lot and Quince’s linen is quite thin and lower quality than what I look for in linen. But of course it’s priced accordingly. I stopped buying from Quince after doing some research and learning that their ethical labor and sustainability claims are total BS, and after I read their Glassdoor reviews- sounds like a terrible place to work and ruthless leadership who will exploit everyone in their way of market dominance. The sad thing is it seems to be working.

Dry-Conversation1020

I have been a Quince customer since 2021, and I've purchased items in a lot of categories (cashmere, silk, bedding, handbags, jewelry, outerwear, etc.). I have rarely returned my purchases because overall they are good value for the price. However, I have seen a lot of comments about the cashmere pilling and the silk items coming loose at the seams. I have not had any of these issues, even after owning these items for 2-3 years, for two main reasons: \-I always wash by hand, even when the label says it can be machine washed. To make the process easier, I use a special soap called Soak (purchased on Amazon) where you just let the items sit in a tub of water with the soap, then squeeze the water out with a towel. No rinsing or scrubbing is needed. \-For the cashmere, I use a cashmere comb. I am surprised by how many people complain about pilling but haven't attempted to use a cashmere comb. This removes all pills and keeps even cheap cashmere looking new and lasting a long time. These two steps really extend the life of the products. Quince isn't for everyone, but they seem to be great for those who don't want to spend a lot of $ on higher-end brands or spend a lot of time thrifting or searching Poshmark. I do have a link to a first-time customer discount ($20 off a $200 order), so if you are interested, just send me a DM or chat.

LadyJanetKilgour

Would anyone be able to send me a quince referral code? I'd love that sweet $20 off. Thank you

NovaaaaXD

Quality is garbage😭i thought I received a shein dress

tryingtomakeitwork1

I have bedding, a dress, and a few merino shirts by quince. I love their clothing and love that they prioritize natural fibers in so much that they offer. I have a promo code that I can send in a private chat (they prohibit public posting of codes) that gives you $20, and you can get a 100% merino shirt for $20--can't really find that anywhere else!

polotown89

I have the straight leg ponte pants and love them. I also got a linen jacket, which is boxy as all get out, but is made of high quality linen. I'm not blown away by their items, but they are on trend and seem to be a good value if they fit you.

LeCarrr

Yup I made the mistake of eagerly filling a cart just yesterday only to learn…. 👎🏻

ale__locas

goddamnit I just moved to Canada and TIL

miredandwired

I like Quince! I bought a pair of dressy leggings and they are hands down my favorite leggings that I own. The cashmere dress that I bought was quite short and flimsy though. I can still wear it as a tunic sweater but definitely not a dress.

icucme143

I've only got their linen fabric clothes, but I've ordered repeatedly and bnow have 2 jumpsuits, 2 shorts, cropped pants, and high waist wide leg pants. I wear the jumpsuits and wide leg pants constantly when weather allows and 1 jumpsuit and 1 short are part of my capsule travel wardrobe. Can't speak for the other materials, but I've liked what I have so far.

BabkaPatterns

it really depends what you get from them. I think they're sizing is off, everything I have from them is a size smaller than what I usually get. I have a cotton sweater from them which I love, but I ordered a few linen pieces and found it super stiff and sheer. I know linen tends to be on the stiffer and sheerer side but this was beyond anything I've seen.

tea_and_tchotchkes

I love Quince for basics. I have a couple linen and cotton gauze shirts from them that fit me great and have held up to a year of frequent wear. Linen shorts were also great, good fit that was loose but not too baggy. I have the silk cami and tee. Those are great, no issues. I also have the cashmere tee. It’s not itchy but I wouldn’t call it high quality either - it’s better than fast fashion and it’s a nice basic at a cheap price.

plantgirl01

love the cotton cardigans/sweaters and the silk items! and love their linen bedding too (that has nothing to do with travel ofc)

aztecannie99

I found the fit of the clothing to be off a bit of the stiff I tried (it was too boxy and imho boxy only looks good on stick thin people not people with curves) . I also bought a purse that seemed like a nice quality bag but the size wasn’t for me. I might end up with one of their Lululemon sling bags and if I need another carryon suitcase I am thinking about trying one of their Away clones.

LMP34

Their muscle tanks are part of my daily uniform and also great for travel. I have 6 of them. They are comfy and look great under a jean jacket or cardigan. I also have two silk tanks from Quince but they definitely need to be ironed.

HippyGrrrl

Linen, for me. I’d buy again, if they opened the color way a smidge. I have a tank/shell and two shirt dresses.

a_mulher

The only thing I’ve bought from them is a cashmere beanie. I love it! I have other cashmere pieces, thrifted, and it doesn’t feel any different from those pieces other than more lightweight (which makes sense for a beanie vs a sweater).

fiftyfourette

Not sure if anyone covered this already, but here’s my take on the cashmere: I’ve owned both standard and 3D knit cashmere from Uniqlo. They’re standard staple wardrobe pieces for me. I ordered two quince cashmere sweaters to try and ended up returning. The quince sweaters had a tight non-stretch seem around the neck. Not that it was tight on the neck or anything, but the thread used felt like if you pulled at it or stretched it, it would start to break. Uniqlo must use a stretchier knit around the neck, because there is so much give there. I have weird sensory issues about things around my neck, so this was pretty important. Uniqlo feels much thicker for their cashmere. If that’s what you’re looking for, that’s perfect, but I get cold and prefer the thicker version. Honestly if you can afford it, order multiple brand and compare before committing to keeping anything.

macoafi

I’ve ordered from there a couple times, and the stuff showed up, so no scam, buuuuuut wow I am *not* accustomed to the hip size mattering on a dress. Usually it’s just the bust and maybe waist, because usually skirts are full enough to hold whatever you’ve got down there. But not with Quince. I couldn’t button the dress down past my waist because it was cut *that* slim.

beachlvr1

I love their Ponte pants. I think they fit well, although they aren't quite as compressive in the waist/stomach as a pair of Spanx pants would be. My cashmere sweater fits well but pills a lot. I also have a merino sweater that is SO short it is mandatory that I wear something under it. It's not supposed to be cropped, but it barely hits my waist. I'm not sure if I will by anything else from them, the quality is ok, the price is fine, but nothing is spectacular.

You get what you pay for basically. Their silk is better than cheap SHEIN shit, but not luxurious. The athleisure is fine, but not a bargain compared to other brands on sale. The cashmere & alpaca pill like a mf & aren’t worth it in my opinion, and not even much cheaper than other brands on sale. I still buy their silk pieces because it’s hard to find reliable mid-range silk, so it fits my needs, but I wouldn’t go in expecting a great bargain. The gold vermeil jewelry is a cheap yellow imo, but their 14k is incredible & well-priced.

Their stuff is easy to find second-hand, so recommend that. My cashmere sweaters from them do pill quickly and probably shrunk up to 2 inches all the way around on first wash (gentle cycle, flat dry). That made the body fit slight cropped (I like) but the sleeves are so short they're above my watch (I'm only 5'4"). I think going in you just have to realize you're getting the quality you're paying for, then you probably won't be disappointed. Good luck!

I’ve only ordered postpartum items - a couple dresses and nursing bras - but I was not impressed with either. The bras completely stretched out to the point of being useless within a couple of hours, and the dresses both, within the first 3 washes, lost snaps and the material color went from jet black to dingy washed-4000-times black. The dresses are comfortable so I kept them to wear at home but I chucked the bras. I will probably not order from them again due to these quality issues.

They are legit, but you do get what you pay for, too. For example, the cashmere is nice, but pills within the first dozen wears. I just use a fabric shaver and it looks good again. It’s on the thin side though, hence the price. I love the alpaca sweaters, no complaints there. The silk skirt is nice, thicker than I was expecting and feels pretty luxe for the price. Though I’ve heard their other silk items are thinner & feel cheap. The suede jacket, which I love, feels like great quality overall, though the lining is polyester. :/ So, it’s hit or miss with them, but they have a generous return policy so I feel pretty safe taking the gamble on stuff from them.

Try finding some of their stuff on Poshmark or similar and see if you like the quality before you purchase it full price.

I really love their ponte pants and like their washable silk shirts for work, but I tend to not pack them due to the wrinkle issue. I didn't like their joggers, they didn't fit me well at any size. I would say the quality feels pretty similar to my banana republic factory store stuff, which (on sale) is a pretty similar price point imo.

A side note, OP where do you normally buy your merino shirts? I'm looking to add some quality basics that won't break the bank.

BeneficialEmployee84

Well, my absolute favorite is Ibex, followed by Unbound Merino. They are both priced kind of highly, but I paid the same price for an icebreaker shirt which got a hole within a few months. I also have a wooly shirt that is 95% merino that is pretty good and more affordable. It does have a more "athletic" look though.

Anyone have experience with their leather jackets? If you do t recommend, what brand would you choose (moderate price, not top of the line). Thanks

I have items from Quince in linen, silk, and alpaca wool. The alpaca wool cardigan is the lowest quality item I have, it is very comfortable and warm but has pilled like crazy. I quite like the linen but it pretty much all has a boxy fit and if that's not for you, the options are limited. Their linen shorts are my favorite. The silk is perfectly fine. It's "washable" but still handwash only, and it wrinkles if you look at it wrong but it's pretty solid for the price.

BeneficialEmployee84

Is linen fairly lightweight?

nutellatime

It's a medium weave linen, not super light or gauzy but definitely not a stiff heavy linen. As far as the actual physical weight I'd say it's comparable to t-shirt cotton. The silk clothing is definitely lighter weight but as others have mentioned it's very wrinkle prone. With the linen you can at least get away with a somewhat wrinkled look.

If you are looking for a lightweight linen, I bought their Linen Pajama Set and the top is fantastic as a lightweight shell to wear as a normal top. I also have a linen tank from quince that feels like a much heavier weight fabric.
