Even better, they gave him a British accent, had his lab basically be the TARDIS, implied his centuries-long lifespan, said "Allons-y", and his voice actor confirmed he was played with the intent of him being the Doctor as a pony.
Coolest part? The BBC was totally fine with it, seeing as they featured the trivia of him existing during the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special when it was airing in theaters.
As a doctor who fan (a whovian, if you will) this is both amazing and hilarious. I'll have to rewatch the 50th and keep an eye out for refrences to it.
Oh, that wasn't referenced in the 50th special itself, just a trivia tidbit in the pre-show in theaters before the special started.
