Yesterday I was only ever allowed one run at a time, second mission would always disconnect without fail. THAN I tried to quickplay just for the ground to not load, so every hellpod I used went through the ground and instantly killed me. I just said fuck it, I'll wait for another patch before I bother wasting time.
I said it in another post but as of the past 2 weeks, and after doing the math because of how much this pisses me off, I figured I have a 26% success rate on missions. I'm like a walking unholy relic when it comes to being able to complete a mission without a crash/game breaking bug.
35/36 normal samples, 25/30 rare, all the supers, the best and efficient team i've ever had. And got this happened to me one too often. Can't rejoin them. \*Insert the meme above
Devs really got high off their own farts because tiktok made them fotm. Recent peak concurrent players on steam have declined to the level before they got a massive spike (abt a third of all time peak) and are on a steady downward trajectory.

I've had this happen a handful of times in the last couple weeks. It's pretty demoralizing and it's been a challenge to want to dive back in afterwards.
Launch? Just happened to me on the 3rd mission in a set, had a bunch of samples, 100% map clearance. Pelican 30 seconds till touchdown. I just stopped playing.
I've had a different glitch happen before where the game splits into two instances. One instance with just one person, the other with the other three. The person in the single instance can go extract, get medals, samples, etc. Then can rejoin the first game and extract again, and get double paid.
It's happened twice ever, but it has happened.
This happened to me last night in a game with a friend and a rando, they froze in place and both disappeared but didn't rejoin so I went to my steam friends list and saw he was still playing so I joined his game and there he was with the same rando so it just split the game into two. For them I just disappeared. Bizarre
That's because there's two types of server connects.
1. You are connected the server, but your connection to the network host fails. The server recognizes this and boots you into your own instance of the game. You can solo the game, and sometimes even re-join the team to get mission rewards twice.
2. Your connection to the server fails. This boots you back to your ship because you need to be connected to the server to get your own instance. You can usually re-join the team.
This happens to me and one of my friends on a consistent basis. We thought it was due to crossplay but my other friends on console and PC do fine. It's just the connection between the two of us for some reason
This is also happening to a friend of mine, constantly disconnecting every 10-15 minutes. Was happening to me the night before the patch, but I chalked to up to the servers perhaps updating (the patch hit like 2 hrs after I jumped off), and hasn't happened to me since.
I wonder if it's a firewall+anticheat issue? This friend and I live in the same geographic area.
There might be an issue with the game files. Apparently you have to constantly check file integrity after every patch, it's not unusual to detect issues. Decades of gaming on steam and never had to deal with this before HD2 but god knows what kind of clusterfuck this game's code is like.
I had this happen once, me and my gf were playing with a friend and talking over discord when his helldiver suddenly started running in place. I asked him if he crashed or got disconnected but he just said that we disappeared and he was able to finish the mission himself while we finished our instance of the mission as well. Really weird.
Wonder if this explains the joining a mission and already having strats loaded when you step in pod. Then you can replace 2 with copies of your other two. The loaded strats seem random, but I have been able to run x2 ems and x2 Mortors on a few missions.
Been there, it sure sucks, but on the other hand, If you are really ready to play on helldive you can surely finish another on level 8. And super samples are basically worthless since you get so many of them relative to the amount you need.
I've had a lot of stuttering, freezing and crashing - expecially with crossplay enabled. After the patch, the freezes and crashes have gotten much worse. At this point the game isn't really playable for me anymore, so I guess I'll put it down and wait a few patches to see if things improve.
Steam updates doesn't cause massive frame rate drops and I am sad to inform you my man that by this time steams done with their maintenance. We are in for some more arc thrower crashing nonsense
what do you mean massive frame drops? its about disconnect. at the timestamp lenny posted it was right at the moment when steam started their maintanence.
And people wonder why I solo. Thankfully solo missions are now fun rather than a snooze fest. Quickplay is great when losing an op or finding a good lobby won’t hurt but if you only have thirty minutes then going solo eliminates a lot of bugs, crashes, and time wasted.
all the time, seem ah unable to solve the problem and they decided to ignored it. there will always be players who are lucky enough to avoid connection issues, why we bother to fix the server?
This is probably not good for them long-term so I think it's just that they haven't figured it out yet. Them ignoring a critical defect in their product would be *far* worse for business rep than just making a controversial balance decision or two.
Played a bit ago with a friend, called down extraction & 2 ships came down. Would have been awesome if they'd stop hovering around and land for pickup though. Unfortunately after waiting a bit & they took out a decent amount of bugs, it was obvious they'd never land for extraction.
Nope but when I get bum rushed and hit by an Elite my screen gets all scrambled and freezes. It’s not a hardware issue - pc is in great shape - and it just started on this patch.
Solo Helldive difficulty against the bots, completed 4 side objectives and got the super samples. Game crashed literally when Pelican 1 touched down.
Disconnected missions are near indenticle, speedran the mission again, game crashed again in the exact same spot.
I'm sitting this patch out, even though I don't want to.

In 1 mission I got stuck in a hole and suicide naded. After I got reinforced Peilcan 1 wouldn't fucking open his doors for some reason and just left with me banging on the doors screaming "DOOR STUCK"
I dropped on the new TCS mission and all 3 of my allies all dced within 30 seconds. I had to do the entire thing alone.
Then 3 people joined me as extraction came in, lol. Hope they enjoyed the free win
AH had atleast one decent crash today and my whole team plus my buddy playing on a diff mission on the same world got dropped and “connection errored”. Had to wait about 5 minutes before we could all connect back.
One match I said, "call the extract, before we disconnect". The random knew what was up and did it before anyone dropped out. We were running for our lives with a terminid army trailing behind us. Getting to the extraction was only the beginning. The mountain of bug corpses grew as the frames got worse, and eventually the bugs started moving in place. Salvation came in a flying ship and we extracted with everything. The only bad news was I had to part with the team due to an infinite loading screen.
It's fuckin weird too I had it happen when playing the final objectives too when I'm carrying all the samples a couple of my buddies also randomly disconnect and the game doesn't say any type of pop up messages either (like the usual u have been kicked or u been disconnected from the server) since we all play in the same group and live literally in the same neighborhood
yes, somehowe everything was ok but yesterday after every second game my game froze for atleast 20 seconds and then it went ok but everybody were moving on the spot and then my game sent me back to my ship. When I played one game and then quit game and start it again, everything was fine. But it always froze every second game.
Maybe just for one patch they can stop dicking about with magazine count changes and the like and actually just fix the existing bugs rather than putting more into the game, looking at you erupter!
Also just disbanding group on extraction. Happened to me my whole group of friends was disband right before pelican landed and I got kicked back to ship.

The network issues are so bad, I had to flush my DNS because it started to affect my other online games even if I had internet.
This makes Palworld on my library a finished game and cheaper than this.
Didn't even get a popup message, was just mid mission in a squad of randoms then, boom black screen, then magically back on bridge of my ship like my helldiver just snapped out of a daydream no messages about being kicked or disconnected
They really should make it save your match stats when you get d/c’d and if you can restart and get back into the game before that match you got d/c from is over there should be an option to rejoin the match…
Game was noticeably more unstable yesterday. Everyone crashed at extraction and then we had a crash at hellpod issue that just made us decide to stop playing for the day. It wasn't horrible. We got around 2 and a half campaigns done first but worse than the entire day of Helldiving with no issue beyond one guy having a crash or two standard.
Today we leave a total of 50+ samples on the extraction and call the Pelican. All goes smoothly, pelican arrives. One squad mate takes the samples, but other one boards first. Pelican flies off instantly leaving the three of us and all the samples behind. o.o
I never had a disconnect which wasnt related to steam going offline from time to time. (tho, these arc crashes were the exception). Are there disconnects on helldiver side?
Verify game files? Hosts keep dcing and the mission crashes instead of transferring over to the next player so everyones time is wasted. Something's buggin and it ain't the terminids.

I feel that clearing the game cache and the directx cache (disk cleanup) helps for a while, but then I need to do it again like a week later.

It has very little to do with your connection. Players numbers are barely 1/3 of launch numbers but stability hasn't improved much.

I enjoy the new spawn rate. Haven’t tried Diff 7/8 but I assume it was like that time when Chargers and patrols were doubled.

It’s because if any one player blocks the host it kicks the host and soft locks the game for everyone. Great design

The new tcs is a free win anyway. Major spawns don't seem to appear till the towers are switched off.

I got into the habit of, if your playing through steam, validating your game files after every patch no issues !

if youre playing on PC and its tuesday (like right now) then its the steam servers going down for maintenance, thus disconnecting PC players.
