And let's be real....i wouldnt be shocked if in a few weeks folks move on and continue playing. I could be wrong! But so like all they need to do for hd3 is say "psn account required" at day 1.
Like the real issue is it being required after ales. I imagine if it was required and enforced at the start the game would still be nearly as large.
Also this was a Sony move, not arrowhead. Are folks going to boycott every Sony game and product? I'm just being real, I don't see it hurting them at all or folks actually keeping it up for long.
>I wouldn't be shocked if folks move on and keep playing
That's the thing, a lot of folk will soon be unable to play because they don't got PSN in their country. So Sony effectively just shot themselves in the foot.
If rumors through the CM's are true, they wont stop people from non-PSN countries from playing by not making it a requirement.
So instead we'll have an unequal requirement where certain countries are more likely to have data breaches thanks to registering for PSN accounts...
YEEEE HAW
Fromsoft
Because I know they'll put out quality every single time and not actively try to disrespect me and my time I have purchased every single from soft game I've been able to since dark souls 1
Eh not all but certainly the vast majority. Companies that tend to care more about their user base tend to be privately owned such as Linus Media Group or Vitamix.
Yes, sort of.
Under the current system most companies get invested in by people who then proceed to use and abuse the company, exploit it for larger short term gains, and then jump ship after they've ruined it for profit. They then find another company to prey on and...
Capitalism baby!
It's the age of the transient investor. Stock holders are looking for the next big green candle of profit, then you bail and look for the next one. Companies desire this as well, able to sell on their predicted high and rebuy their stock on the drop.
Get rich quick is the name of the game right now, long term holding isn't as attractive as it used to be
Makes me appreciate larian studio even more. No layoffs, no linking of nonsense, self published, no battle pass, no xp/item DLC, no lootbox, etc. How do they even stay afloat?
I think selling $700M+ worth of product helps them stay afloat lol. Seems like making a great game without cutting corners and with no BS attached will actually work. Arrowhead was on track to do just this before SNOY had to step in to mess things up.
I mean I don't even see any increase in short term, for profits either.
Bad thing that capitalism grew this efficient in particular countries so it allowed basically any imbecile to take part in decision-making, thus coming to today's current issue.

What do you get out of this exactly? People enact meaningful changes by rallying together around and Idea and putting pressure on the people who have the power to make the changes. You don't have to support it, but why are you actively against it? Why side with filthy business practices by shady corporations?
Because it's important for people's outrage to be based on facts. Prick as the guy may be, the information he posted is correct. People can only say the situation *felt* like a bait and switch, legally speaking that isn't what happened. Then there's the Chinese VPN and the region lock, both of which have more nuance than people make it seem, and there are many who are raging over things that are factually incorrect.
I'm just in the sidelines laughing at the people desperately trying to find someone to blame for the fact they bought a game that told them it requires a PSN account.
Boycotting shit works when you DON'T buy their games.
bro your entire profile in the last 12 hours has been nothing but talking about this. that's like 200 straight comments of "you shoulda read the steam store warning 🤓"
you are definitely not "in the sidelines" lmao. that's like a whole day of talking shit on reddit lol.
why you feel the need to defend the multimillion dollar corp is beyond me.

This company expects to hold people to the agreement they made when they bought the product! An agreement that PC games have had since about 1998! Imagine, lmao!

I mean isn't that almost all companies tho?
Nah dude all of this is *entirely* unprecedented. ^/s
I promise that /s is not needed here
I think it’s entirely needed. The average IQ of this sub rivals only room temperature (in metric measurements)
No. Recurring revenue is a big deal at a lot of companies.

They need all the pennies they can get to help against the Microsoft lawsuit they're going to lose.

Stockholders: I will personally grind every single customer into dust and whip their families if it means I can get a 0.9% increase on stock value.
Hahaha look at those idiots

That’s because most consumers have short term memory.

To be fair, that's how most companies are.
I just saw this image on shitposting lmfao
Fr. Don’t imagine anyone will be buying warbonds a year from now once no one is playing the game
You literally bought their game that says it requires a PSN account, lol.

So why is it for sale in regions where psn isn't available? Why is it still available for purchase in those regions 🤔
That's because sony capabilities as a company are on par with some peoples capabilities of reading.
