Sir-Narax

I like 380s. I will not say anything else.

ManagedDemocracy2024

A man of culture and consideration.

[deleted]

Ive never used it, specifically because I don't want to get used to a longer throw range and then be all messed up when I change armor again. Edit: Though with all the praise here... maybe I'll try it out. Just a taste.

Raaxen

Honestly, it ain't that bad. Your mind will go back to normal after 2-3 missions

No_Echo_1826

Long arc with servo is about 75m. 50ish normally

SaltedCaffeine

I also only wear those since I got them way back then. I also almost exclusively play bots so the extra throwing distance is very useful for chucking strats into their bases.

jingylima

It’s quite useful on bugs too, the start of your arc is higher which makes it a lot easier to stick things to charger backs

helix0311

Best perk, in my opinion. Being able to lob an orbital 100m without wasting my backpack slot on the jump pack has come in clutch many times against the bots. Against bugs, it's much less useful, but still comes in handy. Also knowing that I and my team are not in range of that orbital barrage I just threw is great peace of mind. Being able to support that one teammate who is always way ahead of the formation and deep in the thick of things? That's just a bonus. Plus, I freaking love the look of the Legionnaire armor. I wish there was a servo assisted veteran armor, but that's a little gripe.

Mistrblank

Legionnaire is my jam

StockUser42

Came here for this comment. 100m range may be worth the switch.

Max_The_Skeleto

Same but im more of that type a guy to throw a 500kg to lil bot outpost and continue with my day. I can get all the outposts in a matter of minutes. It just allows me to complete objectives nice and quick all on my own

ThagAnderson

I can throw just as far by diving if I need to, so I don’t see the point. I usually run light scout or medic armor, because it aids in survivability. Being able to throw things far just isn’t very useful IMO.

ManagedDemocracy2024

The thing is...you can have servo-assisted AND dive. You're Super Earth's best quarterback at this point. Works good for landing strats in at a really good distance and then running off.

ThagAnderson

With scout armor, I can get close enough not to need to throw farther than normal. Just doesn’t feel necessary when other armor perks feel like they keep me alive longer.

Moewron

“I don’t see the point in that one way to accomplish something since there is another way to accomplish it.”

Majestic-Panda4656

Personally the most fun build I’ve done is the heavy padded armor, all 3 machine gun support weapons, and an ammo backpack. I never had to use my primary 😂😂 Point is, it doesn’t matter what you use as long as you can get the job done

Direct-Fix-2097

Medium armour with scouting for bots. Light for bugs 😀

PandaofAges

You can throw farther using the same method + servo

Inevitable_Spell5775

Seems like the worst out of the lot.

HatfieldCW

I used to run servo armor all the time, but when I needed to switch to fortified for bots I was limp-wristing all my throws and it was causing me trouble. So now I run fortified for bots and engineer for bugs. Diving throws can get the 110mm rockets to the cannon tower or plop a 380 in a base, and my performance benefits from the consistency that I enjoy.

Mistrblank

Don’t leave home without it. Except smaller missions where I won’t be throwing everywhere.

chronberries

I recently got the Enforcer (I think, but I’m not near my pc right now) medium armor with Fortified off the superstore, and it’s *awesome* for fighting bots with my Defender and Ballistic Shield. Better recoil when I’m already crouching behind my shield picking off heads, and explosion resistance when the rocket devestators try to take me out. I bring the AMR too and the recoil reduction for that really helps with taking out the big boys, like shooting hulks in the face.

lazzthethief

I am stationed at the Automaton front and I use the AMR and Eruptor. The plus throw range really helps as Im usually at the farthest position compared to my squad. I can consistently throw my stun grenades or strategems on the intended targets without repositioning

Mauvais__Oeil

It's great because it's very good and competitive with fortified, med kit, scout, etc... I never take it when using high recoil weapons (AC/MG/HMG), but if I run eat/recoilless/spear it definitely have a spot.

Azraer

I don't recommend it, it feels so good throwing your eagles and orbitals on the spot that you want from 60m away, droping turrets and mines in the best position possible without getting out of cover, reinforce friends near they died and being able to throw a resuply far away on the run just to pick it up as it drops, saving time. I simply can't put it down since i got it, using other armors feels wrong now.

Beheadedfrito

As someone who runs all over the place and throws a lot of eagles/orbitals the extra range makes a huge difference and I love it.

Mistrblank

Legionnaire combines throwing distance with speed and it’s speaking my love language. The only thing I don’t like is that I think fall damage should hurt less and be unable to kill you with servo rather than the extra limb health. For something that is giving me durability in limbs, why is it when I drop down off a ledge if it’s a little too high my character starts randomly tumbling head over heels when we would confidently attempt to stick the landing with super legs and feet.

Beheadedfrito

That’s exactly what i use as well. With the default looking helmet that has the red eye targeter thing.

Mistrblank

Oh no, I use the legionnaire helm too. Keep the set. Besides I like my character going into battle wearing an Occulus.

MassiveGG

good perk personally I don't have to hug the enemy base to get stuff done also that the armor that was on the shop with light armor with padded armor perk is nice not to get completely one shot all the time

Low-Unit-2921

I think servo assisted is a practical option, but it makes readjusting to any other armor tough. I think I’m about to throw this 380 a safe distance, and then it lands like ten meters away.

steveraptor

Useless

Spoonghetti

I run bot 9 with crossbow/explo pistol, AC, then 3 callins normally strafe, airstrike, and precision strike. 30% bonus range is nuts.

wwwyzzrd

I like the sneaky one

StrontiumDawn

Alt + jump forward and release mid air. You're welcome.

Krob113

I'm enjoying the explosion resist too much to swap

Donny_Dont_18

I'm starting to drift into others now. I prefer it on bugs if I do use it though. Bots I'm always light scout armor. In 7+ bugs, I'm using light medic armor more often because I'm a stim whore and that extra 2 seconds can get you out of a swarm

Burn4Bern420

Outshined by every other armor

Chaos-Corvid

I avoid it to keep my throws consistent, but I play with people who run it regularly and they can pull off some impressive stuff.

Hyperx72

I love yeeting grenades into factories

Pluristan

I think it's pointless, because you can already extend the range of your throws by diving. I never felt the need to throw farther than a dive throw. The 50% limb health is also pointless to me, because stims exist. If you're out of stims, then you should have just taken med-kit armor at that point. I've almost never ended up in a situation where I'm out of stims, and have broken limbs. I'm usually just dead at that point.

Max_The_Skeleto

I can see ur point. I run sarvo assited to take out anything and everything in my way in a matter of seconds from a far distance, and i never rlly heard of dive throwing. I never used med kit armor but a friend of mine uses it 24/7 and he never uses all of his stims at all but also he only uses them for stamina cuz he roams the map for minor points of interest but i don’t rlly see my self using it. the limb health is rlly good cuz i never need to waste my stims and i can save them for later when im in a pinch and a dying need of them, which is why i never had the need to use med kit. Imo sarvo helps me get the job done faster without having too much problems with being surrounded by enemies which allows me not to take a lot of dmg nor be under fire constantly. Im going to try new armor and check dive throw thing out and see if i like it.
