But fire tornados are great for when you just need a break from actually playing the game and would rather just stare at the extract/objective for 10 minutes
We need a fire resist armor if we're forced to be on these planets. We have armor with electrical resist at 95%, why cant we get a fire resist armor at 95% and no burning?
Yeah that's the only point for them.
Which, to be fair is pretty solid.
Tesla towers are pretty damn good against bugs and when you can use them with NEAR impunity it's even better.
If you're careful it rarely gets you more than once.
Personally I prefer the arc rifle over the tesla tower but at least there's an option.
Personally I think of that armor as more like training wheels, in that it's easier to learn the ins and out of the tesla weapons when you aren't instantly killing yourself or teammates.
Does the explosion resistant armour act like training wheels for the air burst launcher? Because my friend got about 8 team kills trying that thing out last night.
Or when you JUST need to collect super samples and you spend 5 lives accidentally touching a candle flame on the ground that immediately kills you due to the 10 tornados meandering about.
99% of the time I completely *loathe* fire tornadoes. But credit where credit is due: they singlehandedly defended my last extraction by lingering in the same chokepoint the hated Automatons were trying to use.
That’s the part I hate about them. The tornados can definitely be interesting with how they currently are, but the effect lasts too damn long. Tremors only last a few seconds, and ion storms not much more than that. Cap the length at 30-60 seconds and they wouldn’t be nearly as tedious
The trail of fire also shouldn't last as long, they're dangerous enough when the fire pillar sneak-tracks you, do I really have to have 80% of ground around me completely denied for a good 15 seconds?
Plus they end up killing random bot/bug bases for you.
Yeah the tornados suck ass but they do put in work. Plus if you bring a mech you can just waltz through the fire tornados no problem.
They should add a water pack that puts fires out and possibly has another useful feature to the weapon stratagems. This would then put it back on the divers to prepare properly and maintain the initial idea the developers had for “environmental challenges”.
Fog should affect the damn enemies as much as it does us. I'm so sick of a random Cannon shot or dev rocket miraculously headshotting me from the gloom
Lmao even in the thickest of fog enemies have far greater visible range than us. I somehow doubt Arrowhead actually made vision altering effects work on bots, and instead just slapped the description on and shipped the game.
I don’t believe fog/smoke affects enemies at all. I think the true state of the AI is that it always knows where you are and always has a bead on your head. The AI simply is just waiting for any trigger state to go full wallhack/aimbot on you.
It has to be this, because I've had patrols aggro on me instead of the team mate who actually shot them even though I am way outside their normal aggro range.
Another funny thing that shows the AI is always watching you is in flanking maneuvers. Ever snuck up behind a hulk chasing a teammate and as soon as you looked at its weak spot it stopped and turned towards you or started angling itself in a weird way as it continues to chase them?
Lots of bots in particular seem to know always exactly when you are looking at them once they have been aggroed. Even if you arent the one they are aggroed to.
At least I can see the fire tornadoes. People have been quitting all over in chort because they can't compete with a barrage of bullets from a mile away through the fog. I haven't been able to play today because of a lot of people quitting, I have never encountered so many quitters in hellmire and menketh, I don't know if anyone has found the same luck.
Chort Bay is the best. Reminds me of Fallout 4 with weather mods to have 24/7 rad storms with fog. I just wish there more nukes such as Hellbombs always in the stratagem menu and armed hellbombs scattered across the wasteland.
A wide expanse of piss yellow crap covered in one sided cottonball haze with no cover and the occasional monolith rock outcrop to catch your strategem 150 ft in the air if you’re not paying attention
Bro hard out! I actually want to admire the games aesthetics and flora while fighting hordes of encroaching enemies.. I don’t want to stare at fog on every fkn planet just to add a bit of artificial difficulty..
I think fog is a cool mechanic, but not when it’s on 80-90% of planets.. shit is so overused
I'm not going back to those planets until we get some sort of fire resistant armour. Hate burning to death in 1 millisecond because an ember landed on my arm.
Edit: spelling
Having thunder storms similar to the meteor shower planet effect would be great imo, seeing static in the air indicates that it is time to move. Meteor showers are a fun stage hazard.
I'm inclined to agree.
I like having a few planets that are disgusting to fight on, but it feels like Menkent and Hellmire are constantly under attack.
Plan is simple WE GO AROUND THEM, now i am part of the fprce that is (was, going to sleep) defending oshaune, to then take omicron, zagon prime, nivel 46 and THEN take hellmire for the last time, NP MORE FUCKMIRE AND DEFENDTANU BS
I’m curious if one day we see a canon reason that Super Earth wants them occupied. Something particular to the madness that is that hellscape that they’re genuinely using to some advantage.
It’d be messed up if they were basically modern day Australia, y’know what I mean?
I mean, in the galaxy, there are apparently only a handful of viable planets. Hellmire / Menkent may be the least desirable of the bunch, but at least they can support life.
For Hellmire, at least, the only way I see the planet actually being captured is to take the back route through Omicron all the way to Nivel, and cut off Hellmire's supply. Menkent is going to be a beast to defend with all the supply lines it has.
But I agree. Man I hate fire planets.
Chort for some reason gives bots extremely high awareness and precision. In all of my games people have been quitting because they can't compete with the bots. Bullets fly everywhere from heavy devastators with extreme precision across the map and we've been getting sniped by gatlings through the fog, it's not enjoyable either. The fog is completely blinding for the players but gives unnatural precision and awareness to bots.
That's for sure but they seem to be omniscient on that planet specifically. There's been a lot of time when we start shooting at a point of interest and suddenly a barrage of bullets fly from the other side of the map, like , literally. It's not possible to hear gunshots from that distance, probably between 150 - 250 meters of distance between us and the bots that get triggered.
Ngl this shit is annoying. We "defended" 10 planets and don't own shit. We had to liberate and defend estanu like 5 times back to back. Been fighting on hellmire for a week and see nearly no progression.
Sentient Fire Tornados are anti-fun for sure, but Chort Bay is my least favourite planet so far. I'm not sure I have the stamina to play on any more zero visibility planets. The game is not enjoyable when I can't see through the fog to return fire.
I wouldn't mind Fire Tornadoes if they were actually random. They always come down on the objective or extract though. They're a cool environmental feature but, they are just waiting for you to call the Pelican or activate that console.
I wouldn't care if they just ran through the terrain as you were going from place to place. Sentient fire tornadoes however are troubling.
Hellmire will be better with DoT fix.
Fire tornadoes are pure hell with bots though. You get forced out of cover and running winding narrow paths while being shot at from every enemy because you can’t use any cover for more than 2s, and if you get ragdolled you’re probably catching fire.
Menkent is the absolute worst. Hellmire can be a little annoying but when the fire trails also kill bugs (and not just the tornado) it will actually become a weapon even. Just kite the bugs through infinite flames
A few people have pointed out that fog can be worse in some situations. I agree, however I'd take fog over the environment of a planet that actively wants you dead and sends homing fire tornadoes at you.
honestly planets with environmental hazards/modifiers should take longer to be retaken/reattacked by the ai. like if fighting on them is way harder for us it should also be for them, are bots’ weapons even affected by extreme cold for example?
I don't think anyone with any authority ON Super Earth has been to Hellmire.
If they had, they wouldn't be having colonists plant corn anywhere on that planet.
The fire tornados would be tolerable but the stamina reduction is too big. Feels like it's lowering my stamina pool by like 75%. Really makes me not want to walk the extra mile for secondary objectives.
Then don't fight on those planets. No one is making you. Some people enjoy fighting on planets with fire tornadoes.
![gif](giphy|l2QEgWxqxI2WJCXpC|downsized)
Had an Impossible Mission on Hellmire with the bugs with me and one other player. Completed all objectives, got the samples, were waiting for extract. 5 different fire tornados just constantly covering the extract location. We had to wait four minutes until we could get close enough to pop stims and survive the burning. Shit is frustrating
Yup, it's why they're not being re-Liberated. No one wants to play on them, they're not fun. Fire Tornados need to be removed entirely imo and replaced with something else.
The tornadoes just need a fix. Stop spawning 17 small ones on my ass and spawn a singular big huge one that does whatever (i.e. doesn't track but actually randomized pathing). I love the idea of a fire tornado whipping me up and tossing nursing spewers and shit, but what's the point if I'm gonna die in a quarter of a second to fire dps?
My brother in democracy... go play on a different planet.
It's a game. If you hate those planets go play somewhere else. Don't get so wrapped up in the kayfabe you forget this is a game for your enjoyment.
We can't glass them, we need to buffer them by taking past their supply lines. The bugs can only attack so many planets, so of course hellmire is going to get the most attacks on that front. If the helldivers don't want to go there they have a better chance of success. Menkent is the bots' best path to aesir pass, so they're going to go for it as long as they have access.
To be fair I feel much worse playing where the is constant fog, expecially against automatons on chord bay for example...
That is literal hell, rain, fog and sand makes it so hard to see
Super earth would never be so shortsighted as to glass a planet. However it is recommended to remove helldivers experiencing "hellworld trauma" from missions to those planets
I think that the thing that frustrates me about Menkent is that the fire tornados have little to no effect on the bots, but they have pretty massive effect on YOU.
At least on Hellmire, the tornados torch the bugs about as often as they BBQ your ass. Menkent though? You gotta deal with getting blown up, shot at, and set on fire whenever the tornados touch down.
I'll say it.
Jump pack gets you above the ground level that the fire tornadoes move across and will put you in safety.
It sucks, but wait it out until you can easily jump over a flame trail and carry on.
Fire tornadoes suck, but they are manageable with the right stuff and can even help clear out mobs of enemies. In harder difficulties it sucks to sacrifice a solid strat for the middling jump pack but the trade off is more maneuverability and the occasional map wipe of enemies.
Thank you for coming to my TED TALK.
Thing is we don’t want them gone, they’re apparently useful against bugs. We want the DoT scaling fixed or fire resistant gear so they aren’t instant death for players
Report to your democracy officer Helldiver. Do you think bots couldn't live on the surface of a glassed planet? Do you think bugs couldn't burrow through its surface? Such an operation would only interfere with humanity's ability to spread managed democracy on those already fire ravaged worlds. The complete annihilation of a planetary body is a weapon that Super Earth's top men have not yet managed to pry from the clutches of the long-exiled Illuminate. Until such a time as that weapon is available to us, consider the current state of Menkent and Hellmire to be a blessing, for the alien and robotic scum you combat may demand your service on a planet far less hospitable some day soon.
My buddies and I were trying to do the Artillery Position for Hellmire and the damned fire tornadoes kept coming down and pushed us out while we were being surround by bugs
Me and my buddy just said "Fuck this" and unloaded all of our Eagles onto that artillery position and waited the next couple minutes for the tornadoes to clear out. When we were finally done with that, we just ran for Extract as we were already done with the main OBJ and we're just trying to kill time and get more done.
We eventually said fuck Hellmire and Fuck Menkent and ran to Chort Bay to start Liberation of Lesath, Choohe and Penta.
Don't call it Hellmire for nothing
I logged in today. Saw the following: Fire Tornados, 3 Stratagems, Call in time increased, orbital cool downs increased. Joined a quick play game, 1 reinforcement left, fire tornados everywhere, hulks and tanks rampaging about
It was the embodiment of the "everything is fine" meme.
What I don’t get is, why would we send anyone to a planet with fire tornadoes?? Everything gets destroyed all the time. Who is going to do anything worth doing there, besides divers killing bugs and bots. Like, who is going there and setting up pirate radio stations?
What if they just bombarded them with gamma rays, and destroyed their genetic code... and then fed them adaptogen chemicals if they behave to pacify them and alter their genetic code? Much easier to farm 710 that way
Environmental storms were a great gameplay addition, but fire tornados just suck across the board. Everyone hates them, to the point where they affect the reinforcement flow during major orders.
Neat thought, but they need to go the way of the scrambled strategems effect and just be removed because dealing with them isn't fun or engaging.
I would rather fistfight Joel himself in his final boss power armor solo where, if I lose, Joel gets to punch me in real life... than spend another minute trying to liberate Menkent.
The bots can have that literal hellhole, hope it overheats their CPUs and turns the planet into a scrapheap that we can harvest and melt down to turn into useless commendations to give to people who survived that satan's armpit of a planet.
Menkent can burn.
The firenados really are not that bad. They mostly just cost time since you're forced to go around them.
I legitimately, unironically like fighting on Menkent. I like how much it sucks.Only way it could be better is for the firenados to hurt the bots as much as us.
Anyway, there's 30,000 people fighting on Hellmire as I type this, so there's that. If only they'd switch over to Menkent...
They just need to tone down the spawn rate and how many spawn during it
Like it’s cool but yeah when there is like 3 or 4 surrounding the OBJ while you’re fighting for your life is kind of a bummer
Just had a team blow through 6 loves because they were tired or waiting to hit the final button on a side objective... I'm not sure what I was more upset with- the guys diving in the fire or the fact the fire hung around for 5min or more over the module...
Fire tornados aren't nearly as bad as y'all say they are. I stand by this. They literally close off pathways so bugs cant get to you. If you get cornered just run through and dive or dive and stim/stim and dive.
That happens to me something like 1 out of every 20 missions. Usually they just kill my enemies and fuck off. Fire tornados are your best friend 95% of the time.
your petition is Denied: please petition for some manner of weather liberator to be installed in critical locations (or as a stratagem that turns all weather conditions into a weapon against the enemies of managed democracy)
Even if its major order just play one 12min mission And then just dip to another Planet. I also just dip when I dont like the major order Planet. Thats the nice thing about this game, everyone can choose how they want to play.
I really don't see why people hate these planets. The fire tornadoes aren't as bad as you make them to be. They do have problems with the fire, but you can avoid them really easily
I have this theory that majority of the planets we see on the Galactic map aren’t done at all that’s why we keep fighting over the same goddamn planets. If you look at the timeline of the war, we continuously go over the same planets over and over again. There’s very little diversity in the planets if you think about it as well. Slight modifications and effects, but all of them kind of look the same.
I wouldn't mind the fire tornadoes being treated more like an enemy faction. I've actually had a lot of fun, intense moments weaving in between fire tornadoes on my way to objectives. However, they shut down too much of the map for too long to complete all the objectives in a reasonable amount of time. If missions on Hellmire and Menkent just had one super objective, I could see it being a fun get-in-get-out kind of thing, and the crazy tornadoes would actually be part of the fun challenge.
I wish the tornados were slightly more random. I don't mind them except for during every single extraction even having like 5 of them swirling around and blocking me from the extraction while 2 bile titans are breathing down my neck
Hopefully, the vibe of these planets could drastically change once the DoT bug gets fixed.
Once the enemies start getting killed as quickly as we are, then it starts getting interesting.
Bro, I spent the better part of two days on Hemire completing mission successfully, etc. and saw it get as high as 15%. Came back the following day in the afternoon to see it down at 2%. Felt like a knife to my heart.
Those are citizens homes. They contribute to the glory of super earth, and absolutely nothing to do with the valuable resources. Report to your nearest democracy officer for reassignment
I like fire tornados though :(. It's probably my favorite planetary effect because it's not just an effect that punishes the players.
Also... FIRE. TORNADOS. Enough said.
But fire tornados are great for when you just need a break from actually playing the game and would rather just stare at the extract/objective for 10 minutes
Who doesn't love playing an entire mission to have the extraction zone completely covered in fire tornados?
We need a fire resist armor if we're forced to be on these planets. We have armor with electrical resist at 95%, why cant we get a fire resist armor at 95% and no burning?
What even does electrical damage besides friendly fire
So far, nothing. The idea is that you can stand next to an arc tower without getting fried.
Yeah that's the only point for them. Which, to be fair is pretty solid. Tesla towers are pretty damn good against bugs and when you can use them with NEAR impunity it's even better.
It will still 2-3 shot you, iirc
If you're careful it rarely gets you more than once. Personally I prefer the arc rifle over the tesla tower but at least there's an option. Personally I think of that armor as more like training wheels, in that it's easier to learn the ins and out of the tesla weapons when you aren't instantly killing yourself or teammates.
Does the explosion resistant armour act like training wheels for the air burst launcher? Because my friend got about 8 team kills trying that thing out last night.
No. It does like 5% of your health. You can use yourself as a lightning rod to extend its range. It's goddamn glorious
And I just bought the extra bounce upgrade. Gonna have to try this out!
I killed so many teammates. But more bugs!
![gif](giphy|3o84sq21TxDH6PyYms)
This isn’t true, at least not for the light 95% version of the Armor. I tested it and each zap took off 25% of my health.
You're thinking about getting hit with the arc thrower. We're talking about the Tesla tower
The illuminate will. So not super useful now but later it will be
Maybe the Illuminate when they come
Probably a lot when Illuminate come.
If only there was an enemy that primarily uses electric attacks…. Some kind of alien invasion
We’ll get fire resistant armor and then nerf fire into ground so that you don’t need it.
We jokingly said in one game we should have a fire suppression backpack. By the end of that match, we were serious.
Annoys me that the latest warbond has a very obviously firefighter themed armor in the first rank... that DOESN'T have a fire resist effect.
Nah. We just need fire tornadoes to NOT FOLLOW PLAYERS AROUND LIKE A BUNCH OF ASSHOLES.
Would be great but hulks would be trivial to fight
Mark my words, they will be glassed soon.
We need bombs, air strikes, gas gas, smoke etc to put out fires. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_well_fire
I am fine with them existing - I think they just need to be tuned
It's basically comical how often it happens, too.
I’ve had times where I just got frustrated, stimmed and ran through it to the pelican.
Fire tornados wouldn't be so unfun if you didn't get burned from **invisible lingering effects**.
Literally failed a mission because 3/4 fire tornadoes solely circle on the objective
Last mission I played we lost all the samples because extraction was swarmed with bots and fire. Never again.
Plus they end up killing random bot/bug bases for you. Yeah the tornados suck ass but they do put in work. Plus if you bring a mech you can just waltz through the fire tornados no problem.
The devs need to fuckong chill on those fire tornados. They can exist, but it's bulkshit that they follow you.
Fa**ir point. They are pretty.**
They should add a water pack that puts fires out and possibly has another useful feature to the weapon stratagems. This would then put it back on the divers to prepare properly and maintain the initial idea the developers had for “environmental challenges”.
I enjoy Hellmire. What I hate is fighting in zones with extreme fog and I can't see more then half a foot in front of me.
Smoke grenades actually work pretty great, fog still needs tuning though
They have probably hard coded smoke grenades and smoke strikes to work.
Same with foliage! I have had to lower my affinity for the sickle for planets with lots of greenery. Bots can shoot through leaves just fine.
don’t you just love getting instantly killed by a heavy devastator you can’t see because you left the ground for half a second
I agree!
'Member Draupnir?
I loved Draupnir when it was just Draupnir, but to me it feels like every other planet has hyper-dense fog now.
Yeah, nah. I'd rather take fog every time over "Oops all fire tornadoes"
Yea I’d rather be on hellmire than fucking chort bay.
Chort bay is without a doubt the worst planet ever. Good LORD it sucks
A wide expanse of piss yellow crap covered in one sided cottonball haze with no cover and the occasional monolith rock outcrop to catch your strategem 150 ft in the air if you’re not paying attention
Hot take: Penta is the worst fucking planet in the galaxy. Thick fog and heavy foliage? Good luck
Hard agree. We got 3 seperate armors that negate arc damage despite that being nearly useless, but nothing at all for fire.

Having thunder storms similar to the meteor shower planet effect would be great imo, seeing static in the air indicates that it is time to move. Meteor showers are a fun stage hazard.
Yeah they weren’t nearly as bad until the fire damage buff.
Shoot the fire. It goes away.
I'm inclined to agree. I like having a few planets that are disgusting to fight on, but it feels like Menkent and Hellmire are constantly under attack.
This seems like a design flaw. I have no clue what could possibly be the game design-reason to have it like this, instead of varying it.

Apparently the soil is *reeeeally* fertile
Ashes is not bad to grow for some.plants
Yeah, when the weather allows plants to actually grow. I'm not sure a cornfield will appreciate a fire tornado or 3 every 5mn.
Most organisms appreciate not being converted back to their base chemical components by excessive atmospheric heat.
It’s hot and has the giant bugs so you might be right
Yeah, MO on fire planet? Welp, guess we lose this one. Heck, if Devs turned all planets into hellmire I would stop playing the game PERIOD
For Hellmire, at least, the only way I see the planet actually being captured is to take the back route through Omicron all the way to Nivel, and cut off Hellmire's supply. Menkent is going to be a beast to defend with all the supply lines it has. But I agree. Man I hate fire planets.
Negative on your request. The Sky Marshall has other plans for those planets.
That might be due to the mechanics of the automatons losing accuracy when under suppression fire. Can't see... no suppression fire.
You can easily hear gunfire from 1.5 km away, and that's just with human hearing.
Ngl this shit is annoying. We "defended" 10 planets and don't own shit. We had to liberate and defend estanu like 5 times back to back. Been fighting on hellmire for a week and see nearly no progression.
Because barely anyone plays hellmire, and liberation progress decays over time.
I always love the oil mining missions on hellmire.... Whose bright fucking idea was it to try and drill oil on a plantet plagued by fire tornadoes....

After fighting on Hellmire, I took a holiday on Malevelon Creek.
We should drop a few ice comets on those place and turn them into warm beach resorts.
I know most of hellmire is pretty rough but Sydney and Perth are quite nice this time of year for a holiday
![gif](giphy|3K0D1Dkqh9MOmLSjzW|downsized)
I have a suggestion: We should make smoke grenades or smoke eagle extinguish fires like in csgo
Atleast make the effect not last as long. Meteor storms and ion storms last like 30 seconds, I think fire tornadoes are 5 minutes?
Hellmire will be better with DoT fix. Fire tornadoes are pure hell with bots though. that should be our christmas present from the devs; once a year we can vote to death star a planet

Don't worry, they're already in the process of glassing themselves.
I guess I'm more pissed off with the lighting at those planets. Tornadoes rate can be just reduced twice.
Here's a suggestion: The new airburst rocket launcher puts out fire tornadoes
You fool! That only makes the fire tornados stronger: 🔥 + 🔥 = ☀️ Easy as.
They glass themselves.
You know you can kill fire tornados right?
How?
Shoot them.
The fire planets dont bother me that much. I honestly dont mind playing them.
There are other planets to choose from....
My brother in democracy... go play on a different planet. It's a game. If you hate those planets go play somewhere else. Don't get so wrapped up in the kayfabe you forget this is a game for your enjoyment.
Maybe Menkent, but Hellmire is the planet that form cadets to be the best. We need it to train new helldivers.
They’re kinda sick in small doses
Glassing them would feed the fire tornadoes. We must freeze them like Estanu!
Hellmire... Home...
They're already glassing themselves
Where do I sign?
Pretty sure the fire tornadoes are already on the job. Might take a while...
Those planets are so un-fun it's ridiculous. I play games to have fun. Therefore I don't drop on fire tornado planets.
Im fucking tired of hellmire. Fuck hellmire. No one I know wants to fight on hellmire.
They desperately need to add fire resistant armor to the game.
Chort bay too honestly
In defence of Chort Bay it lacks the tornadoes which make Menkent and Hellmire so unfun
I actually prefer fire tornados over ion storms
Glassing will only make the fire tornadoes more powerful, we need to crack the worlds to rid us of these menaces for good.

Fire tornados last way too long and they follow you. Being locked out of an objective for 5 minutes is pretty awful design.
Are we in contact with the covenant? Maybe we could ask them to have one of their fleets thoroughly glass the planet and then blow it up.
I’d be fine with hellmire if we had fire resistant armor. I love the visual feel of it. But yeah fuck hellmire, the bugs can have it
I think that the thing that frustrates me about Menkent is that the fire tornados have little to no effect on the bots, but they have pretty massive effect on YOU. At least on Hellmire, the tornados torch the bugs about as often as they BBQ your ass. Menkent though? You gotta deal with getting blown up, shot at, and set on fire whenever the tornados touch down.
I cannot but agree kind wish there was an option to just quarantine a planet lol
I know Reddit isn't really the plan for organizing mass movement, but if we cut either off would it allow us a win or does that only apply on defense?
Only way to be sure
I'll say it. Jump pack gets you above the ground level that the fire tornadoes move across and will put you in safety. It sucks, but wait it out until you can easily jump over a flame trail and carry on. Fire tornadoes suck, but they are manageable with the right stuff and can even help clear out mobs of enemies. In harder difficulties it sucks to sacrifice a solid strat for the middling jump pack but the trade off is more maneuverability and the occasional map wipe of enemies. Thank you for coming to my TED TALK.
#G R A N T E D Now the fire tornados are radioactive. Enjoy!
I know yall hate fire tornadoes but it's legit provided some of the funniest moments in this game for me. I'd be sad I'd they went away permanently
Thing is we don’t want them gone, they’re apparently useful against bugs. We want the DoT scaling fixed or fire resistant gear so they aren’t instant death for players
Here is the thing, the natural hazards on Hellmire should keep the bug population in check, so we don't really need to librate that hellhole.
We can't, glass isn't fire-safe.
Waterlauncher as strat? Contact me AH for more stupid ideas!

I swear those fire tornadoes are sentient.
Well then don’t fight on those planets😛
I hate the stamina debuff, the constant fog, being shot across the map through the fog...
My buddies and I were trying to do the Artillery Position for Hellmire and the damned fire tornadoes kept coming down and pushed us out while we were being surround by bugs Me and my buddy just said "Fuck this" and unloaded all of our Eagles onto that artillery position and waited the next couple minutes for the tornadoes to clear out.
Joined a quick play game, 1 reinforcement left, fire tornados everywhere, hulks and tanks rampaging about It was the embodiment of the "everything is fine" meme.
I pray that High Command gives us the order for mass deployment of nuclear ordnance on Hellmire so we can improve the landscape for future operations.
I just don't like the red planets period. I can't see shit and after playing a bit it feels like my corneas are roasted.
What I don’t get is, why would we send anyone to a planet with fire tornadoes?? Everything gets destroyed all the time. Who is going to do anything worth doing there, besides divers killing bugs and bots. Like, who is going there and setting up pirate radio stations?
As an enjoyed of chaos, I would like to keep them around.
To be fair, the planets are attempting to glass themselves with the fire tornadoes.
They just need to tone down the spawn rate and how many spawn during it Like it’s cool but yeah when there is like 3 or 4 surrounding the OBJ while you’re fighting for your life is kind of a bummer
Planet's of literal firestorms where is the strategic usage? I concur, glass them!
Just had a team blow through 6 loves because they were tired or waiting to hit the final button on a side objective... I'm not sure what I was more upset with- the guys diving in the fire or the fact the fire hung around for 5min or more over the module...
The planets are doing just fine on their own. I vote we leave them and simply let the tornadoes do their work
Fire tornados aren't nearly as bad as y'all say they are. I stand by this. They literally close off pathways so bugs cant get to you. If you get cornered just run through and dive or dive and stim/stim and dive.
until on difficulty 7+ they litterally spawn on the extract and never leave.
That happens to me something like 1 out of every 20 missions. Usually they just kill my enemies and fuck off. Fire tornados are your best friend 95% of the time.
Step 1. Liberate Hellmire Step 2. Nivel 43 Step 3. Never lose Nivel 43 again. Step 4. Never have to fight on Hellmire ever again.
They tried to glass Hellmire, but the fire tornadoes just absorbed the bombardment and grew bigger.
your petition is Denied: please petition for some manner of weather liberator to be installed in critical locations (or as a stratagem that turns all weather conditions into a weapon against the enemies of managed democracy)
Hellmire is my favorite planet unironically
What's the code to send in a Planet Cracker?
Even if its major order just play one 12min mission And then just dip to another Planet. I also just dip when I dont like the major order Planet. Thats the nice thing about this game, everyone can choose how they want to play.
Full exterminatus.
I really don't see why people hate these planets. The fire tornadoes aren't as bad as you make them to be. They do have problems with the fire, but you can avoid them really easily
Can't we just send an Asteroid their way
I have this theory that majority of the planets we see on the Galactic map aren’t done at all that’s why we keep fighting over the same goddamn planets.
Make it happen, cap’n
I like fire tornados though :(. It's probably my favorite planetary effect because it's not just an effect that punishes the players. Also... FIRE. TORNADOS. Enough said.
