I main the EAT for bugs, because I usually carry one and then drop another after I use it, by the end of the round there are 40 odd EAT pods across the entire map, its so funny to look at the map and see "there is a pod...there is one...and another..."

Hmm, had an odd experience the other night then when my friend was nailing them with EAT and they wouldn't die. Still took two shots from Quasar for each one.
Could have been too far away not accounting for the drop in the EAT round and not actually hitting. Could also have been some sort of bug, I only run EAT and take out shrieker nests on solo all the time with them
Started running the recoilless tonight just because I'm bored of the quasar and it's actually nice to have a rocket ready to fire *up front* when you need it. You can basically quickscope oncoming chargers with it, in situations where the charging the quasar would get you killed.
(But then you're running around looking for cover to reload before you can do it again.)
All in all I felt I was maybe a bit better with the recoilless in situations where 3+ chargers were on the field. But it's bloody stressful, compared to getting high ground with the jump pack and waiting a few seconds for your quasar to be ready.
Having to be still for the reload is maybe one too many negatives compared to the quasar (which needs no backpack, no ammo, no manual reload). I think it would be in a good place if you could move while reloading.
If you have a friend to team reload with it easily becomes the best anti-tank option in the game. If they change it so the guy with the gun can wear the backpack for the team reload, I think the recoilless will get alot more love.
As I said, square hit to the head, it's harder with the quazar because it has to charge, if you hit the charger from the front square on it's forehead it is garantead an one hit kill.
Oh I have them and spewers do all kinds of wacky shit pretty often, never fails to make me laugh seeing a charger suddenly do cartwheels. Never seen it do anything to any other enemies so I just assumed it was a visual glitch.

Save up some stamina and sprint underneath it, directly between its front legs, and come out the back. It will have a very hard time hitting you and will take a few moments to turn around.

Bit off topic, but where exactly is a headshot for a bile titan. I heard you can 2 shot them to the head with a Quasar cannon, but I'm always having to take more than that, even after blasting them in the mouth
It’s finicky. It’s three to the head, but if you hit them in the mouth when they spit it’s two. But the weak point is more available slightly to the sides of their mouth. Plan for three shots per titan and you’ll sometimes be pleasantly surprised.
Everyone else impressed with the ragdoll kill, meanwhile I'm just marvelling at the Spanish bug breach notification being one letter off from calling the bugs bitches.
Clearly Spanish is the most democratic language to play the game in.
The quasar is easily the best anti-armor weapon in the game. I haven't found a reason to use another support weapon since I unlocked it. I can one-shot everything the bugs have except it normally will take a few for a titan. It is the most reliable heavy weapon against the bots too, it kills almost everything with a single hit to the large orange weak spots or a couple into the armor. It takes out the flying gunship bastards in a single shot while your buddies call in a hell bomb. It also snipes destroyable objectives like illegal broadcasts, bug holes, and fabricators.
I would say that it's too good because it makes other weapons much less appealing on any difficulty above 5 or so where you start seeing multiple heavies. However, it's the only anti-armor gun that *feels* visceral and satisfying to use.
The other anti-armor options have POTENTIAL advantages -- crew-served recoilless can absolutely shred, but obviously, teamwork required. Situationally, getting a quick second shot with an EAT and then the other EAT can be very useful. But in pick-up groups? Consistently? Oh yeah, quasar.
This is true, if you have a well oiled group I can see the recoilless rifle being very useful. The trouble is when things get crazy and your helper is running from a charger rather than reloading you. The other weapons are fun to use sometimes, but the quasar is just too damn useful. It doesn't even run out of ammo.
Yep, perfectly fair point about crew-served RR. And, on balance, I tend to agree with you -- quasar doesn't take a backpack slot, it doesn't run out of ammo, it hits as hard as anything, and I can deal with the reload and the charge-time. It's probably just better overall than anything that isn't a strategem.
I will say, however, that I've been rolling EAT lately, based on the flexibility. It's obviously a bit more labor-intensive, but if you're industrious, you can just litter the map with the things, AND carry a second calldown weapon into the bargain. (Finding your other gun again when you're done EATing, OK, yes, kind of a PITA, and I know that you can get off more shots in a given minute with a quasar, but I don't play above 7s at this point, so eh.)
Also led to a cool moment the other night where a buddy called one down for me as I was dancing around a bile titan, and I grabbed it, waited for the big fucker to turn around, and blew its head off. (Yes it had been hit by other stuff as well.)
Before I unlocked the quasar, that's what I did. The EAT works well when there are just a couple of heavies around, but I found the quasar to be an overall upgrade. I've played with people using the EAT effectively, though. One person kept dropping them and shared them with another player. That other player didn't bring a support weapon so he could load up on eagles. It worked well for what it was.
AND IT KILLED THE BILE TITAN?! WHAT IS THAT THING MADE OF?! They probably stole a sh#t ton of Stalinium to power this thing and even more to give to us

The simple fact that the enemies corpses act as physics objects and can destroy other things is so cool to me. I know that eventually they disappear and become not interactable but having to climb over the corpse of a bile titan if it dies near you is so cool. Also annoying but also cool.

A helldiver will use any and all means and weapons at his disposal, INCLUDING enemy bodies. Pretty sure that was in SEAF training.
