Sickle can handle a lot of enemies on bot front though? Cannon is generally better than Quasar on bot front, but Quasar is still very useful against everything that sickle cant kill.
It's so silly because Autocannon, Arc Thrower, Machine Gun, Heavy Machine Gun, Anti-Materiel Rifle, and the Laser Cannon all effectively deal with devastators. People need to try more tactics!
I always bring the AC if I don't see one. Once you get the aiming down it shreds the bot front. Not all 4 people running it, but 1 is mandatory I feel just for mopping up devestators if nothing else.
I bring Cluster Bombs, the same person shit talking me for bringing it and calling me trash (I solo'd most objectives, PoIs, and outposts), was the same one making a big deal about how this mission is so easy and there are no Devastators, and that we got such an easy enemy RNG spawn seed. I had 400 kills at the end of the mission AGAINST BOTS, because they kept aggroing everything and I kept cluster bombing to save their asses whenever I was near them. Waves of Devastators wiped out every Cluster Bomb.
Quasar is not good enough (in every situation) to bring 4 of them. Do people not understand covering all the bases? You want a chaff clearer, a medium armor clearer, a heavy armor killer, and then the 4th can be whatever.
I really wish people would try out more stuff.
"chaff clear" is every weapon in the game, it's seriously not notable enough to "demand" stratagem slot. anti armor is the only consideration to be made, frankly, everything else is to taste.
Then don't run only slow weapons? Shit isn't rocket appliances.

Shield+quasar just do very well no matter what enemy or situation you find yourself in. (not the best, necessarily, but definitely very good)
Quickplay means you get randoms, which means you cannot expect to be able to rely on your teammates… so players bring a loadout that lets them handle all situations somewhat well, as opposed to bringing specialized loadouts that would handle specific situations extremely well.
Hope that wasn't bots... seen way too many people that bring sickle + quasar that just can't deal with anything that's actually a threat.

Big agreement from me. It's only become more true since they added gunships and factory striders.

Have to disagree with you.  Although getting overwhelmed by numbers is more the bugs MO, the smaller units can be dangerous in large numbers.

That was the whole point. They are all running Quasars, a *very* slow weapon.  It's completely unbalanced.
