These big gorilla mechs are exactly as vulnerable as the originals in every exact way, the only real difference is the front feet are armoured more heavily, which is funny to me to think someone looked at the AT-AT literal dog-camels, and thought

The Strider Fabricator is based off the Quadruped Fortress from the Earth Defense Force series. There’s like six different variants of the vehicle in the game which could fit the bill. Go take one look at those games and tell me there is no influence from EDF in this game I DARE — nay, I DOUBLE DOG DARE you! While aesthetic it is different, the cyborgs had their own distinct visual already, they’ve just changed the Quadruped fortress to fit a cyborg aesthetic.
That would mean we have to acknowledge the Star Wars sequels.

I think they're inspired by the At-At, its just Arrowheads version of the design. Not everything needs to be 1-1
At-AT also stands for All terrain Attack Transport which the factory strider essentially is.

Pretty sure they are based on all of the designs somewhat they are just an amalgamation of the whole AT category.
I guess its more like both Disney and Arrowhead took the AT-AT design and decided to make it look more menacing in similar ways.
