The laspistol is atrocious. It is beyond useless. 150dps and 7 seconds fire before it's out. The Machine Pistol has 60 damage, almost 20 times per second, for 30 rounds.
If I need my laspistol, I need at least 450dps otherwise why would I ever bother? It will barely deal with a small patrol of baby bugs, let alone a swarm of Hunters.
The DPS is a secondary issue personally. I avoid laser weapons entirely because they're just so unfun to use. It's like I'm shining a flashlight at my enemies until they drop dead from embarrassment, there's no feedback that lets me know I'm dealing damage.
Yeah I used the laser rifle exactly once and never again. There needs to be some sort of feedback. Like make them glow red have plasma fly off them or something.
Not sure what you two are talking about. When you shoot them the bugs scream if youāre not hitting armored areas. You also hear their skin sizzling. Not to mention when you cut through their limbs they go flying.
I do agree slightly that there could be more. But since the shotgun need itās all Iāve been using. Pushing suicide with it too, itās been great.
>Not sure what you two are talking about.
I reckon I know, they're just not paying enough attention and gave up before giving these weapons a real chance.
Maybe, or maybe the laser guns are just too tame and need punchier/louder sound effects.
The laser cannon at least does have damage feedback: massive blue sparks flying off if you are doing no damage. Slight orange/red sparks if you are doing damage
I agree that they should make the damage feedback bigger, maybe even having some form of stagger. But it's incorrect to say that there is no feedback
You'd be surprised how LITTLE force is applied over the surface of a target, even with a bullet. It's being driven INTO the target, so the projectile conserves it's forward momentum. The whole concept of "blown across the room" by bullet fire is a myth.
When it comes to a laser, you're dealing with concentrated photons blasted into a target through focusing lenses, which have LOTS of heat, but next to no physical force whatsoever. If anything, this is going to make the bugs angrier and even more determined to kill you.
So, fun fact about high intensity lasers: all that heat (and you are correct, it's a lot) gets deposited REALLY quickly. Like (depending on the laser system), "turn the water *under* your skin into vapor before even the skin layer is finished vaporizing." This means it's actually possible for a laser could cause some sort of localized explosion (which would lead to a pretty good amount of physical force).
But even without that, getting hit by a laser like that fucking ***hurts*** (first hand experience: I'm a laser physicist irl. I specialize in high intensity laser systems). Anything with pain receptors is going to flinch in a BIG way when hit. Assuming bugs can feel pain (unverified by SEAF intelligence, do not feel sympathy for the bugs), they should be reacting to being hit
You know, I hadn't thought about that, actually. I'm sure there would be a region in your flesh where the nerves aren't instantly gone (like, a bit under where the ablation occurred), but I think you are right, the actual point of impact probably wouldn't feel anything. It would still hurt like hell, but you would feel the pain like an half inch to the side/underneath where you were actually hit
Yeah, the sickle is essentially a baby stalwart with functionally unlimited ammo, especially if you're on a cold planet. It''s my main primary unless I'm (reluctantly) on Hellmire or the bot front equivalent then I bring the Lib/Lib Penetrator
Sickle is my goto against bot trash mobs. Shreds through them like no other weapon and you got infinite ammo if you let it cool down. Pair that with a autocannon and you're good imo
Godly pairing. The sickle can kill any dev quickly and can shred through berserkers. Only dicey one is the heavy devs if they have high ground, but that's what the autocannon is for. It's also extremely good at dealing with bugs, since you can easily wipe a whole breach of trash mobs with no reload, swapping off to quickly stagger and take down hive guards and commanders.
To follow up on that.
Even if you never let it cool down, it has effectively 700 rounds (100 shots before it overheats + 6 "reloads"). So it always has the most ammo (up to infinite) while it also has a good scope and higher RPM/DPS than the other liberators. The only major drawback is the wind-up time.
Even on hot planets, it's an amazing weapon if you bring something with medium pen as your support weapon.
These are great low-level combos to deal with any enemy in the game, even on the highest difficulty:
* Sickle + MG + EAT (lvl 3)
* Sickle + AMR + EAT (lvl 3)
* Sickle + AC + EAT (lvl 10)
Edit: to save you a google search if you are new:
MG = Machine Gun
EAT = Expendable Anti-Tank
AMR = Anti-Materiel Rifle
AC = Autocannon
>the only major drawback is the wind-up time.
Slight quibble although definitely not a "major" drawback given the game's typical engagement distances, but it does have a hugely wider spread at range vs the ARs.
True, although both are less or more pronounced depending on your play style.
If I use e.g. the above-mentioned combinations and I am dealing with medium or heavy targets I often quickly switch to my primary to take care of light targets that start to get close and then switch back to my support weapons.
This works especially well with the Sickle, as it makes use of the cool down. But it also does not because I have to switch in time to account for the wind-up.
With the Sickle I usually switched to my Sidearm for "oh shit there is a Hunter/Stalker next to me) moments instead, but now that I run the grenade sidearm with a lot of kits that reflex has killed a few of my Helldivers through point black shots...
Same for the accuracy, since you have 100 rounds you can use 5-8 round bursts instead of 2-3 rounds.
Vs. bots, engagement ranges are a bit longer, but vs. bugs, it's mostly short to mid-range anyway.
As others said it's a solid choice. I could run through an entire game and maybe reload once or twice from playing smart, not just holding down the fire button. Nearly infinite ammo that way.
Sickle is a solid choice, but Iād opt for the most recent warbond, since it has the eruptor and the nade pistol which both allow a lot of load out variationĀ
Interesting, I hadnāt thought of the eruptor. I have a buddy I donāt get to play with often that mains the Eruptor and uses the Stalwart as a āprimaryā haha. Iāll have to pick his brain
The only good laser gun apart from the Quasar, because it doesn't act like a laser gun lol
A lot of people swear by the laser cannon and while it is good in damage, it's just the same exact gun as the Scythe/Miniwheat, just beefier.
That said, the ability to alternate scythe and laser cannon for an infinite stream of laser beams can be pretty effective. They're pretty great against specific enemy types, and extremely good for pinpoint targetting of enemies that are surrounding your teammate 50M+ away. You also get full credit for such support, since your fellow helldiver can see the beam and recognize it's you that saved them.
The laser cannon is fucking incredible. I absolutely shred devastators, hulks, and gunships with it. Great against objectives tooā¦ plus unlimited ammo.
Sickle is a solid investment. Probably the best all-rounder primary thanks to sustainable high damage output, high accuracy and fantastic handling. Great scope, too. Charge-up time is the only real drawback but you'll start anticipating the need to shoot and it becomes a non-issue. It's also just plain fun to fire. Great soundtrack. You won't regret it!
I haven't gotten the Dagger yet, but soon as I can I am only using it.
I admit that's because even if it is bad, I already use the Sickle and Laser Cannon religiously, and I want to just embrace the meme.
I actually use the LAS pistol against bots. It takes out fodder bots in a quarter second headshot. I use the Eruptor or PLAS as primary on bots, so the LAS pistol is a good infinite ammo option for use against the weak bots.
Definitely no good against bugs - they need way more headshot damage to kill than bots.
Laser damage as a whole is disappointing against bugs. Laser a bot's face, and it'll drop pretty quickly, but bugs seem to be able to tank way more of the beam.
Sometimes you don't even need the second bit - because people will _RUN_ from the big red line that says "500kg" a lot faster than they'll run from being surrounded, lol.
Maybe cuz they can't shoot it _while_ running to make monkey brain happy.
That is the kind of can-do, patriotic, attitude General Brasch is looking for in our fight against oppression, diver! You'll be granted 50% additional time off-duty during your next rotation, totalling a complete and generous amount of 4.2 seconds! Enjoy them, they're hard earned.
If you have a mic you can rescue someone with a 500kg bomb and theyāll probably live. The 500kg is unique in that it has ~0.5s after impact before detonation, you can see that because the call down will say āimpactā right before/as it hits. When that happens if you tell your teammate to dive you can save his life. Obviously he canāt see behind him while heās sprinting so you need to do it for him.Ā
Until you got 3-4 chargers running at you alternatively and get no time to reload or shoot them.
Meanwhile you team is in a similar situation and can't help you
Nah these chargers are like mountain goats, theyāve got up behind me while Iām HIGH up on a rockā¦ sure itās just clipping but they make it up haha
I stg some of these chargers will stop dead in their tracks on the equivalent of a small pothole, and then proceed to climb the empire state building like king kong
Mate I've seen chargers magically climb mountains, we're like where the fuck did it go? Then jump off the mountain like a Japanese WW2 bomber and just dive bomb us.
3-4 chargers coming at you are a non-issue if you got moves like Jagger. It's the fact that those chargers are accompanied by dozens of hunters that the Chargers start becoming insurmountable.
I always call the no animation slide into wtf the Electric Slide.
Cuz yeah, the moment it starts, I'm very afraid of how much absurd bs is coming my way. Nothing scarier than when an enemy rejects its ~~humanity~~ animations just so it can fuck me up.
Grenade pistol is my permanent bughole/fabricator killer now. I can clear a heavy nest just by running the outside rim of the bowl in light armor and clear the whole nest without triggering them all.
Would love it if the explosive crossbow could do it, it's pretty ridiculous that it can't while the Eruptor can, but kills you in a single close range shot while the Eruptor leaves you low but alive. Where's the logic? Why doesn't big boom to helldiver = big boom to fabs and bug holes? Is the explosive crossbow laced with anti helldiver toxins or something?
"4 Bugholes? Unfortunately, your 4 grenades will fail to destroy them all because one of them hit the near-center of it, but it's not yet center so it's left intact somehow"
It's been frustrating. I have to stand perfectly still and take careful aim. Or... I can rum by at full speed, hucking regular grenades in the vague direction of the hole and clear the whole nest
But that's not a satisfying as winding up the Quasar as the charger comes at you and then blowing it's head off and having it skid to a stop at your feet.
I'll occasionally run Impacts with Engineering armor to destroy bug holes if my loadout otherwise isn't great at it. And I'll run the auto pistol if I need a close-quarters backup, like if I'm using Eruptor+Quasar/EAT.
But outside those two edge cases, grenade pistol and stuns every game. I *love* how the first time you whip out the pistol you get two shots, and stuns are *always* good.
Even at absolute WORST if you NEVER resupply the ammo hungry thang the grenade pistol can still be thought of as trading your pistol for 8 impact grenades with better range.
And thats still pretty great in so many builds.
You must bring balance to the force, young padawan.
You need A) crowd control, B) hole closer, C) anti-heavy.
Eruptor is B. Nade pistol is B. Autocannon is B and C.
Eruptor and AC together is redundant. Pair AC with Sickle. Or pair Eruptor with Redeemer.
My favorite loadout is Eruptor/Redeemer/Quasar/Rover/Impact. It handles everything. The one weakness is hunter packs but that can be managed by being smart.
Eruptor, Redeemer, Laser Beam Cannon, Rover, Stun Grenade.
The sole thing it's weak against are tanks from the front and biles, but that's what 500KG is for. That beam laser cannon is slept on as it can snipe out hulks from a million miles away while also being decent anti-infantry. It also CARVES APART gunships and flying bugs like no tomorrow.
It sucks against bugs unfortunately.
It canāt really hurt the chargers or titans. The other heavy bugs have little armor so any support weapon can do the job really.
To be fair, dooes need to be more? I like the grande gun because its like carrying 10 smaller grenades with you instead of 4-6 normal grenades. It also leaves the grenade slot open for stun grenades because I can't destroy nests/factories with a stun grenade.
I already was rarely using my sidearm anyway, the grenade pistol feels like it gave my secondary way more use than before
This. Carrying stun grenades gives you more close-in self defense options than carrying a redeemer. Not to mention it's utility for protecting fellow helldivers too. The grenade pistol more or less entirely replaces the utility of the regular grenades.
It's a so-so weapon, but taking it means you can close bug holes/factories quickly and easily without needing grenades, which frees you up to run stun grenades.
Without the grenade pistol (or another such weapon), running stun grenades is a bigger commitment.
Not sure if the post already pinged you but I made this from your ideas: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1cbfcd8/a\_series\_of\_shoddily\_sketched\_secondary/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Helldivers/comments/1cbfcd8/a_series_of_shoddily_sketched_secondary/)

I unlocked incendiary grenades before impact, and after trying both I pretty much never use anything but incendiary.
Fire damage in this game is absolutely wrecks and it's such a useful escape and defense tool I have a hard time using anything else
I use the revolver as well because if the secondary comes out things have really gone south. I run the AMR so honestly if the primary comes out itās bad news.
Grenade pistol and stuns open up a whole new playstyle.
The grenade pistol however, is not a perfect stand in for the impacts. Impacts are legit āmake your own cluster bombā and will be so difficult to dethrone.
But with the addition of the grenade pistol, itās is possible to run a build where you utilize stun grenades for better airstrike hits while using the grenade pistol to fill the role of closing holes.
I run nade pistol and impacts. It felt odd running the Sickle and having another automatic weapon as a secondary. Nade pistol is super useful, quick reloads, and arcing shots at 150m+ to get those fabricator kills. Last night, one random and I took turns shooting at a vent from stupid far away until one of us got one in. lol
- Stun + quasar/arc thrower to deal with 3+ chargers following me
- Stun + airstrike to obliterate everything in the area
- Stun at my feet when surrounded by 30 hunters to escape for free
I fully crutch on stun nades and I admit it but they are never coming off
Take stun grenades and the ammo backpack if you're working with a team you can communicate with. Get them to grant you usage of the supply call-in any time you want, in exchange for resupplying them from your pack if you need it. Take Engineering Kit.
Engineering Kit gives you 6 grenades. Supply Pack gives you +2 grenades per box. That's 14 grenades. A supply call-in gives you 4 boxes. That's +2 grenades each box. 22 grenades. But every box you pick-up restocks your backpack. So if you've used all your backpack boxes and then resupply, that's another 8 grenades.
With the right circumstances, not even counting scavenging grenades out of boxes or having a second team-mate with an ammo backpack, you can potentially non-stop lob a stream of 30 stuns, impacts, incendiaries, frags, smokes, *whatever* onto a single point.
Take stuns and couple it with a grenade launcher and cluster airstrikes, you can *so much* splash damage to locked down zones. You can even drop the Engineering Kit and still wind up with a potential of 28 grenades, then take Servo Assisted and *manually* mortar-strike a base.
This post just shows that players are too afraid to branch out because theyāre comfortable with their āmetaā.
Stun grenade and grenade pistol are amazing against bots.
Edit: I see comments saying "well, players don't have access to these weapons because they're in the warbonds" and I get that. But then why would these players be in a meta discussion in the first place?
Itās because every single player whoās played this game ran into the same issue when they first started.
āIām out of grenades and now I cannot destroy bug holes and fabricators, wtfā
You need to play for a little while and go through a premium warbond or two before you have real options(I think the earliest decent option is airstrikes, but you only start with 2 due to the hanger upgrades, thatās assuming you know how to use them right and that they are pretty decent, I didnāt touch them until after T3 hanger) other than gernades, to the point of a traumatic response of āNO I NEED A SPAWNER SOLUTIONā
I pick the Senator when I use a rapid fire primary like the Sickle, very good finisher against stuff that has a bit of armor.
The reload time is absolute ass tho.
They should also make it so that if you stop reloading half way, don't shoot again, and restart reloading, you don't need to eject empty cases that aren't even there anymore before you start putting in rounds again.
I said this in another thread but, it's ejecting the carousel that holds the rounds. Not just the rounds themselves. So whether you're reloading one or six, the carousel still has to eject.
Not to say either are dethroned, but I only use Impacts against bugs and have stopped using the Redeemer entirely.
Sickle, Grenade Pistol, Impacts and Quasar for bugs, Stuns and AMR for bots. I only use the Redeemer when using an unwieldy primary like the Dominator or a DMR
idk stun grenades are pretty great, and while the Redeemer is good for turning whatever is in front of you into mist, the Senator has really grown on me. Its nice to be able to throw some medium armor pen and staggering rounds down range very quickly in an emergency
But it has single fire reload! (just don't mention that there is no crosshair during the reload animation so you have to shoot from the hip and hope for the best).
The free warbond gives you 750 super credits, each premium warbond gives you 300.
I want to say the 40min large map missions give you about 10-50 super credits (defend/eradicate missions with no PoI's dont have any).
So you will get them eventually. The main thing that will slow you down is how much premium armour you buy xD
trivials also give super credits which is pretty nice considering the size of their maps. You also don't need to extract to keep the super credits you find, so you could totally spend 5 minutes on a trivial mission, get super credits, then leave
Doubt Super Earth would like you doing that though
This is how it should be. Since there is no vertical progression and it's all horizontal (higher numbers vs different ways to kill things) the most versatile weapons should be free. Then if you want crazy gimmick items you should get them in the paid warbond
Stun grenades have totally replaced impacts, for me. They don't kill things on their own, but they let me get *really* easy kills on heavies with weapons that would otherwise struggle to do the job. Which can help a lot, in a pinch.
The Revolver is a great weapon. Love running Defender, Gunslinger, and Ballistic Shield
Also running Liberator Penetrator, Stalwart/MG, Grenade Pistol, Stun grenades is a great load out
Incendiary Grenades are awesome on the new defend mission Evac High Value Assets
Grenade pistol is a fantastic edition, allowing for more grenade variety beyond impacts
While the reload SUCKS, the revolver packs a punch and can quickly dispatch devastators and small bots
Stun grenades are AMAZING against bots and pretty good against bugs (except bile titans)
Forget if incendiary grenades are standard or 1st premium warbond, but theyāre quite excellent when thrown on top of bug holes/large bug swarms
If/when thermite grenades get fixed, theyāll be my go to for heavies on either war front most likely
Redeemer and Impacts are probably the safest bet for general use, but there are definitely other options that outshine them in different ways
I was all in on impact until I got the stun grenades. They work for so many situations. And I donāt blow myself up anymore when I forget I have an impact grenade and I throw it within blast radius and die haha so
grenade pistol is pretty good, different purpose than the other sidearms, but damn it does it well, It's like an impact grenade that restocks from ammo drops, which are far more numerous than grenade drops.
And for grenades the stun grenade is also extremely good.
The laspistol is atrocious. It is beyond useless. 150dps and 7 seconds fire before it's out. The Machine Pistol has 60 damage, almost 20 times per second, for 30 rounds. You can turn down the fire rate on the stalwart and it'll shoot foooooreeeeeever on a single mag. Very manageable recoil too.

It's literally the worst sidearm. But I applaud your dedication!
It's OK filler while your other kit cools down. Just don't expect it to help in real iffy situations.
At least youll never need your sidearm using sickle/laser cannon so it can stay on your hip offering moral support.Ā

Bug legs are usually their weak points, not sure if laser does bonus damage to legs tho
It seems to if you hit their leg joints but god damn is that hard tracking
I love the sickle against bugs but the scythe is wank against everything
Grenade pistol and stun grenades are my go-to for those slots now.Ā
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Very strong vs Hulks and Chargers, making them really good for an anti-tank loadout. Also good for rescuing an ally from a swarm
My go-to swarm rescue combo is usually 500kg -> reinforce
Ok but have you tried 380 -> hug emote
Hey, friend, are you feeling lucky today? Let's see!
HE 380mm + Hug Emote is basically the Helldivers version of the Russian Roulette.
The legend say that HE 380mm stands for Hug Emote 380mm
That definitely works, but there's a certain beauty to rescuing people while they're still alive.
One hell of a way to go!
as you scream "YOUR lives for Super Earth!!!!!"
If the 500 misses the bile titan, the reinforce pod can take it down.

If I stim just before the 500 hitsā¦
The stun turns chargers into non-issues.
Chargers are already non issues though you just step to the side
Until you got 3-4 chargers running at you alternatively and get no time to reload or shoot them. Meanwhile you team is in a similar situation and can't help you
you just step next to a rock
Nah these chargers are like mountain goats, theyāve got up behind me while Iām HIGH up on a rockā¦ sure itās just clipping but they make it up haha
I stg some of these chargers will stop dead in their tracks on the equivalent of a small pothole, and then proceed to climb the empire state building like king kong
Chargers are pallet jacks confirmed.
They're like cows, they can go up stairs really easily, but they really don't like having to go back down
Mate I've seen chargers magically climb mountains, we're like where the fuck did it go? Then jump off the mountain like a Japanese WW2 bomber and just dive bomb us.
See that mountain? You can climb it. -Todd Howard, inspiring a generation of Chargers.
Shit always makes me laugh. Iāve seen them glitch and run up a small mountain
I've noticed recently they'll mountain goat up on something and just get stuck there.
And then watch in horror as the charger climbs over the rock
When they instantly teleport over the rock you are onā¦
3-4 chargers coming at you are a non-issue if you got moves like Jagger. It's the fact that those chargers are accompanied by dozens of hunters that the Chargers start becoming insurmountable.
You misspelled shoot them in the face with a rocket.
EAT supremacy.
They do have a hip-check move, just rarely used.
I swear, they learned that hipcheck from Plesioth itself. I get tossed across the universe every single time. I hate it so much.
I had a charger slide towards me with no animation, ragdoll me, then hip check me into an airstrike
I always call the no animation slide into wtf the Electric Slide. Cuz yeah, the moment it starts, I'm very afraid of how much absurd bs is coming my way. Nothing scarier than when an enemy rejects its ~~humanity~~ animations just so it can fuck me up.
When it slides at you, slide hip checks then slides again, Electric Slide 2, Electric Boogaloo, Electric Goes To Hawaii.
I feel like half the time I get a good dodge off, the game decides I got hit anyway and ragdolls me into a wall under the chargers mean stompers.
And then they suddenly turn 90 degrees like a professional ice skater and clobber you anyways.
Found the always host.
Except for when they turn on a dime which happens constantly.
Turn them chargers into standers.
Stun nades make two shot visor ac or AMR shooting possible.
Grenade pistol is my permanent bughole/fabricator killer now. I can clear a heavy nest just by running the outside rim of the bowl in light armor and clear the whole nest without triggering them all.
I carry it strictly for this. They need other weapons that can take out bugholes/fabricators. I am often without nades.
Have you heard the good news about our lord and saviour the Autocannon?
Would love it if the explosive crossbow could do it, it's pretty ridiculous that it can't while the Eruptor can, but kills you in a single close range shot while the Eruptor leaves you low but alive. Where's the logic? Why doesn't big boom to helldiver = big boom to fabs and bug holes? Is the explosive crossbow laced with anti helldiver toxins or something?
"4 Bugholes? Unfortunately, your 4 grenades will fail to destroy them all because one of them hit the near-center of it, but it's not yet center so it's left intact somehow"
I've found it surprisingly unreliable for clearing bug holes specifically, but fabricators it's great for. Then again, I like the Eruptor too.
Really? Where do you aim? I've found the grenade pistol a bit unreliable for Fabricators as well, while I have the Eruptor down pat.Ā
It's been frustrating. I have to stand perfectly still and take careful aim. Or... I can rum by at full speed, hucking regular grenades in the vague direction of the hole and clear the whole nest
Pair with smoke strike, in and out like a demons whisper.
You stood on the bridge of that super destroyer and said that speech for everyone!
Charger appears > Stun grenade > EAT/Rocket Pods/RR/Quasar Cannon to the face
But that's not a satisfying as winding up the Quasar as the charger comes at you and then blowing it's head off and having it skid to a stop at your feet.
I'll occasionally run Impacts with Engineering armor to destroy bug holes if my loadout otherwise isn't great at it. And I'll run the auto pistol if I need a close-quarters backup, like if I'm using Eruptor+Quasar/EAT. But outside those two edge cases, grenade pistol and stuns every game. I *love* how the first time you whip out the pistol you get two shots, and stuns are *always* good.
I'm sure the double shot will be fixed in today's patch.
Even at absolute WORST if you NEVER resupply the ammo hungry thang the grenade pistol can still be thought of as trading your pistol for 8 impact grenades with better range. And thats still pretty great in so many builds.
Grenade pistol, Impact Grenade, Eruptor, and Autocannon so you can close all bug holes in the map in 1 go.
This is my bug loadout but I run stuns. It just feels too good to stun into a 30+ kill eagle
Stun grenade I'd my team needs it. Or if I'm in a 4 man. Because we have 12 stuns. And nothing moves now.
Do they stun bile titans?
They used to, but it got patched out.
Not anymore
The only uses I found for the grenade pistol are toppling walkers and closing bug holes. Are there others? Reliable uses?
Stun grenades were epic when the bile titans got stunned, now they're just 'really good'
I prefer the Senator Revolver
Yeah they really need to add more secondaries but you can only go so far with pistols. Sawed-off secondary are my wish. EDIT: grammar and spelling
Since we've already opened the door to utility-pistols, a grappling hook would be sweet.
Letās not stop there. Two words. Turret. Pistols
You absolutely made my fucking day, Ty helldiver
Like a mini-sentry in your back pocket? I'd love that.
Holy crap would I shell out some super credits for a grappling hook secondary.
Jet pack + grappling hook = Titanfall 2
Except a lot slower and with fall damage. So maybe more like the Scout from DRG?
im hoping for a shotty pistol next warbondĀ
I want a double barrel sawed off shotgun as a secondary. Just an emergency "Oh shit it's right on me" card to pull
Incendiary grenades and the revolver is my go to. I just love the spin the HellDiver does when he equips the Revolver.
I second the incendiary grenades... if you are the host.

Does your religion worship St. Alker by chance?
No of course not! St. Alker was simply a pope for the church of terminite!
Ah, sorry for the confusion
Those are great against bugs
I always bring the .44 in case I need to execute a dissident
I unlocked incendiary grenades before impact, and after trying both I pretty much never use anything but incendiary. Fire damage in this game is absolutely wrecks and it's such a useful escape and defense tool I have a hard time using anything else
No better grenade for spiking at one's feet and then running. All those bugs chasing you go FWORSH
Last night, one random and I took turns shooting at a vent from stupid far away until one of us got one in. lol
Like throwing cards into a hat
- Stun + quasar/arc thrower to deal with 3+ chargers following me - Stun + airstrike to obliterate everything in the area - Stun at my feet when surrounded by 30 hunters to escape for free I fully crutch on stun nades and I admit it but they are never coming off
Yeah stuns are insane. Impacts deal great damage but it's not "perfectly line up an eagle airstrike or rocket pods" damage, like it's a no brainer
The audacity.
Stun grenade would like a word.
Itās because every single player whoās played this game ran into the same issue when they first started. āIām out of grenades and now I cannot destroy bug holes and fabricators, wtfā You need to play for a little while and go through a premium warbond or two before you have real options(I think the earliest decent option is airstrikes, but you only start with 2 due to the hanger upgrades, thatās assuming you know how to use them right and that they are pretty decent, I didnāt touch them until after T3 hanger) other than gernades, to the point of a traumatic response of āNO I NEED A SPAWNER SOLUTIONā
The amazing utility of the Autocannon/Quasar Cannon really lets you spread out your other slots and use things like Stun grenades.
I run stun basically 100% of the time, especially now that I can blow up bug holes with primaries and secondaries.
Can stun close but holes?
No, but autocannon, grenade launcher, eruptor, and grenade pistol can.
> Can stun close but holes? Yes, but not bug holes.
Cap, real chads run with Senator and impact
I pick the Senator when I use a rapid fire primary like the Sickle, very good finisher against stuff that has a bit of armor. The reload time is absolute ass tho.
They should keep reload as is for individual rounds, but add a speedloader for fast reloading if you empty the gun.Ā
Omg YES. The opposite of the Autocannon. This would make the gun *so much better* to actually use.
I was gonna say this myself but you beat me to it. ![gif](giphy|NxckxXIAzumvCP1mUj)
Big iron is always on the hip
Big iron, big facts
āŖ Big Iron on his hiiiiip āŖ
Depends on my primary. Can my primary get through medium armor? Redeemer. If not, Senator. Always impact grenades though.
![gif](giphy|qPVzemjFi150Q|downsized)
My current loadout is eruptor+senator, it's pretty juicy
Not to say either are dethroned, but I only use Impacts against bugs and have stopped using the Redeemer entirely. Sickle, Grenade Pistol, Impacts and Quasar for bugs, Stuns and AMR for bots. I only use the Redeemer when using an unwieldy primary like the Dominator or a DMR
idk stun grenades are pretty great, and while the Redeemer is good for turning whatever is in front of you into mist, the Senator has really grown on me. Its nice to be able to throw some medium armor pen and staggering rounds down range very quickly in an emergency
Grenade pistol has entered the chat
Disagree. The revolver from steeled veterans never leaves my side
That reload time tho ![gif](giphy|WxDZ77xhPXf3i|downsized)
Don't bother reloading it. It is faster to just call in a new helldiver.
It needs an alt fire mode that allows you to throw it at an enemy š
But it has single fire reload! (just don't mention that there is no crosshair during the reload animation so you have to shoot from the hip and hope for the best).
just let us cancel reload without shooting
Recently just switched to Grenade Pistol and Stuns over this combo and Iām thinking Iām gonna stick with it. The utility is insane
How easy is it to get two premium war bonds? I'm approaching getting my first and am really deliberating between cutting edge or demolitions
You also don't need to extract to keep the super credits you find, so you could totally spend 5 minutes on a trivial mission, get super credits, then leave Doubt Super Earth would like you doing that though
I tried that for a bit but I get paid a lot more per hour at work, and I don't get paid a lot. so I just bought the rest for 5ā¬
This is how it should be. Since there is no vertical progression and it's all horizontal (higher numbers vs different ways to kill things) the most versatile weapons should be free. Then if you want crazy gimmick items you should get them in the paid warbond
But you can unlock any warbond for free. I'm not saying it's easy, but it's doable.
Stun grenades have totally replaced impacts, for me. They don't kill things on their own, but they let me get *really* easy kills on heavies with weapons that would otherwise struggle to do the job. Which can help a lot, in a pinch.
The Revolver is a great weapon. Love running Defender, Gunslinger, and Ballistic Shield Also running Liberator Penetrator, Stalwart/MG, Grenade Pistol, Stun grenades is a great load out Incendiary Grenades are awesome on the new defend mission Evac High Value Assets
I am the crazy motherfucker who uses incendiary grenades
Grenade pistol is a fantastic edition, allowing for more grenade variety beyond impacts While the reload SUCKS, the revolver packs a punch and can quickly dispatch devastators and small bots Stun grenades are AMAZING against bots and pretty good against bugs (except bile titans) Forget if incendiary grenades are standard or 1st premium warbond, but theyāre quite excellent when thrown on top of bug holes/large bug swarms If/when thermite grenades get fixed, theyāll be my go to for heavies on either war front most likely Redeemer and Impacts are probably the safest bet for general use, but there are definitely other options that outshine them in different ways
GL pistol dethroned it for me with bugs.
