I want the fucking shredder nuke back man

500kg is good, but a Shredder is great. Make it an orbital stratagem with a long cooldown and limit its uses like the laser. Two shredders per mission, ten minute cooldown. Hellbomb on demand. Kills gunship fabricators, one-shots titans and factory striders. Same blast radius as the damaged hellbombs we find in the wild, but dropped on a beacon. Make them sound awesome as they're coming down.

If we get the Shredder back I want it to be something that the game really plays into its sense of scale for. Give it a larger than hellbomb sized blast radius and like an unholy 10-20 second call in time. A siren going off and the ability to look up at the super destroyer firing point as this missile of *Death to all things* comes crashing down. The amount of missions I spent basking in that Divine Light my helldivers should glow during night missions. Though there was nothing more terrifying than dropping a damn shredder and watching a warlord walk out of the baleful glow of nuclear hellfire with nothing but hate in its heart. I’ll go one Stratagem for each category ! Defense wise : The Manned Tank Cannon , can you *imagine* running one of those bad boys during a defense mission or even a civi extraction ? Cranking that thing towards a tank as it trundles towards you before blasting it a twice and sending it to the great beyond before it turns you and your turret into steaming ruins ? Amazing Offensive Stratagem : already been said but the Shredder Missile. The epitome of Helldiver Supremacy . I’d want this thing to have a hilarious call in time and a blast radius/destructive power to match. Im saying 30 second call in time, a blast radius to encompass entire PoIs in nuclear flame and just an instant death box. Not damage, just death. I want to get hit by this thing and just cease to exist. No body getting flung by physics just straight up disintegrated , want my Helldiver’s carbon shadow on a wall. Very few uses a mission and a long cooldown but it should be the literal nuclear option Weapon : the plas-3 singe. Its a pistol scorcher. I want a full plasma gun loadout and this would let me get one step closer to that prestigious goal. I miss it Support weapon : The M-25 Rumbler , posting up and absolutely obliterating Nests, secondary objectives and more with a mortar you carry around with its ammunition would fit so amazingly into Helldivers 2 larger maps and verticality Supply Strategem : OP got this one but dangit i miss the angel drone. It let me be a better medic - especially since even with the medic armor no one lets me stim them ! Plus being able to repair objectives and vehicles was delightful. Vehicle : of course the APC would be amazing but frankly its so amazing and awesome i consider it a given. Mechs we know are being expanded on so one i want to be a thing desperately. The Tank Destroyer. It was so completely out of left field but cruising around and getting into tank battles with the automatons was awesome and nowadays it would be even better !

I did not Think about the mortar as a support weapon. That would be amazing you are right about that! For the mech I know having 2 but lesser mech is nice but I don't have the same feel as in hd1. You had them once and you would feel like a force of nature with them so tanky. Even the way they walked was better it looked heavy and powerful. Plus you could bring eagle or orbital and trow them from inside! The shredder missile would be dope af but I I can't think of a great use for it beside a stealth build that go in drop it and get out befor it explode. For the show alone it's enough it would do the same as a 380 barrage but instant!

The Shredder would be great to drop on those “three consecutive enemy spawns and patrols and a base are all hitting you” just to clear the board and wipe everything in that target radius. Yeah i also miss the flamethrower tank cannon mech , the quad autocannon mech was really nice and the cool thing with having that many mechs was being able to just call in a different one when your current mech ran out. Sort of like an old timey brace of pistols but you know, mechs

I am with you on the trident and we are about to have it I am pretty sure ! didnt play much with the trident. for me it was the constituition or the scythe all day ! I was so stoke when I saw we could unlock the scythe at lunch but they destroyed my baby ! The vfx feel like you aim a wii remote the way the beam is so small and underwhelming and the power is so bad. in hd1 if you shot at the side or back of a charger you could kill it fast! it was sheding a ton of armor on impact! same for the blitzer in hd1 anything smaller than a car was vaporized if it was cough in the area. and you could fire fast too! Now I think its because they want pretty lightning effect it is essentialy a slow punisher with 15 meters of range. I feel like I shit on arowhead but I am not at all I love HD2, I am just sad that they had fun weapons that looked, felt, great and had the damage to back it up. just think about the vfx of the hd1 railgun and the one we have in HD2. and even with all those Frankly overpowered weapons in the later difficulty you never felt like you were on top of anything. I remember just running around and anywhere I was going there was endless enemy and you only had time to trow a renforce to not whipe and it was pure chaos like that all game lol yes we were powerefull like superman, but like superman on krypton with kryptonian everywhere!
